Opening Up
like a bud i try to open up
one summer's day
eager for the rays of the sun
and the coolness of the wind
but then
something goes wrong in my sepals
the twig twists itself
and the bud wilts
something goes wrong
how can i ever tell you about the reason for the wilting?

Indiscretion
RED tulip-buds last night caressed
The sacred ivory of her breast.
She met me, eager to divine
What gold-heart bud of hope was mine.
Nor eyes nor lips were strong to part
The close-curled petals round my heart;
The joy I knew no monarch knows,
Yet not a petal would unclose.
But, ah!--the tulip-buds, unwise,
Warmed with the sunshine of her eyes,
And by her soft breath glorified
Went mad with love and opened wide.
She saw their hearts, all golden-gay,
Laughed, frowned, and flung the flowers away.

I Found A Rose
I found a rose
between a rose bud
and a dieing rose
neither pick nor pulled
grown from the seed and into the vines
one day the rose will die as though as the other
the bud will die as though as the others
but i plucked the dieing rose to put it out of its misserary
i plucked the rose bud to put it out of its misserary
and i left the rose for its process has begun

Winter turns to Spring
Leaves returning to bud…and
Snow turning to mud

Valley of Love
The bud opens its soft petals
to greet the humming bee
and then they whisper
behind the rosewood tree
The bee romps away rosily
in the valley in glee
Thier love blossoms
behind the rosewood tree...
In the valley of love in every weather
The bud and the bee dance together.......!

Pain tight in a bud
Unbearable and very, very hard
Soft in the blossom.

White And Green
Hey! My daffodil-crowned,
Slim and without sandals!
As the sudden spurt of flame upon darkness
So my eyeballs are startled with you,
Supple-limbed youth among the fruit-trees,
Light runner through tasselled orchards.
You are an almond flower unsheathed
Leaping and flickering between the budded branches.

The Wooing Of Gheezis
The red chief Gheezis, chief of the golden wampum, lay
And watched the west-wind blow adrift the clouds,
With breath all flowery, that from his calumet
Curl'd like to smoke about the mountain tops.
Gheezis look'd from his wigwam, blue as little pools
Drained from the restless mother-wave, that lay
Dreaming in golden hollows of her sands;
And deck'd his yellow locks with feath'ry clouds,
And took his pointed arrows and so stoop'd
And leaning with his red hands on the hills,
Look'd with long glances all along the earth.
'Mudjekeewis, West-Wind, in amongst the forest,
'I see a maid, gold-hued as maize full ripe; her eyes
'Laugh under the dusk boughs like watercourses;
'Her moccasins are wrought with threads of light: her hands
'Are full of blue eggs of the robin, and of buds
'Of lilies, and green spears of rice: O Mudjekeewis,
'Who is the maid, gold-hued as maize full-ripen'd?'
'O sun, O Gheezis, that is Spring, is Segwun--woo her!'
'I cannot, for she hides behind the behmagut--

The artist
God is the artist who makes the world present
between the buds of colors,
in the heart of the moments,
in the wood of the forests.
His expression,
it is the spark rising from the dust
like a miracle without clothes
in the heart of every mortal - The Love.

Automation
a seed that falls to the ground
from a dead, rotten fruit
cracks its covering and
sprouts
a tight bud soon
from a stalk opens up to become
a full blooming flower
with petals proud and
dignified
and so must you girl
be the seed and the bud
and be the full flower that you can be
in full automation

Porcelain Crab
Shifting grapes, wave
Through budding, rounded
Together, perfect
Translucent crab
Reaches for a speck
Of gold in the midst
Of all that purple.

Diminished
Diminished,
Pity,
Pretty,
Prey,
Satisfied! !
But, you are now surrounded with famine;
For, your ways are now crooked.
Ruin,
Repay,
Match,
Land,
Behold! !
According to your ways and according to your love;
For, the rod had now blossomed and,
Your pride has now budded!
And, you have been diminished in size.

Tight Lipped
tight lipped
a bud
opens
a little mouth
a petal
and sighs
then
you smell
the scent
of a rose
a woman
and comes
a man
the wind
swallowing
a petal
a woman
in his arms
away

Buds and flowers
A poem should not be as blunt
as a prostitute is, in its intents.
Be it a bud with contents
for others to explore and exploit.
A story should not be as stunt
as an impotent is, for its events.
Be it an unfurled flower in focus
for others to stay and scan.
A poem is a bud; a story is a flower.
