Flower and Bird
Amongst the lonely branches of a tree,
Stood a lovely flower fragrant and free,
She was the sight of every passer-by,
'What a beautiful flower! ' people would cry.
The flower in the prime of its youth,
Couldn’t identify life and its real truth,
Proud by its fragrance and beauty it stood,
And thought that beauty was what made it good,
Impressed by its beauty a little bird would sing,
The tale of its love and the whole valley would ring,
Perched on the branch of the great oak tree,
The bird sings its love for the flower to see,
People would stop and look at this tale,
Of the beautiful lady and the gallant male.
And one day the bird let its heart out,
And the beautiful flower refused with pout,
The bird wanting its beloved’s heart,
Asked her, 'What do I do so that we don’t part? '
And the proud flower told the lonely bird,
'There is a flower down the valley, have you heard?

My Heart Is Home To The Birds
My heart is home to the birds
Because God made my heart for the birds
And I am happy that the birds live inside of my heart
Because my heart is always warm and the birds will never die inside my Heart or they will never have to fly south to the winter
Also the birds will always be safe inside of my heart
Because nobody will be able to harm the birds

When the birds fly
When the birds fly
the mind opens its eye
the heart looks up to the sky
the birds fly.
The birds fly south
the ear opens its mouth
the nose sees summer
the kids they are playing out...
When the birds fly
we dream our words dont die.
Reborn with a babys cry
the birds fly leaving stars
they stay in the night,
we are the birds
we escape to the light.

Little Bird Song
Theres a little bird
Somebody sent down to earth
To live along the wind
Blowing on the wind
And she sleeps on the wind
This little bird, somebody sent
Light and fragile
And feathered sky blue
Thin and graceful
The sun shining through
She flies so high up in the sky
Way out of reach of human eyes
Light and fragile
And feathered sky blue
Thin and graceful
The sun shining through
She flies so high up in the sky
Way out of reach of human eyes
Light and fragile
And feathered sky blue

Divine Bird
i would skp the best musical concert
to listen one more time to this morning bird
it makes me regret for not having been
a bird watcher and getting to know the name
of every bird and how every bird makes sure
they shine their best in voice rather than feathers
for feathers are just for a show of form but the
voice how well they have cultivated themselves
with the bountiful freedoms strewn below their wings
it was only two mornings ago, i first heard him
sing in among the many trees lining the boulevard
outside my condominium, the Crescent Court
the enchanting haunting notes of his song shocked
me into wondering whether it was really a bird that
sang those pristine notes, notes that seemed to have
streamed out of the sacred sanctum of God, so many
diverse notes, so well handled, they sounded
like a song written by the Divine for one special bird
one most holy entree to the dawn of a new day

Fun, Fun, Fun
Well she got her daddys car
And she cruised through the hamburger stand now
Seems she forgot all about the library
Like she told her old man now
And with the radio blasting
Goes cruising just as fast as she can now
And shell have fun fun fun
til her daddy takes the t-bird away
(fun fun fun til her daddy takes the t-bird away)
Well the girls cant stand her
cause she walks looks and drives like an ace now
(you walk like an ace now you walk like an ace)
She makes the indy 500 look like a roman chariot race now
(you look like an ace now you look like an ace)
A lotta guys try to catch her
But she leads them on a wild goose chase now
(you drive like an ace now you drive like an ace)
And shell have fun fun fun
til her daddy takes the t-bird away
(fun fun fun til her daddy takes the t-bird away)

Beautiful Betty
don't be a Beany
try just being a birdie
bevy not bleary
could be blistery
but have that
mystery
embrace the arms
of infinity
Delicious berry
beautiful Betty
not blandly but
somewhat
beefy
meaty spicy!

Caged
People began bidding for a confined bird on a ledge
A poor bird in a iron cage.
No one knows this birds age.
It was the pleasing color of sage.
The sea was in a constant rage.
Everyone was afraid of standing near the outside stage.
The bird went to the highest bidder for a high price.
The auctionor asked him what he was going to do with the bird?
The owner of the bird set it free.
So it could fly from tree to tree.

Exotic birdie an emblem of flirtation
Exotic birdie an emblem of flirtation,
'Burning' the love demands risk,
Fishing in Aquarium, there is no sense,
The falcon in the sky does not search rice,
Flight frightens parrot 'L..' _ jumps up Poultry...

Love Is Sweeping The Country
Why are people gay
All the night and day
Feeling as they never felt before
What is the thing
That makes them sing?
Rich man, poor man, thief
Doctor, lawyer, chief
Feel a feeling that they cant ignore
It plays a part in every heart
And every heart is shouting, encore
Love is sweeping the country,
Waves are hugging the shore,
All the sexes
From maine to texas
Have never known such love before!
See them billing and cooing
Like the birdies above
Each girl and boy alike
Sharing joy alike
Feels that passion ll

I wasn't originally taking drama, but the drama teacher asked me to audition for Bye, Bye Birdie. I did and got the lead role. Initially I was kind of scared, but once I did it I got bitten by the bug and loved it.

Free Bird
If I leave here tomorrow
Would you still remember me
For I must be traveling on now
Theres to many places I got to see
***chorus***
And if I stay here with you boy
Things just couldnt be the same
Cause Im as free as a bird now
And this bird you cannot change
And this bird you cannot change
And this bird you cannot change
Lord knows I cannot change
Bye-bye baby its been a sweet love
Oh this feeling I cannot change
Please dont take it so badly
Lord knows that Im to blame
***chorus***
And if I stay here with you boy
Things just couldnt be the same
Im as free as a bird now

And This Shall Be For Music
I will make you brooches and topys for your delight of birdsong at morning and starshine at night And I will make a palace that's fit for you and me, of green days in the forest and blue days at sea. And this shall be for music when no one else is near< Such a fine song for singing, the rare so ng to hear! That only I remember, that only you admire, of the broad road that streches and the roadside fire. And this shall be for music. And this shall be for song. Brooches and toys for your delight, Birdsong at moring and starshine at night. And this shall be for music when no one else is near such a fine song for singing a rare song to hear. That only I remember, that only you admire. And this shall be, and this shall be, And this shall be for music, music, music!

Coney Island
Coming down from downpatrick
Stopping off at st. johns point
Out all day birdwatching
And the craic was good
Stopped off at strangford lough
Early in the morning
Drove through shrigley taking pictures
And on to killyleagh
Stopped off for sunday papers at the
Lecale district, just before coney island
On and on, over the hill to ardglass
In the jamjar, autumn sunshine, magnificent
And all shining through
Stop off at ardglass for a couple of jars of
Mussels and some potted herrings in case
We get famished before dinner
On and on, over the hill and the craic is good
Heading towards coney island
I look at the side of your face as the sunlight comes
Streaming through the window in the autumn sunshine

Little Birds
Little Birds are dining
Warily and well,
Hid in mossy cell:
Hid, I say, by waiters
Gorgeous in their gaiters -
I've a Tale to tell.
Little Birds are feeding
Justices with jam,
Rich in frizzled ham:
Rich, I say, in oysters

Dance of Birds
Drum of birds is on shore
Dance of parrots is on shore
Men are fishing in river
Drum of birds is on shore
Dance of parrots is on shore
Women are fetching water in river
Small birds perch on weeds to watch dance
Big birds perch on reeds to watch dance
Men and women stand to watch dance of birds

Sky And Water
Birds fly in the sky,
Below the fishes
Swim in the big flat sea.
A bird
Jumps into the water,
Head down, aiming
To catch a fish.
Deeper,
A fish, as it swims up
Toward the surface,
Catches the birds.
As the fish jumps into the air,
A bird catches the fish.
Fishes are birds,
Only water is not like
The air.
