Childless Individual

It is difficult to lead life as childless individual
There is nothing as such that you can’t treat it as casual
Yet there is need for it and felt severely sometimes
You are cursed and criticized sometimes as if have committed crimes

Majority of the people still think it as curse
Life is meaningless, hollow and nothing else
We are here on earth to produce the children
Die or depart from the face of earth when comes turn

Even if that point is disregarded for a moment
Still there remains vacuum to be filled and resent
After all children are means to lead life for future
Stay here, make it comfortable and assure

Some of the features are performed as a routine
Life will have to be made colorful and fine
If garden is not looked after well and taken care
It may bear deserted look and simply look bare

Indian Poets

Look before and beyond
Twin Towers
Weary webs waste vision
Work on mission.

Much blood has blown
Under the bridge of peace
Human bones are its pillars
Constructed by the body
It leads between hell and heaven
Poets will write a verse
On the architect of it
Wow with their rhyme and wit.

Unforgettable 1947
Guru Ram and Rahim
Moved in heaven
As their followers
Chopped into pieces
Scattered across borders

Nothing In Our Arsenal

Justice delayed is justice denied
Often said in open but never tried
Every one uses it in its own gain
Only poor suffer and under go the pain

Only but civilized society is to be blamed
They don't come out in open and ideology shared
They conduct seminars and offer lectures
Ideas never float and thus block the future

Votes are sold in open and they don't venture out
Stay at home with family and only talk about
Every body wants to be millionaire overnight
Democracy has become lame and lacks will power to fight

Forget about legal systems in any country
It can't be left to the domain of anybody
People should have to take care
Properly address the system and nurture

Well wishers

Tell me O, friends, lovers or well wishers
Where should I sing heartily and finish?
All those verses and hymns produced in mind
Not that much worth to create appeal for blind

I wish to sing among poor and destitute
People will mind if I am found among prostitutes
I will be called fame hungry if make base in institute
Can you suggest me a place where it can really suit?

Songs and short poems are not worth to be called
Many a times my move has been stalled
I fear about back lash and strong criticism
Even though it has something to speak about humanism

I paint poor man’s plight and hunger
People frown at me with anger
“I am inciting their feelings” they say and oppose
I sit back and think for proper words to choose

New dimension

I fully agree with discarding the "ism"
Not disregarding totally their "ism"
As it has remained age old tradition
To confine with one and only condition

We are no authority to malign
Not to force any one to align
Wrap up in our thoughts
Some of the lessons forcibly taught

Let individual sticks to his own belief
Trust and profess that gives him relief
For worldly worries and tension
So it will be worthless for anything to mention

Yes nationalism has something greater role
Unity is must among population for honest call
To Breath for universal love and to profess
The kind of "ism" that has not been heard on surface

A Tryst with the Terrorist

The Prologue

'The terrorist began to speak...'
'How can a terrorist talk
When his only words are bombs? '
'Well, he did speak all the same...
In my haunted dreams, of course:

The Monologue

Does a lion dialogue with his prey?
He just charges and strikes his quarry.
Why should I tarry?
I'd simply finish off
Anyone whose face I detest.
I should be the master
Of all I survey.

The universe is for man alone
Strongest of them only reign here

Rise of nationalism

I witness the rise of nationalism
Sometimes it is mixed with regionalism
Far cry is heard for rights violation and humanism
If I sincerely admit then it lacks proper mechanism

How does it vitiate international understanding?
Compromise of principles and unholy bonding
War crime perpetuators are give patronage
All sorts of encouragement is given to increase the bondage

How come we fail to hear the cry of Afrikaners?
How are they killing their own brethren as sinners?
We merely watch the butcher’s game and mutely observe
We have only weapons but no food and medicines to serve

Let the religious sentiments be buried under the earth belt
Its necessacity in life is must and very much felt
No one can claim purity on the ground of religious supremacy
We have only two hands to rise for blessings and mercy

Buried and unclaimed

Buried and unclaimed

Thousands are buried here unclaimed
Victims of brutality, abused and shamed
None to be found by ignorant world
Buried in dead silence and early morning cold

Who they might be and what may be their fault?
Might be trapped in between gun fire and caught?
Might be even singled out as informer and gunned down
But surely no heinous crime committed by them of their own

Dictatorial regimes resorted to such tactics for silencing rivals
They are afraid of loosing powers on rival’s arrival
Fierce battle is fought in streets and many are killed
The earth is shaken as coffers are silently filled

There is lawlessness and anarchism
There is no place for human and humanism
No one is there to hear your cry

Dina-my limited world

I have my own limited world
I live with happiness in small fold
“Dina” is no longer any stranger
She has taken away all my anger

She will bring bundle of love
In form of flower and simply observe
She speaks no word but shy away
I see in her real reflection and way

I really have no idea how to go along
I fear I may go sometimes wrong
I murmur in night with only one name
Dina where are and how you came?

Dina is on wall and clouds carry her impression
I watch it with intense obsession
She has made me to sink
I watch sky without any wink

A Time To Feel Forlorn and Reconstruct What's Torn

There's a designated time in the universe for everything:

A time to limit, a time to expand.
A time to rise, time to lower and lend a hand.

A time to maintain, a time to abandon.
A time to develop, a time to rest at random.

A time to communicate, a time for silence.
A time to kiss your enemy, a time to concede wins.

A time to spite, a time to please.
A time for respite, a time to tease.

A time to process, a time to confess.
A time to do more. A time to do less.

A time to dominate. A time to captivate.
A time to plunge. A time to resurface straight.

Lines To Observe

I refused to yield to pressure
Even though I had nothing precious with me as treasure
It did hurt my sentiments to break me from within
They could never come to know how much depressed I had been

If I was told to leave place at once I could gladly do
If it was last option I could have agreed even if untrue
But why would they insist on me falling in their lines?
How can they pressurize me when I completely declined?

I would never leave my faith if that causes any embarrassment
If they want to have forcible conversion then it is their movement
I will cling to that path from where inspiration and strength is drawn
I shall disown any belief that has been forced upon

If we come out from our stated lines to observe
We may come across many tales of messiahs who descended on earth to serve
Laid down their lives for upholding the faith and true causes
So many citations can be had from many prophets as it was

New lease of life

It is almighty alone who can infuse new lease of life
No preaching of violence even if cut throat competition with knife
He is lone judge to ascertain our actions and guide
We got to believe in him and honestly confide

The love and kindness may be slowly pulsated
The course of action may be justified and related
The words are truly defined and put to use
We are not allowed to rouse passion or misuse

What can we do as sensible persons on our part?
We must keep some space some where in kind heart
This is real breathe taking exercise and art
We can only understand partially and start

We have gained no such divine power
We still have to live on earth and not in high rise tower
We have no magic power to ruin or destroy anything
We are perishable and can do no harm or good for something

The Pope in US

(A poetic gist by Dr John Celes, India)

A historical moment for the world;
Pope 265 set foot on US soil;
Pope Benedict XVI was his name
The Apostle of peace and human rights;

He planned his itinerary with shrewdness;
He touched upon all themes that plague the world;
He brought the only hope to US- Christ;
‘With faith, let’s encounter the living God.’

He timed his visit when he thought most fit;
‘Humanism must be revived quickly.’
Modern world dabbled with key issues now.
The foundation of faith was in doldrums.

The heart of man could not be won by war;
For lasting peace, dialogue was needed;
He left his mark, indelible behind;

Help me out

“Hello, you come here and help me out”
I felt it as rude shock and simply thought about
Is it arrogance in us or no curtsey at all?
I take it as strange and untimely call

Some one called me one eyes man and shouted
All civil norms were pushed out and flouted
The defeated soldiers feel humiliation when routed
I failed to understand why all such things to be stated

So many times I have been consoled on such matters
Even though it does not affect subject or alter
But it hurts from inside why all such unnecessary words?
When there is no need for it and look backward?

Someone advised no to say “die” even if some is in last stage
He may be facing death due to sickness or old age
Still some good words are expected when you visit his bed side
Even though it varies from person to person conceptually very wide

An open criticism

I hated most to be called lazy
I keep my self engaged and remain busy
It is funny and very easy
To create flutter and make it noisy

We tend to become idle and relax so much
When not seized with problems as such
It is day to day affairs and must be tackled properly
It is appreciated very much when put across wisely

It is good sign to remain always active
It is equally bad sign if you expose as reactive
People may count you as hostile and immature
It may block your chances and make you insecure

It is not right on our part to offer arguments at criticism
It is known lacuna and allowed in humanism
We simply offer advice or comments without being asked for
It simply creates distrust and situation like mini war

With all the sympathy

A person is called saint if he has kindness with all the sympathy
He can claim then only as direct descendent of almighty
Or Messiah, messenger or for that respect an angel
At every inch you must look ordinary but with different angle

I have known or heard about many of such figures
They have worked for the humanity and reassured
About the human misery and risk involved for apathy
What work is to be taken up or followed to gain His sympathy?

Each work is evaluated and appreciated by God
Many might have lost favor as their soul stands sold
They are burden and living animal on earth
At each stage they live on but with the fear of death

To work under such difficult situation is Herculean task
No one may opt for it or readily go and ask
Some of the great souls are easily picked on earth
God has always created such situation without any dearth

As per His wishes

Think of millions who are left with no food
Just little thought of those uncared for and not good
Sleeping under open sky for want of shelter
No proper amenities and no drinking water

Think of those who are made destitute and poor
No sympathy, no blessings and shutting of door
No God for them in divine places and no care
No direction and little idea about going somewhere

World is sitting of volcano with unequal distribution
Some where plenty and some where total starvation
Some where total upliftment with all facilities
Some where nothing in name with no possibilities

No account for how many may be dying everyday
Under nourished and not finding any suitable way
Unrest and uprising with wanton killings and rapes
Humanity on shame with ugly scene and slaps

A Blood Relation

They argue it as syndrome of blood relation
Is it matter of convenience or though elevation?
It is not difficult to understand in simple context
We let it pass of ignorantly as mere pretext

There is definite push and pull mechanism
It is equally good to have bond in humanism
It least somewhere we show some kind of attachment
There is long list of hierachy and goes on as movement

There is restriction at each and every level
It goes on and to develop and exceedingly marvel
How loosely we remain to be connected in sphere
It is always peaceful, harmonious and I healthy atmosphere

How parents rear their children in responsible manner
They may grow in full adulthood later or sooner
There is complete love in the eyes of every member
Proper care is taken in all the aspects and closely remembered

All ills

We had heard about racial discrimination and abuses
We were claiming tall but had to admit and could not refuse
The world is fast coming out of ethnic cleansing
How much more time we may need for real cleaning?

It ails society and countries on large scale
We have not come in terms and really failed
Our eyes still refuses to accept green
Before this such scenario never had been

Black and whites have fought for centuries and cursed
They wounds have been aggravated further and still not nurtured
Dark skin has some what not been hated most but the nations
Have remained at war for decades and strained the relations

What did the apartheid literally do other than to create hatred?
Where were the real feelings for country to stand united and lead?
Centuries of old relation evaporated in faction of seconds
Blood hungry rivals fought over for nothing but only diamonds

Joint family

Joint family culture now days not found
It was ideal and was placed very sound
It has made long full circle and round
Now it has disappeared and lost ground

Is it losing its original charm and magic?
They used to provide good humor and comic
There is no immediate solution and remedy
Family remains in tension without any comedy

The economic burden is taking heavy toll
Old people find it very difficult to stroll
Limited space and mobility makes them venerable
They feel neglected and lead the life miserable

How much trouble parents face for bringing their children?
Without kids their life seems sultry and barren
Parents still go for all out efforts to over come
All difficulties they bear with happy face and welcome
