A Naughty Little Comet
There was a little comet who lived near the Milky Way!
She loved to wander out at night and jump about and play.
The mother of the comet was a very good old star;
She used to scold her reckless child for venturing out too far.
She told her of the ogre, Sun, who loved on stars to sup,
And who asked no better pastime than in gobbling comets up.
But instead of growing cautious and of showing proper fear,
The foolish little comet edged up nearer, and more near.
She switched her saucy tail along right where the Sun could see,
And flirted with old Mars, and was as bold as bold could be.
She laughed to scorn the quiet stars who never frisked about;
She said there was no fun in life unless you ventured out.
She liked to make the planets stare, and wished no better mirth
Than just to see the telescopes aimed at her from the Earth.

Turning Into Something Wild
Key:-
A - anita
R - ray
A: tuning into something wild
A: like a comet from space
Like a slap in the face
You can feel it coming
Like a push in the back
Turning white into black
Youre feeling something wild now!
A: youre feeling something wild now!
R: hey precious, hey burning child
Time to tune to something wild
Its new, its hot, its all youre not
Dont turn back, its all weve got
Youre breathless, youre out of step
Time to learn just what is hip
If you think youre in a jumble
Thats the way the cookie crumbles
A: tuning into something wild

Collision
Space, made of the pulsing endless vastness of the human imagination
Stars glow, comets fly, rocks drift all of this is silent as it happens in each galaxy
Quite soundless work taking it’s time
Everything must be perfect, efficient
When something foreign or new touches this space all of the workers
Must now create harmony and must accommodate the friend or intruder
If this foreign friend feels right like it must belong space will keep it
If it is an intruder planning to destroy comets fly to battle and attack
The white comets must protect its red rocks and absent sun
Then one faithful day space began to pulse faster as a foreign
Friend came into contact
The friend felt warm, soft, new, and inviting
It was another galaxy
It began pulsing as they became closer and closer
We fly away from these pink and red galaxies into the bodies of two people
Then further and further until we see them begin their new journey
A touch
A kiss
In the night
As the stars glow, comets fly, and rocks drift soundlessly and forever

Shiny Star
I look upon the sky
In search of a star
I see comets fly
And stars shine
Oh shiny star
Shiny star that is so far
I wish my life
Shined as bright as you
I glance upon the starry sky
In awe of the shiny star
While the comet flies
And that star shines luminously
Oh shiny star
Shiny star that is so far
If only my life
Shined as bright as you

Wonderful or supernatural events are not so uncommon, rather they are irregular in their incidence. Thus there may be not one marvel to speak of in a century, and then often enough comes a plentiful crop of them; monsters of all sorts swarm suddenly upon the earth, comets blaze in the sky, eclipses frighten nature, meteors fall in rain, while mermaids and sirens beguile, and sea-serpents engulf every passing ship, and terrible cataclysms beset humanity.

The Last Farewell
Last night we kissed hands goodbye,
never dreaming that it was forever.
Unsuspecting that you, my dear child,
soon would lie cold and still neath the heather.
The graceless Sun thoughtlessly shines
I would eclipse it forever.
The death I prepared for was mine,
but God twists the knife and is clever.
First your sister, thirteen summers ago
Then, soon after, I lost your dear Mother.
Now you, daughter- taken from me.
There's no chance this old man can recover.
The comet that shone at my birth
Will soon light its way through the heavens
I beg that it bears me away-
lets me stop being Samuel Clemmens.

St. Judy's Comet
Little sleepy boy
Do you know what time it is?
Well the hour of your bedtime's
Long been past
And though i know you're fighting it
I can tell when you rub your eyes
You're fading fast
Fading fast
Won't you run come see st. judy's comet
Roll across the skies
And leave a spray of diamonds
In its wake
I long to see st. judy's comet
Sparkle in your eyes
When you awake
Little boy
Won't you lay your body down
Little boy
Won't you close your weary eyes
Ain't nothing flashing but the fireflies

Starry Sky
Stars in the sky
Twinkles up above
You fall from the heavens
Silvery comets
Darting across
The wondrously
Magnificent
Starry Sky

St. Judy's Comet
Words & music by paul simon
Oo, little sleepy boy
Do you know what time it is?
Well the hour of your bedtime's winding past
And though i know you're fighting it
I can tell when you rub your eyes
You're fading fast, oh fading fast
Won't you run come see st. judy's comet
Roll across the skies
And leave a spray of diamonds in its wake
I long to see st. judy's comet
Sparkle in your eyes when you awake
Oh, when you wake, wake
Little boy
Won't you lay your body down
Little boy
Won't you close your weary eyes
Ain't nothing flashing but the fireflies
Well i sang it once and i sang it twice
I'm going to sing it three times more

Sensual pleasures have the fleeting brilliance of a comet; a happy marriage has the tranquillity of a lovely sunset.

I'm Your Planet
Bright
Beautiful star
Now
I am your planet
Dust and fire
An oozing comet
Revolving
Around you
In close and distant
Orbits.

Softly Singing
He names the songs he sings,
When liking is not loathing, and the breath
Falls like an enigma called a comet;
A ray of light hangs in the distance, facing us.
Meeting eye to eye is an endeavour,
Worthwhile is the exploitation,
Dwelt in sorrow and esteem, just another sign.
Maybe thoughts gather creation
Forming wisely, gained by the created beings.
How expensive you feel in this splendour!
How does the comet soar in your mouth
When you sing softly to yourself
And brandish the sword so won?

God of Misery
Misery and disease marry the soil and vegetable,
Many finds result from soil and garden, worms and snails,
That result, that deploy their forces armed in ways known to man.
I shall work again, cultivate the garden as a curtain is folded neatly,
The culture has a crowning achievement.
Grotesque and ugly, watchers of the night sky raise their anger
At the old comets and asteroids hitting the world as danger.
Grinding, depriving and dissolving the diseased soil,
Many old comets design danger, making use of the soil
By hitting too fast, and last of all the planet is hurt.
Misery is actually too powerful a danger,
That meteors are faster every year,
In a fit of rage is the god of asteroids.

After the Comet
Ad-ma was a techno, and he worked for Magno Rep.,
Logging vagaries of asteroids, their orbits, speed and depth,
On the eastern shore of Atalan, his villa on the shore
He would plot triangulations, mapping comets by the score,
But his brow was creased with worry,
And his eyes were ringed with black,
For he hadn't slept these many nights
Since Agnar Kor's attack,
It had suddenly appeared from outer
Space that gave it birth,
And the dark and dread conclusion was
It would collide with earth.
It was known as an erratic, potent wanderer through space,
But its orbit wasn't constant, it had been quite hard to trace,
For a week or more it could be seen, quite naked to the eye,
With its tail like whirling serpents lighting up the evening sky,
While at Ba-ha-ma the experts
Had been working on the core,
Of the huge magnetic pulser that
