Quotes about galaxy, page 6
A small thing
Rewind, if you will,
Here, I'll help, hold my hand as
We walk with the Gods across
The vastnesses of existence to
A small, blue world where
Creatures live, fight, are born
And die. In their numberless hordes.
Wave on wave, repeating whilst
The galaxies move in the void and
The small, blue world spins
Round it's lifegiving sun, where
One of the creatures dies
And sinks to the bottom
Of it's ocean. Here to lie as
The planet breathes, evolves and
It's surface moves, land appears,
Disappears and falls again.
New creatures are born, evolve
Are made extinct,
And replaced again.

Vessel Of The Heart
From this world
To that one,
From that world
To this one,
From the earth to the sky,
To the farthest galaxy,
From the body to the soul,
And the extent
Whereto the sight goes,
Greater than the vastness of cosmos
Is the vessel of the Heart.

What I Really Want
the whole truth comes to me
the vast continental ocean to my thirst
i don't just ask for light
i ask for the sun and the galaxy
i will give you a hint: the earth, the space,
a flight of birds V-shaped in the horizon
not just a wind, but the storm

We Are The Horsemen
As we search for black people and white people
Seeking the world of the four horsemen facing
John, henry, the robot, dr. smith, and will robinson
Come in please -- on track for the remix
[kool keith]
Adjusting our systems the horsemen are ready to go
Our jets, should be ready for take off, any second
Aheheheheheheheh!
I probe for evidence, movin, positive beams
Incite the first gadget, my atom explodes
Just hit the fifth planet, the x reload
Take a brother on a flight for the alpha, omega
I kick lyrics on earth, you think i'm cosmic
A spacewalker, dippin in my spacecraft
Through molecules, a steel wall interphase
The fourth horseman, legendary universe
Dark shadow human rhymin on a funky verse
I'm level 7, optimus pull back
Feeding the world of gamma data, to locate
You interlock, power 7 warp speed

If God is a Dog
If God is a dog drowsing,
contemplating
the quintessential dogginess
of the universe, of the whole
canine race, why are we
uneasy?
No dog I know
would hurl thunderbolts,
or plant plague germs,
or shower us with darts
of pox or gonococci.
No. He lies on his back
awaiting
the cosmic belly rub.
He wags his tail signifying
universal love.
He frolics and cavorts
because he has just
taken a galactic shit

Out There (4)
look into the
galaxy
find comfort
into the wide space
why worry so much?
ah, there is no you,
in there, there is no
us, there is nothing in
there, there is
only the idea
bursting and then
the intolerable silence
of our existence, so
why worry?

Self-centered You
that the sun revolves
around the earth is not at all
a farce,
that all the stars and planets
and meteors and
other galaxies revolve
around the planet
earth where
you are situated is not at all
an outmoded
astronomical belief
the way you speak
and believe in yourself
speaks highly
of this 'truth'

Prophet 60091
This is the flight number of our galactic sun
Prophet 60091
Before we start you should know that youre not the only one
Who can hurt me
Sh10151
This is the serial number of our orbital gun
Sh10151
You better be sure before you leave me for another one
You can hurt me
I can hurt you
You can hurt me
You can hurt me
I can hurt you
But you better be sure before you leave me for another one
I can hurt you
You can hurt me
But you better be sure before you leave me for another one

Raiders Of Beyond
Raiders gonna open up the stargate
The planetary call is here to stay
Galactic energys in all directions
A ticket for a ride on a time machine
Now the gate is open solar wide
Million kingdoms are inside
Raiders of beyond - energise
Raiders of beyond - speed of light
Raiders of beyond - blinding white
Raiders of beyond - blaze eternity
Systematical declining forces
n gravity has lost n gone for good
Hypersonic engines scream for mercy
The elements will bear and take the load

Chorus

Corona
Bioluminous, two ships adrift
Passing in the night
Under the southern light
Aurora Australis
Becoming unmoved and unknowingly
Evolved
Like the supercluster of galaxies
In which they merge
A tingle, an urge
To gaze upward and glow into
One another's maze of faces.
It takes one simple touch to guide them.

How Sad
How sad that when you die
You do not even know
Eternally where you will lie,
Perhaps adrift, in galactic limbo?
How tragic, when the Way is there
Each day it's laid before you,
Yet blocked inside and under
By Pride, a self-righteous halo!
How final will the outcome be
As Damnation claims its own,
To late for choices then, you see,
When consuming fires have blown.
How foolish then to play a gamble
With one's soul, to win or lose?
A toss of the dice won't be able
To declare the Truth we must choose.

It's a lazy Saturday afternoon, there's a couple lying naked in bed reading Encyclopediea Brittannica to each other, and arguing about whether the Andromeda Galaxy is more 'numinous' than the Ressurection. Do they know how to have a good time, or don't they?

Tired Light
The distance is enormous
The universe is vast
I am the light
I travel fast.
The cosmos is monstrous
I am tired now
But space is boundless
I continue to plow.
Space is tremendous
My energy is lost
Between galaxies
In darkness and frost.
The universe enormous
I am tired now
But space is boundless
I continue to plow.

God Himself Cries
Joseph Manduke Poems
Poetry and thoughts written after 1956

God himself Cries
When love is true and lost the universe itself weeps
God himself cries when love is lost
Love is not contained
Galaxies weep when true love is lost
Nay, clusters of galaxies stop turning in infinity when love dies
God cries
The creator's heart itself, the infinite word
the power of creation that is love, waits
Takes pause in the tear
takes a moment from the foundation itself of all life and all hope

Know His World
the center table is the sun
and the chairs around are his planets
the walls are the horizons
the floors are the abyss
his words on paper scattered stars
his dogs and cats his zodiac
his silence his void
doubts his ripples
in the sea of galaxy
where his soul
is immersed.

Sun Phoenix Expanding
sun phoenix expanding
experientially exponentially
in ashen cosmic luminosity
exponentially momentarily
burst breath taking supernova
luminous outshines briefly
may outshine an entire galaxy
supreme beauty blazes forth radiant
seed stellar soul outstrip gravity

Far Away
I learnt the universe is infinitely huge; not
confined to the Milky Way Galaxy as I had
read in Arthur Mee’s Children’s Encyclopaedia
when I was small - there are infinite galaxies;
a stupendous discovery that left me high
with excitement
I was enthralled by Vincent Gaddis’ Invisible
Horizons and The Secret Life Of Plants early
in life, later discovering Charles Fort and his
rains of fishes and strange footprints which
just added grist to my mill
Erich von Daniken and Zechariah Sitchin
destroyed all fear of a prosaic life; the small,
Calvinist world of my youth with pain and duty
was reduced to a miniscule part of this
wonderfully exciting inter-subjective
illusion

Heaven Created The Galaxies
Heaven created the galaxies and the stars
Heaven created who you are.
Heaven created all that you see
even the emptiness in you in me.
Heaven created from thought form
heaven created the electric storm.
Heaven created you and me
so that we could create to
to bring joy and glee.

Little Wonder
Stinky weather fat
Shaky hand
Dopey morning doc
Grumpy gnomes
Little wonder then
Little wonder
You little wonder
Little wonder you
Big screen dolls
Tits and explosions
Sleepy timer
Bashful but nude
Little wonder then
Little wonder
You little wonder
Little wonder you
Enter galactic
See me to be you
Its all in the tablets
Sneezy bhutan

Sonnet On A Star
If I could write a sonnet
on a star
Then bottle it and
toss it to the sea
Would it travel
to the corners of the Earth,
And echo there
the love I hold for thee? If I could write a sonnet
on the moon
Then bottle it and
toss it to the winds
Would it find your heart
So you may briefly know,
Where your love ends
Is where my love begins? If I could write a sonnet
on the sun
Then bottle it and
toss it throughout time
Would someone from a distant galaxy
Find no greater love
