On My Way To Oz
The round green hill tops of Kansas call to me...
There is a kind of insanity in the grasses this day-
As the plain winds gust with no particular destination...
The lakes become a broken grey-rippled with waves;
All of the insects hold on for dear life...
To the bending stems and new poppy blossoms...
Crickets and grasshoppers give way finally to vertigo;
The Kansas Sun is trying to peek out...
From behind a fluffy cumulus cloud---
A few raindrops begin to fall and a Rainbow is formed-
Arched-to the West...
Informing me that i am not that far away from OZ;

Burdens Eased
Carrying the broad shoulders of the world---
This afternoon reveals the tirades of rain...
In absolute wonder of the mysteries borne...
In awe of the unknowns and its cutting pain;
Raging 'tis the thunder and lightening spurned...
Circling in eternal winds that will not pass...
Even insects run for cover-removed from continual hover--
Hidden neatly 'neath the green blades O' grass;
These shoulders are oft' overwhelmingly heavy-
But as sisters of this Mother Earthed clan--
We are able to find enough grace-in this weighted place--
Mended with haloes of love we forever stand! ;

Purple Flowers-No Insolent Blooms
Believing that the day has taken leave of its senses--
A delay-or so they say--
Was always in the plan;
And so as the rain
Pours itself in sheets of regret...
I give praise where i can;
Each dropp of complete rain
Is sheer beauty-absolute in the day-
As the purple flowers learn and take heed
In degrees-carefully
Asleep, the Peony dreams of floral display;
Rushing the winds of Spring-i agree---
Flourishing growth beyond the pale...
Blossoming petals most supreme
Opening in time...
Blazing as fireflies in
The green earthed vale
Completing Spring Gardens Poetic Rhyme;

Crone
The ancients tremble in anticipation
E'er wakeful to her gateways of fire
Restless winds of time surely could devour them
Will she be swallowed up in jealousy's mire?
Vunerable but n'er oft' defeated
Assembled in Rainbows mountain of Doom
Spirits e'er weary of her mastery
Dancers of light embrace the moon;
Madness surely shall contnue to replensih?
The old crones withered memory?
Failing to attain the truth from her brains file cabinent
Fragments of her reality perhaps n'er to be...
A Belated Halloween Poem
Dedicated to: An Old Friend?
FromJunior High School
Her memory of me...and reality...

Amber Mist
An imigrant of Dawn, i rise-
I search the roses and trees for thee-
Comes Spring and Summer joy of Love-
Where warmer shadows hide the last freeze...
A sanctuary of green paints itself free-
Comes the dusks past twilight all-
The brick wall with Autumns climbing ivy-
With two mysteries remaining-
The Amber Mist and Black Rose Of Fall...
Answers are not forthcoming-
Insidious and hidden in times past-
The seasons of blustering winds comes calling-
All leaves from the trees are cast...
Succumbing in days to the chill-
The Amber Mist and Black Rose decay-
Irrevelant now in this day and time-
For Winter White has gotten his way...

Where Darkness Grows
First thy Tempest impaled thine body
And sliced thy most angry brow
Shard's of glass created blown crystal
And Bitter Winds chastise each vow
Unprincipled Deciple of Circumstance
Purveryor of Broken Bleak Dreams
Covetous by the legion's of Prodigal's
Denatured are thy slicing of screams
Enabler of thy diabolical
Cutting curt and obscene
Crusified and nailed bleeding
In realms that only thine deem
Proclaimer of all that 'tis decadent
Where Weeping Willows faintly grow
Your Tempest 'tis thy Shadow forever
Where they river Styx eternal doth flows

Dancing? ? ?
Your music 'tis filled with rubatos-
A slow dance gone very wrong-
Surrounded by my guardian angels-
With Gods forgiveness, i sing His Psalms.
His light shining brightly-
His leading of my way-
On the straight and narrow path-
Where Gods children play.
Rumors gone wild for three decades-
Laced with treacherous adjectives-
Believe none of what you hear-
And only a fourth of what you see.
Lost in your music as always-
I am afraid i just cannot follow-
Your tempo 'tis too dark and unforgiving-
A slow dance that is much too hollow.

Holy Week
Dancing in the winds of Spring-
Golden coils of blessings appear...
Dappled in for-get-me-nots so blue...
And caressed by my many tears;
Mystic Rainbows still enchant and ease-
In a kalidascope of multi- coloured hues...
The Sea Of Galilees coral reefs and Godly beliefs...
Paint for all of us a much clearer view;
The men who have torn us assunder...
Go against The Spirits Holy Word...
They shall not prevail but surely shall fail...
Assured in Sermons upon the Mount clearly heard;
Good Friday still makes me weep...
As His suffering was way beyond the pale...
But the celebration of His ascension on Easter Sunday...
Eases some of my deepest travails;

Into Gods Favor?
Once on the verge of deepest black...
The very early morn 'tis nigh-
Yet hidden in the darkness deep...
Are all of their nefarious lies;
Cabals of the most decadent form...
Are spurned by the winds of change...
Lace slippers of the One In Charge...
Now lie in their shadows most strange;
Their footprints oft' belie...
The stealth of vagrants creep...
Warning to the innocents...! ! !
Once made victims while asleep;
For the Spirit of Our Loving God-
Shines a light most brillant bright-
And brings to view-all that 'tis new...! ! !
Into our now clear made sight;

Conundrum
I was sandwiched in between days of Fall...
While the Worlds classroom learned...
Covered in a pile of rotten leaves-uninciteful! ! !
Soon to be placed in a bonfire to burn;
Helpless-so-utterly-helpless-i screamed...!
Though the brisk Northern wind drowned me out...
Caught in a most distressing circumstance...
And filled to the crisp with doubt;
Around me the self-blazing Mums continued to grow-
Why-they just seemed to October thrive!
But i was helplessley sanwiched between Fall days...
With each hour-feeling less alive;
Fearful of the bonfire soon to be set...!
And the not too far off Winter cold...
I prayed to the Light to help in my fight...
And for release into the Sweet Autumns Gold;

~The End Of Love~
When did you know?
Did your temperature drop?
Heart beat slow down?
Eyes burn at looking at me?
Was it a single moment?
A special place in time
When you felt the spark
Go out?
When you knew
The death of our love
Was imminent
Did you
Even try to fan the flames?
Blow on the dying embers?
Throw caution to the wind?
What happened to our June
Turned instant September?

I Recall..
Today, i recall you all
Across the winds born of yesterday
Over moments spent in growth and change
You, a breath-taking memory of my youth;
What are you all, but the heartbeat of my childhood?
When days lingered, it seemed, longer than forever-
When the Seattle rains caressed our nubile skin...
And the not too frequent sunlight graced our summering shoulders;
You are the Rose Garden of my growing years
And the fragrance of joy misting itself through Washington State air
The play times of hide and seek and tag; Of Christmas and Easter Egg hunts through recollections of sheer joy;
Today, i recall all of you...
In truth, you never left my heart or mind, ever! ! !
As friends, God parents, and Blessed Gifts
Who disappeared off of my horizons way too soon;
You are as engraved heartprints

Poems Of The Heart (Their Origin)
Did you perhaps attend my Springtime class?
Participating flushed and imbued from past silences?
Or are you in the mountains now?
Masked in the rocky crags of camouflage?
Will i find you brisk as the Winter wind?
Or will you be still as the first leaf of Fall upon the sod?
And what of your eyes-are they still filled with Summer intent?
With perhaps the beginnings of your first poem?
Are you at last out from the shadows that once spoiled you?
Or are your ears now filled with the music of rhyme?
And your breaths-are they the reason for the seasons?
What of your purpose-is it now defined by rhyme so sublime?
Has it at last arrived in your heart?
Where all poems have been born throughout time.

Verdicts~
Voices of truth always take notes
While judgements embrace their release
Mysteries of unknown origins
Move in this labyrinth, never to cease;
Margins of grey area's meet in the middle
Much as strangers of an unreal dream
Running naked with reckless abandon
Witnesses celebrate the fabric of life's torn seams;
A jury of peers comes back with a verdict:
It was a guiltless collision of minds
Set free to dance again, with the wind
Free-the unfathomed harbingers of crime! ;

Lost
It was a restless wind that took her
In ever wakeful gales blowing
Blanketed by swollen clouds of rain-building
And an angry thunder ever growing;
Unfolding in perfectly stitched sheets pelting
Embroidered in the lightenings porcelain flash
A tempest entwined in threads of past emotions static
With no salvation-came the unforgiving Thunders crash;
Alas, no survivors of this storm
Lost in the mystery of the unknown Deep
No reprieve-no illusions tossed
'Neath fathoms-came the endless sleep;

Snow Birds
A cistern of bitter dreams came calling
Contained in a liquid misery from the Niagra snow
Not melted naturally by the suns teeming rays
Blanketing me from the swift wind that blows;
Duplicitous Winter-Action-their theme
Greed-their morsel-and their seed
Meeting over hot coffee Klatches barefoot
Where sociopaths of pure evil breed;
Today-broken and estranged from our offspring!
Whom do we thank-in the end?
Answer is it-the snowblind-snowbird co-conspirators?
Or the Sparrows at Wedgemere Bend?

Bedroom PIcture
I saw you at the shore...!
Your barefeet were seaweed bound--
Pants rolled up to your ankles--
While the sun-was pounding down;
Driftwood and sand dollar tokens strewn...
Admidst a love tragedy...
Sands white grains defined you...
And your impossibility! ;
You with your 'Birds Eye View'...!
Upon someones kitchen of lament...! !
The wind offers you echo ears...
But be sure-its not heaven sent! ;
Invasion of our privacy--
Through sight and through sound...
Will be swallowed up by the Deep!
And by the seaweed you are forever bound;

A Long Standing Circle Of Inheritance Theft
Back handed hints-oh how they now abound...
Just rollin' on in with the tornadic wind...
Tossed about-with most tremendous clout...! ! !
Back to where it had once been! ! ! ;
Boomerangs of 'injustice' over time continue...
As the dominos now fall where they may...!
Shimmer-glimmer-highlights all of your faces-
We are counting each player this day! ;
Something that none of you had counted on...!
So brazen-so corrupt-and oft' so cruel...
This is what happens to all bad guys and sinners...
Who live life ignoring: 'The Golden Rule';

Winter Rose
Outcast of the Winter wind
A Rose fights for life and lingers on
But a bitter chill-has cast it's fill
And most of the gardens Roses are gone;
But there 'tis one that remains
With a spirit-fighting to the very end
A Rose amongst the snows of time
Embraces the warm of love you send;
So, if you should find yourself missing me
Just look out at the Garden Of Stone
And in the chill of a Winters unforgiving fill
A single Rose stands all alone;
That would be me-waiting still
For the spirit of your warm aura e'er true
Fighting this iced chill-but with a mighty will
This single Rose 'tis waiting for you;

Last Hello
There was no warm hello from the get go-
I felt the chill of your shoulder...
Over the yawn of the telephone receiver...
It was as fleeting as a wisp of North Wind!
Catching me by surprise-my breath shortened...
A hard cold reality to swallow...
Rebelling at the lump in my throat--
From your gung-ho attitude like Venus and Cupid...
Dancing the Tango under a Harvest Moon...
To a nip in the air 'cross your shoulder;
I knew...
Beyond a shadow...
Of any doubt...
By your yawn echoing...
And your hurried voice---
Your real time scurry to say goodbye...
That this would be--
Our last hello;
