Don't you want to know what's real and what's not? I remember when I was a kid, you know, this whole Cold War thing. They had us scared of the Russians. So, it's almost like, what's real and what's not?

So with the end of the Cold War, it became increasingly obvious that there was no basis upon which any decision was being made, not in the White House, and certainly because of that, not in the Congress.

Well, I actually grew up in the sixties. I feel very lucky, actually, that that was my slice of time that I was dealt. Let's remember that the real motivation in the sixties, and even in the fifties, was the Cold War.

Amin is the shame of the whole world. The fact that he managed to rule so long and commit so many crimes was only possible thanks to the hypocrisy of the East and the West who were waging the Cold War for world domination.

World Poetry Day 2012 Poem: Corruption-eradication

Though cancer finds cures at times and
Cold wars abate when changes tides,
Hatred may transform to love but
The monster Corruption lives on!

Too ingrained in men's hearts, the vice
can change its forms and shapes with ease;
The roots are too widespread and deep;
Corruption defies erasure.

Whole lifetimes can't suffice to deal;
Fuelled by satan and legions,
It resists efforts to efface,
Remaining mother of vices!

Yet, good hearts can curb menace well;
A century of labour yields
A class of men when born anew
Who promise God to live straight lives.

What remains constant for me, during the last 15 years, has been the conviction that the cold war was a calamity for the entire world, and that it can be justified by no consideration of theory, nor by any supposed national interest.

From the time of independences until the end of the Cold War, in spite of the participation of a considerable number of African states in the non-aligned movement, everyone in fact chose to align with one or another of the two major blocks.

I wrote somewhere during the Cold War that I sometimes wish the Iron Curtain were much taller than it is, so that you could see whether the development of science with no communication was parallel on the two sides. In this case it certainly wasn't.

So I ask the nuclear powers to abandon the out-of-date thinking of the Cold War period and take a fresh look. Above all, I appeal to them to bear in mind the long-term threat that nuclear weapons pose to humankind and to begin action towards their elimination.

Strict Time

Theres a hand on a wire that leads to my mouth
I can hear you knocking but Im not coming out
Dont want to be a puppet or a ventriloquist
cause theres no ventilation on a critical list
Fingers creeping up my spine are not mine to resist
Strict time
Chorus:
Toughen up, toughen up
Keep your lip buttoned up
Strict time
Oh the muscles flex and the fingers curl
And a cold sweat breaks out on the sweater girl
Strict time
Oh hes all hands, dont touch that dial
The courting cold wars weekend witch trial
Strict time
All the boys are straight laced and the girls are frigid
The talk is two-faced and the rules are rigid cause its strict time
Strict time
Chorus

World At War

All hands on deck.
Were at the brink of another war.
May god save our soul.
For chaos will reign with the hot embers of a past fire.
A holocaust in a sick sense.
A massacre of millions and billions of men, women, and children.
The scale could be devastating.
Life as you know it is over.
No where to hide. isolationism is dead in the water.
We are being taken over and exploited in every way.
Our freedoms gone. slaves to the minimum wage.
Revolt and we all die.
Is this the reasons we sacrificed so many lives.
Forsaken by our own people.
Told that if we speak out against them we must be one of them those terrorist without even making a threat.
Oh what have we done?
Can you yet see the anger of regret.
This battle becomes a guerrilla war.
Every state out for itself.
A completely divided nation.

Radio Free Moscow

Tune into messages
From the eastern avenue.
Lock on to the ether ---
Squeeze the signal through and through.
War of the air-waves
Making scare-waves.
Im getting pictures
From my radio (free moscow).
Moscow radio.
Voice of america ---
Symbol of the free.
Mine of disinformation
Pleading sympathy.
Down in the cold-war games
Forever naming names.
Im getting pictures
From my radio (free moscow).
Keep getting pictures
From my radio (free moscow).
I put my headphones on ---

Into Homelessness

into homelessness

today suddenly I woke up from deadness
I was dead peacefully
All a beautiful death

My home -your home could only be this beautiful earth-
So I presumed I also reign high on this beautiful earth like you

When you leave to live
from one country to another country
You say
one home to another home

I thence also drew a border in my mind
When people say you are homeless and
I am into homelessness…into bigger home called the BIG EARTH.
And my heart turning in that pulse into another heart so BIG

Type-Writer Dreams

I walked down jazz alleys rolling cigarettes
and a head filled with typewriter dreams,
silently praying to sidewalk Gods
for the inhaling of coconut rum,
Chicago and Havana,
minds heavy with thoughts of steel and uranium
in the years before cold war, red missiles,
and the rusting sickle of Russian terror,
seeing dusty men gathered outside newspaper stands
waiting, plotting, in quiet conversations about bombs,
and in America, small bankers with obscene mustaches
fingering money with a capitalist fix, primarily out
of silk lined jackets of men who pretended to be middle class,
stuck in first like early model Cadillacs, but blooming
in the 60's like early spring lilacs, violent purple, pink,
and the blue of acid blotter fractal brothers and Grey's
later paintings of cross-sectioned life, where Jesus splayed out
examined in new eyes of a public embracing science and
the sub-atomic nuclear buzz, in the years before computers
and solitary confinement of plastic and lamplight, in the years

Is this the dark side of the story?

A wounded soldier walks with his gun towards the enemy area.
And he found an enemy wounded soldier with his gun
But no ammunition.
He cried in difficulty; 'Please do not shoot me adjutant as I am helpless.'
Then the other soldier said; 'We are friends now and no doubt about that
But tell me Sergeant where do we go without any hindrance? '

* Really there are no enemies among human beings, all are brother & sister soldiers against the cold war of life.
