Quotes about parachuting, page 3
Walk Through Hell
she's a needle,
and a spoon....
a loaded.45!
a tornado ripping
through a trailer park.
arsenic and bourbon,
cancer and skydiving....
she's a dark jungle,
fire, and quake!
she's a black pony
on the blackest of nights;
the sword, and the flesh....
the ditch, and the bones.
she's a burning cross,
and the last door knock....

Picaro bigender
Picaro decides bigender
on top of the dandallion reveals
a neutral one
dandallion little parachutes
pours them down into the mouth
of children hungry for innocence

The scenes in the show were filmed with a crew of really excellent stunt jumpers, but we had the feel of the parachutes, so we could be more realistic in the roles.

Coal Bins
Chicago, the South Side,
long before Barack Obama
those I'd love see live
anywhere they like
are those so black
they up long planks
in the heat of summer
wheelbarrow coal
so bright it pours
in a silver seiche
down chutes
through windows
of bungalow basements
crashing in coal bins
of new masters

Hydro Land Oddity
send shark teeth to float
away
i have always been swimming to
no[ ]way
tell the fish to breed
waves
and for anyone’s sake word-feed
Wales
break the coral reef stand in
way
you are riding the seahorse
backwards
i’ m climbing the seashore mountain to
Norway
let the parachuting priest dropp onto his
wage
I wish you every
silence
on your way to the
states

How It Hurts
Fallen down to shatter you arm
That is not pain
Hit in the chest by a random bullet
That is not pain
Out of the sky with no chute
That is not pain
Living a life and dying in vain
That is not pain
Feeling a love and not holding on
That is my pain....

Insertion (Enclosed Triplet)
With the bright moon that is tonight missing
as if it has suddenly strayed somewhere
the stars dimmed out, the air is rushing
while almost like a machine I am falling
from very high while breathing pure oxygen,
an exploding lightning bolt makes my ears sing
while the altimeter I am watching;
with each enemy guard, guard-tower primed
against penetration, in I am fluttering,
at terminal velocity it’s terrifying,
while life comes to a standstill around me
but that moment is but very fleeting
before a device is reminding
that the rushing ground is almost too near
and the jerking parachute is opening;

Before crash given golden parachutes
While Hank cajoled bilked investors

Stone Age
perhaps it's time
to parachute
one word
in lexicon
of science?
charity.
quickest way
to burn up
midnight oil
and a word
science may
one day
find useful?

To tell her that I joined the parachute club was too hard for me. I didn't want to trouble her; besides, I was not completely sure about the success of my new adventure.

Volleys Of Shots Rang Out As We Stormed
Volleys of shots rang out as we stormed,
the trenches that were meandering formed,
in the distance snipers were firing from a wall
into the cover of the nearest ditch we did fall.
A trooper next to me suddenly smiled
and everywhere around us was death’s smell,
the winter sun was very weak but mild
while our ears sang from a mortar shell.
In succession into the trench we did leap,
I fired from the hip from the point of entry,
the light machinegun did chattering sweep
in a enemy camp in a bordering country
where as soldiers we had parachuted in
and a passing bullet burnt my arm’s skin.

Santas Got An Airplane
Loop de loop flip flop santas got an airplane
Loop de loop flip flop flyin in an airplane
Loop de loop flip flop santas hearts full of joy
Loop de loop flip flop santas got a new toy
If youre up a little late on christmas eve this year
And youre waiting for that pudgy person to appear
Instead of the patter of tiny feet you will hear
cause loop de loop flip flop santas got an airplane
Loop de loop flip flop flyin in an airplane
Loop de loop flip flop santas hearts full of joy
Loop de loop flip flop santas got a new toy
He skydives down to the chimney with ease
Parachutes a package to the whole family
Its santas air special delivery to under your tree
Oh, well, loop de loop flip flop santas got an airplane
Loop de loop flip flop flyin in an airplane
Loop de loop flip flop santas hearts full of joy
Loop de loop flip flop santas got a new toy
Santa and rudy sittin at the controls
A buncha sleepy helpers waiting back at the pole

I certainly remember building model rockets. It was fun to watch the rocket blast into the air, suspenseful to wonder if the parachute would open to bring the rocket safely back.

Ciao Ceaucescu
CIAO CEAUCESCU
Securitate’s logic absolute
political ambitions can’t confute:
for presidential power persists an hour,
then price is paid - though putschists all dispute.
Prompt as the cock crows, regiments en route
strategic centres strike, then persecute
attempts by democrats, whose scattered flower
is blasted by the storm, despite the chute.
A U.S. State Department parachute.
A firing squad dispatched to prosecute.
A travesty of trial within an hour,
with no appeal and therefore no commute.
From squad commander to the raw recruit
all zealous rush, are spurred to execute
pro Russian rulers while the people cower,

The pressure suit helps if something goes wrong during launch or re-entry - astronauts have a way to parachute off the shuttle. The suits protect you from loss of pressure in case of emergency.

Gust Cotton Seed Wind Snows
dandelion remain herald mystic envoys
empire expand into new territories
honour all seed dispersed ruderals
who restore beauty to poor wastes
where once was barren life emerges
ruderals rapidly colonize wastelands
dandelion colour paint disturbed soils
yellow orange canopy veils delights
poet in appreciation walk restored fields
dandelion bright yellow bewitches souls
set off hues contrast in rich green grass
delights hearts soft walking grass blades
delights hearts walking nature's hue skins
surfaces stretch into infinite possibilities
even after flowering is finished smiles
dandelion flower head multiple rebirths
for entombed day or two flower head dries
is this husk death as fall off petals stamens?

Distraught Airlines
Hello...
This is your steward speaking!
I'd like to take this opportunity,
To thank that one motherf***ing passenger...
For that pleasant flight I could have had,
But didn't!
To the rest of you...
Kiss my ***.
Hope all of you have a great f***ing day.
And do fly again,
On Distraught Airlines.
Give me a beer.
I'm getting outta here!
And down the chute.

Modular Nonconformity
`
Never too early, never too late;
Life can be a heaped-up plate.
Today you are comfy, tomorrow, lost;
Yesterday's loss determines the cost.
The future disguises no blemishes.
Hope's a parachute that never vanishes.

Otter Creek
Past meadows, beyond trees, down muddy banks flows otter creek.
King fisher in branches, perched, poised.
Skydiver, bullet from above, silent splash, into otter creek.
Muscles plucked from their beds, shells discarded, gathered for fun, pass up not one.
Trout fry swim swiftly, cray fish beneath rocks avoid seeking hands, pincers poised, threatening stance.
Kids crossing fallen logs, catching frogs, skipping rocks, swimming in otter creek.
Mud wars rage, picnic blanket laid on the green glade near otter creek.
We follow paw prints, beneath willow tree roots, den site dug deep into muddy banks of otter creek.
Within the town of Franklinville, hot summers day, sister, niece, and I, our dad's.
Never saw the otters of the creek, only paw prints, left proof of an existence.
In memories I venture, hoping, just a glimpse.
To sit once again, past meadows, beyond trees, down muddy banks, there it flows, otter creek.
