Smile Becoming Larger

Being was my forte,
where the words speak no more
a lifetime of black stillness,
the sunflowers sleeping.
The controller and the enquiry
freeze the ozone.
I repent again for all the sins of eloquence,
the rustling of leaves.

Take care of mood,
hoarseness and slippery speech
there is no room for pain.
A whole tribe of thoughts
scatters the lines to avoid
becoming, featureless and nameless.
Boulders are falling on feathers.
I am leaning towards eerie winds.

The other side of the door

Funny World

Funny how the very ones who
Say they carry the light, also
Bare the responsibility
For most of the pain in the world.
Funny how the loudest whiners
Are the fanciest diners at the
Buffet of humanity.
Funny how the rich are exempt
And the poor breed contempt;
How the nations with the most to give
Play the best game of politics
Supplying the weaponry that
Eventually kills even their own children.
Funny isn’t it how the world works
With its upside down righteousness
And its lawful injustice, while
All the best parts of mankind are being
Sucked out through the holes in the ozone

Fistful

Gulping the morning ozone, mind is rejuvenating
Feeling much juvenile, I start to explore
With my right hand lengthily extending
I’m soaring, my intellect surging over
To carry the whole earth in my fist
Brain and heart conspire to venture
Beyond this ocean, there, horizon untouched yet
Aspiring to touch it, zooms on
My longer hand more extended upon
Touches the horizon; travels round the earth
Ends at my feet with fistful earth
More excited travelling in all directions
Longer hand tries much to its expectations
To carry the planet in its fist
Only in vain unaware of its folly yet
Fatigued extremely the hand resumes its size
My brain and heart blaming each other
Think upon their failure to realise
The virtuoso’s knowledge is only fistful

The sun is hotter than the top ledge in a steam bath;
The ravine, crazed, is rampaging below.
Spring -- that corn-fed, husky milkmaid --
Is busy at her chores with never a letup.

The snow is wasting (pernicious anemia --
See those branching veinlets of impotent blue?)
Yet in the cowbarn life is burbling, steaming,
And the tines of pitchforks simply glow with health.

These days -- these days, and these nights also!
With eavesdrop thrumming its tattoos at noon,
With icicles (cachectic!) hanging on to gables,
And with the chattering of rills that never sleep!

All doors are flung open -- in stable and in cowbarn;
Pigeons peck at oats fallen in the snow;
And the culprit of all this and its life-begetter--
The pile of manure -- is pungent with ozone.

The end of this planet

People expect the end
of this planet
to occur at Armageddon

but slowly but surely
man is destroying
this planet by himself.

The ozone layer is disappearing
by contamination in the air,
the clean water resources are disappearing
by sewerage draining into streams

and with floods, vehement storms,
waves from the sea destroying and streaming over buildings,
drought, great heat and deserts appearing
man is solely responsible.

A Far Greater Threat

More of a threat to human existence than the economic recession is the ozone hole in the sky
That scientists claim is growing bigger as the years go by
Caused by carbon emissions that cause Global warming by experts we have been told
The climate is warming even in Lands known to be cold.

Compared to climate change economic recession as a problem seems small
To human existence on the Planet the greatest challenge of all
Is Global warming which we know is Worldwide
Due to our greed for material gain we've put Nature offside.

This World is for us to live in not for to destroy
For the future generation every young girl and boy
We are making life for them harder for our greed they must pay
I hope I am wrong in this though it does seem that way.

The economic recessions they come and they go
And after every recession the economy does grow
But Global warming to humanity is a far greater threat
As it does seem a matter of life and of death.

The distance calls.

So Not in the mood for a party.
The sky is gray with smog,
Industrial emissions
threaten future generations.
Toxic oceans, acid rain,

Spring sunlight filters through new leaves
in this wood near Athens;
the ozone of the sea not far away
livens the nostrils of the hopeful student
pausing in front of the marble columns.

The pause is a departure and an arrival:

who knows how far?

Apocalypse

Volcanic aerosols tend to block the needed sunlight
And contribute to short term cooling, but it's not perfect.
Volcanoes emit carbon dioxide, which is not alright..
It's a greenhouse gas, which has a warming effect.

Moreover, its level is already more higher than usual
And it determines to increase the global temperature.
When temperatures become warmer, it's not normal,
And carbon is released from the oceans., for sure.

The volume of this gas has increased, exceeding
The thirty five percent in the last three hundred years.
This increase is due to human being induced burning
]From fossil fuels, deforestation and industry, with no fears.

Carbon dioxide is an important greenhouse gas.
The human caused an increase in its concentration
And the atmosphere has strengthened the greenhouse
Effect, contributing to global warming without salvation.

Is a den of great catastrophies
as a wel known thyphoons belt

Am I an elf to jump up and down?

Do you know what I had gone through,
When he beat me in lightening speed?
Family surface tension pushed me to commit,
The impermanent nuptial with unknown slot,
Dreams of evaporation had sent us to roam,
The rich and poor cities that hold the flags,
Up in the sky, our union witnessed by everyone,
We had become thick not thin to hide the Sun,

Still drops fall
while a child cries, while the day dies
and dark is the sky
covered in clouds, darker than night

while for money men do terrible things
and factories produce at any cost,
even the lost of clean air,

in great floods
