Memory
Oh, how i have missed David's smile
Or the feel of his denim against my skin
Long ago on Graham St.
As days were long and passion swift
And the Times Headline Banner was: Love
I can still see his face in my mind's eye
Unchained melody comes to mind
Bill Medley's twin reflection
It is as clear as yesterday
When youth knew true love
Olympia now makes his home
Residing with another
Across the sprawling expanse of evergreen
Ah, but i still miss his smile
His denim
The Northern Lights
And Love-Sweet-Love

Oh Jungleland
Somebodys screaming out
Somebodys knocking out
Somebodys calling out, come hear it again
Street bells are ringing out
Young girls are singing out
Boys are building up to be men
Youve got the love
Then here comes the blood last
The father, the mother, the sister, the chain
Sweet inspirations
Or a cold hearted nations baby
The young man, the brothers, the killers explain
Oh jungleland
They call you home sweet home
You make me feel so sad, to leave here all alone
But there is a kid called hope
And hes holding out his hand
He sees the northern lights
Above this highrise land
Oh jungleland

Like a Rainbow
I see your colours shining bright,
Through the African clouds you show your light,
You are like a Rainbow and I can't touch you,
Hard as I try I just can't reach you,
When I reach out you move away,
When I catch up you're just not there,
When I move away I see you everywhere,
When the rain is gone you are still there, I just can't reach you,
Like a Rainbow, you are like a Rainbow,
Like a Rainbow, you are like a Rainbow,
Do you know why you shine so beautiful and bright?
Do you know how to shine without the light?
If you touch me I will know and you will glow,
If you let me reach you then I will teach you and we'll be alright,
At sunset you fade, then my stars come out,
The darkness comes between us, must we be apart?

The Perfect Pleasure
Hell has no such fury such as a woman's scorn.
Twisted and torn.
A benevolent pretzel.
I feel the morning lights.
Too bright.
A headache.
Ill take some Advil to go.
Cause I got to keep up with the show.
We will walk toe to toe.
We'll party till the body slows.
We will walk till it snows.
We will, we will, we will.
Oh such a thrill.
I'm going to reach the northern lights before I come into old age.
The stars are really not that far.
I feel so young.
I feel, I feel so undereducated.
Silently emasculated.
Yet I have the smarts to go on.
Never stop, never stop.

Me & You
If you can see my sorrow
If you can see my fear
If you can see tomorrow
I hope it's not too drear
I hope it isn't raining
I hope it's free of war
I hope nobody's dying
I see you know for sure
I see the sun is setting
I see the stars appear
I see the dancing Northern Lights
I know that night is here
I know you see my secrets
I know you see my tears
I know you watch me day and night
I feel you know my fears

Stop writing Literature, You garrulous Indian
a life of toil for the man in the centre
a hub in the peripheral tireless wheel
where he go then where he go this working man
he go on waking people working at waking man
no words cling now no words meant in blame
the tongue he lash the words they now tame
no shock of blast open laughter rock the hall
everyman there say there sure were a man
a man no fear cowed in communion to other
made for no gods made for no demons either
all men he know best when he see just once
no second thought resurrect the man if bad
so go tell the magi no trek in sight in sky
here a man be born here he so sure die

Will you be my Valentine?
Here is a poem for Valentine day..hope some of you will use it...as Valentine Day is around the corner :)
I pick up courage to tell you today,
that I love you more than I can say.
Love for me is a precious gift,
when I see you, my spirits lift.
Will you be my Valentine?
My love for you is honestly sweet,
I would never ever on you cheat.
Love for me is very precious,
making my smile infectious.
Will you be my Valentine?
Love for me is very gentle,
It's healing it is very sentimental.
Sometimes your leaving me I fear,
at home alone I shed, silent tears.
Will you be my Valentine?

Summons
Keep me from going to sleep too soon
Or if I go to sleep too soon
Come wake me up. Come any hour
Of night. Come whistling up the road.
Stomp on the porch. Bang on the door.
Make me get out of bed and come
And let you in and light a light.
Tell me the northern lights are on
And make me look. Or tell me clouds
Are doing something to the moon
They never did before, and show me.
See that I see. Talk to me till
I'm half as wide awake as you
And start to dress wondering why
I ever went to bed at all.
Tell me the walking is superb.
Not only tell me but persuade me.
You know I'm not too hard persuaded.

My Northern Lights
I am happy of who I am.
Their is not a alternate fantasy.
Emotions swell inside me.
I know what my purpose and goals are
And they don't reach that far.
In my mind I think I'm fine.
When they think I'm not.
They try get me to sit on the chair as they listen.
To tell them of my problems.
I'm sorry but will not.
Writing is my therapy.
Writing is my solution.
I create another world.
Please don't try to tell me to stop.
For it will destroy everything.
Just listen as my heart explodes.
Sends all kind of colours shooting across the midnight sky.
This is my northern lights and I want them to shine bright.

At Midnight Hour
AT midnight hour I went, not willingly,
A little, little boy, yon churchyard past,
To Father Vicar's house; the stars on high
On all around their beauteous radiance cast,
At midnight hour.
And when, in journeying o'er the path of life,
My love I follow'd, as she onward moved,
With stars and northern lights o'er head in strife,
Going and coming, perfect bliss I proved
At midnight hour.
Until at length the full moon, lustre-fraught,

Ms.Emily's Song
She n'er laiughed at much
I've heard
While her smile filled the air
Giggling only at the Butterfly and Bird
And for the Bee a heartfelt prayer
She n'er romanced in her life
I've been told
The Amherst moon divulged the news
Her soul wrapped 'round the yellow gold
The Galaxy 'twas her Muse
The 'Northern Lights' they beckoned
Her away from sod and the Bee
And took her heart in tender grasp
And filled it: 'with promise of eternity'
Dedicated to my favorite poet:
Miss Emily Dickinson

Aurora Borealis
_Commemorative of the Dissolution of armies at the Peace_
May, 1865
What power disbands the Northern Lights
After their steely play?
The lonely watcher feels an awe
Of Nature's sway,
As when appearing,
He marked their flashed uprearing
In the cold gloom--
Retreatings and advancings,
(Like dallyings of doom),
Transitions and enhancings,
And bloody ray.
The phantom-host has faded quite,
Splendor and Terror gone
Portent or promise--and gives way
To pale, meek Dawn;
The coming, going,

Still America
Big cities, small towns
Pent homes, farmhouse
Ghetto, Park Avenue
Public, privet
I matters not
It is still America
City streets, hiking trails
Montana, California
Models, hillbillies
Near, far
It matters not
It is still America
Wartime, peace
Torrent, drought
Terror, security
Together, alone
It matters not
It is still America
Southern nights, northern lights
County campsites, city hotels

Mystic Rhythm
So many things I think about
When I look far away
Things I know - things I wonder
Things I'd like to say
The more we think we know about
The greater the unknown
We suspend our disbelief
And we are not alone -
Mystic rhythms - capture my thoughts
And carry them away
Mysteries of night
Escape the light of day
Mystic rhythms - under northern lights
Or the African Sun
Primitive things stir
The hearts of everyone
We sometimes catch a window
A glimpse of what's beyond
Was it just imagination
Stringing us along?

Was it just imagination
Stringing us along?
More things than are dreamed about

Our forefathers
High memories with power
Shine through the wintry North
On every peak's white tower,
On Kattegat so swarth.
All is so still and spacious, `
The Northern Lights flow free,
Creating bright and gracious
A day of memory.
Each deed the North defending,
Each thought for greater might,
A star-like word is sending
Down through the frosty night!
To hope they call and boldness,
And call with double cheer
To him, defying coldness,
On guard the Eider near.
No anxious shadows clouding,
No languid, lukewarm mist

No Compulsory Votes Sept 11th,2012
Politicians don't want compulsory votes that might bring change,
They could be out of a job and homeless in the exchange,
Therefore this subject is forbidden and never spoken,
And the silence on this subject is secret and never broken.
And mandatory voting might interfere with human rights,
Especially here in Canada under the northern lights,
And the connected fine might interfere with many poor folk,
The government should know that these folk are already broke.
So aristocrats can stay in Ottawa for the rest of their lives,
Though it may be questionable if democracy survives,
No binding referendums or death with dignity allowed,
While the media moguls instruct us all to feel proud.

Enough
The color blue
I always felt it like a sigh
But this is new
This blue fire inside his eyes
With feet of snow
I try in vain
He makes the northern lights come dance for me again
(chorus)
He's good enough
He's sweet enough
He's man enough a little touch
I need so much
I want so much
I need to feel that secret touch
Why can't I break out
Why won't he reach out for me
Oh Loneliness
It comes and it goes
But lately loneliness loneliness
It just grows and grows and grows

Mighty Sun
Sun so hot, our desserts sear, give struggling life so much to bear.
Sun so bright, you clear our skies for us to see with sparkling eyes.
Sun of violence: in great warfare you lash afar with solar flare.
Sun so kind, you keep us warm, and dry us aft of squally storm.
Sun of power, driving flora – food of life for grateful fauna.
Sun of beauty: paint our morn to mesmerise with blushing dawn.
Sun mystique: electrify our lofty sky for Northern Lights to beautify.
Sun of calm: give hazy days to doze in shade of lazy rays.
O Sun, you mighty Sun! fire your furnace just for me –
Those flames of giants must always be!
And awesome though you truly are,
I pray, remain our blessed star!

And Though It's Dark And Cold Now
And though it’s dark and cold now
in this ice palace of broken windows
that don’t know whether to bite their lips
or cut their wrists like a suicide
that took it one step too far
like an eclipse that went into exile
I remember the swell and release
of your breasts in moonlight,
rising and falling like a lunar tide.
I remember coiling my finger around
the soft chestnut tendrils of your hair
as if I were dialling a long distance call
to someone I knew light years from here
who was living her dream
like the black sheep of a shepherd moon
she was giving her life up to.
You were an atmosphere on the nightshift
on the intensive care unit of a hospital
applying a cool poultice of moonlight
to the volcanic burns
