Melodie's Song
because i'm the smallest of them all
i don't do things that are tall.
i have more magic per inch of stuffing
as you can see i'm not bluffing
bluffing when i say
i can make every child have a 'very happy birthday! '
oooh, oooh, how i really like being a smal doll!
oooh, oooh, how i like not being tall!
oooh, oooh, i am sooo happy, happy as can be!
i'm your intergalatic doll named melodie!
i like visit different places and look for birds in the trees.
'oooh, oooh, i'm melodie!
the happy doll whose really small as small as can be!

River Deep, Mountain High
When I was a little girl
I had a rag doll
The only doll I ever owned
Now I love you just the way
I loved that rag doll
But only now my love has grown
And it gets stronger in every way
And it gets deeper, love it stays
And it gets higher until our day
-chorus:
And, do I love you my oh my
Yeah, river deep, mountain high (ya, ya, ya)
If I lost you would I cry
Oh I love you baby, baby, baby, baby
When you were a young boy
Did you have a puppy
That always followed you around
Well Im gonna be as faithful as that puppy
No Ill never let you down
Cause it goes on and on like a river flows

Shaking The Doll
Oh I wont be your pretty baby,
I wont eat from your hand again.
And the man in the white says its alright,
He says, come on girl give up the fight.
Youll go to sleep, there will be no pain.
Well I want to live with myself again.
Well, where we lived there was a lighthouse,
Throwing a white beam into our house,
Over my body when I was sleeping,
Over the secrets I was keeping,
I could tell myself there would be no pain,
But I have to live with myself again.
Im digging up, Im digging up,
Im digging up, Im digging up,
Im digging up, Im digging up,
Im digging in the earth.
Im looking for signs
And Im shaking the dolls
And the fairy-tales lied
And somewhere, back there

Sister Lisa's Surprise
As a kid I made a fake "me" doll,
she was like me but not too tall.
I sewed her up with bathroom towels,
she was original and had no jowls.
Practical joke I did make,
with Funny Doll that was fake.
I put fake doll in my bed,
covered the blankets over dolls head.
Then my sister went to sleep,
I told her from far away,
I was sleeping "Please don't make a peep? "
My sister said, "Are you alright?
you look very sick looking tonight."
I replied, with a yell, ha! Ha!
Then I ran to room laughing like hell.
My sister got scared, and then she laughed,
It was very funny, it was a blast.
These funny childhood memories are the ones that last.

The Doll Upon The Topmost Bough
This doll upon the topmost bough,
This playmate-gift, in Christmas dress,
Was taken down and brought to me
One sleety night most comfortless.
Her hair was gold, her dolly-sash
Was gray brocade, most good to see.
The dear toy laughed, and I forgot
The ill the new year promised me.

La Dolly Vita
i lay my head on her bosom
to cry myself to sleep
i see no greater wisdom
than she has given me
la dolly vita
sweet as true love
la dolly vita
cool as ice cream
cool as ice cream
you hear a lot of visions
you can't even stop
can't see what you're missing
spinning like a top
fade away

The Wooden Doll And The Wax Doll
THERE were two friends, a very charming pair,
Brunette the brown, and Blanchidine the fair;
And she to love Brunette did constantly incline,
Nor less did Brunette love sweet Blanchidine.
Brunette in dress was neat, yet always plain;
But Blanchidine of finery was vain.
Now Blanchidine a new acquaintance made–
A little girl most sumptuously array'd,
In plumes and ribbons, gaudy to behold,
And India frock, with spots of shining gold.
Said Blanchidine, 'A girl so richly dress'd,
Should surely be by every one caress'd.
To play with me, if she will condescend,
Henceforth 'tis she alone shall be my friend. '
And so for this new friend in silks adorn'd,
Her poor Brunette was slighted, left, and scorn'd.
Of Blanchidine's vast stock of pretty toys,
A wooden doll her every thought employs,
Its neck so white, so smooth, its cheeks so red–
She kiss'd, she fondled, and she took to bed.

Dolly Dagger
Here comes dolly dagger
Her loves so heavy, gonna make you stagger.
Dolly dagger, she drinks her blood from a jagged edge...
Been riding broomsticks since she was fifteen
Blow out all the other witches on the scene.
She got a bull whip, just as long as your life.
Her tongue can even scratch
The soul out of the devils wife.

The Ancient of Days
A child sits in a sunny place,
Too happy for a smile,
And plays through one long holiday
With balls to roll and pile;
A painted wind-mill by his side
Runs like a merry tune,
But the sails are the four great winds of heaven,
And the balls are the sun and moon.
A staring doll's-house shows to him
Green floors and starry rafter,
And many-coloured graven dolls
Live for his lonely laughter.
The dolls have crowns and aureoles,
Helmets and horns and wings.
For they are the saints and seraphim,
The prophets and the kings.

A faint-hearted dinky doll
When she reached the adulthood and she forgets her childhood friend who accompanied her in the nursery road.
She becomes a mother and numberless new toys scatter around her child.
Saga of a sad toy continues and this old doll wants to join with the new dolls but she is very scared.
Her child plays with toy guns, helicopters, warships, armory and etc.
The rustic old doll repents of the new civilization and she cries in an isolated trash box.

Ex-Whore
I'm a miserably predictable
Broken, sticked-up doll.
My dress is torn, my hair matted
And one arm dangles at my side.
My wounded pride, my wounded pride.
I used to be pretty, you know
Before I got so old, before I became disposable.
They used to look at me and smile
I was theirs for a while.
My wounded pride, my wounded pride.
Too old for the job,
No one pays to keep a rag.
I'm a doll, a broken doll,
Wishing I didn't fall.

All natural affections, including this, can become rivals to spiritual love: but they can also be preparatory imitations of it, training (so to speak) of the spiritual muscles which Grace may later put to a higher service; as women nurse dolls in childhood and later nurse children.
