Animal

I look out over this dusty ridge ~~ I look around me and wonder why I am alone all the time ~~ Even though I know I am not ~~ Wondering why I feel this way ~~ I feel as if a animal is tearing me apart on the inside ~~ I want to say something about the feeling of claws ripping though my chest ~~ I feel the wind pick up ~~ I notice the clouds ~~ I want the hurt in my chest to stop ~~ I look down into the valley of this place ~~ Knowing I am so far up, making the trees look like ants ~~ It starts to rain, as it rains I start to cry ~~ All I want to know is what happened ~~ Why won’t you let me know you after all this ~~I am soaked to the bone ~~ It is a cool rain ~~ The animal is still clawing me apart on the inside ~~ I tell myself that I can do something about it ~~ The more I start to realize what I can do to fix this ~~ The more the hurt stops, the animal stops for now ~~ My knee’s fall to the ground with a heavy thud ~~ The animal starts to pace ~~ I see the mixture of rain and mud clouds from it ~~ Then as more happens, as I try to fix it ~~ All it does is make the animal return ~~ The memories return ~~ My heart starts racing ~~ The animal is more fierce then before ~~ The hurt returns, along with all the heart ache ~~ The rest of my body grows weak as it start’s clawing in my chest ~~ My body falls the rest of the way to the ground with another heavy thud ~~More mud and dust clouds raise up ~~ The animal claws are like razors in my chest ~~ My face is now laying upon the mixture of mud and dust ~~ My limbs go numb ~~ I can hear the animal’s roaring in my ears ~~ I can feel my eyes slip shut ~~ I can’t see anything but black ~~ I know it won’t be long before I let the animal have it’s way ~~ All I wanted to do is know you ~~ I can feel the animal starting at my heart ~~ The animal starts to clam as I take my last breath of life ~~ Then I know is it all over, and I’m gone ~~ There is finally peace ~~

Not Here to Beat the Beast

I am not here to beat the beast.
Nor did I come,
To sneak a sniff of its presence.
Not to cower kneeling in defeat.
To please rumors of a haunting...
Suffered without investigation.

That beast has been feasting,
Long before I arrived.
And I'm sure...
If it knows you are here in fear,
It will not suspect
I have desires to follow in its footsteps!
Wherever it has been claimed to be.

But I am curious,
Why you have allowed it to eat
From your peace that decreases.
While you complain...
Little of your gains are left!

We Are All Captured Beasts

We are all captured beasts,
And we howl - as we might.
We can't open the doors,
For the doors are locked tight.

If our hearts can remember tradition,
When our barking brings solace, we bark.
We don't know. Long ago we've forgotten
That it stinks badly in this zoo-park.

For our hearts can accept repetition;
Bored and weary, we cuckoo our song.
For the zoo is impersonal, habitual;
We've not longed to be free for so long.

We are all captured beasts,
And we howl - as we might.
We can't open the doors,
For the doors are locked tight.

Karl Marx

The human being is in the most literal sense a political animal, not merely a gregarious animal, but an animal which can individuate itself only in the midst of society.

Zombie Zoo

Tom petty
All down the street they're standin in line
With white lipstick and one thing on their mind
Hey little freak with the lunch pail purse
Underneath the paint you're just a little girl
Dancin at the zombie zoo, dancin at the zombie zoo
Painted in a corner and all you wanna do
Is dance down at the zombie zoo
Cute little dropout, how come you pack a rod?
Is your mother in a clinic? has your father got no job?
Sometimes you're so impulsive you shaved off all your hair
You look like boris karloff and you don't even care
You're dancin at the zombie zoo dancin at the zombie zoo
She disappears at sunrise, i wonder where she goes until
The night comes fallin down again she shows
Up with her friends half-alive
You can make a big impression or go through life unseen
You might wind up restricted and over seventeen
It's so hard to be careful, so easy to be led
Somewhere beyond the pavement you'll find the living dead

Animals

Lie down and close your eyes
Hey now, hey now, hey now, hey
You may be in for a little suprise
Hey now, hey now, hey now, hey
(? ? ? over here something moving on the floor here)
Hey now, hey now, hey now, hey
Something wild with a mind of its own
Hey now, hey now, hey now, hey
Scamper about like little tiny beasts
Looking for a house
(or maybe just a hole
And complain to the mouse)
Baby baby dont cry
Scamper all around way up in a tree
So far from the ground
Where theyll never catch me
(? ? ? ) through my brain
Baby baby dont cry
Theyre part of the scheme
Nature always is

Beast Of Codden Moor

fear rides the beast of codden moor
the men are hunting the beast of
codden moor

it run, s as fast as legs will carry
it, s breath steam, s on air so crisp
it, s heart beats a tempo of it, s own
faster faster faster faster faster
you beast of codden moor

but men ride horse, s fast as wind
to catch a beast on codden moor
that falls and tumbles through the snow
upon codden moor

it raises a head of strengh and beauty
a horn of bone lies within the head
of a beast of codden moor

death comes quick as spears stab down

The animal in me

Is it legal for me
To call myself an animal?
Whilst human is what I try to be

For the animal in me
Is transparent to see
If I get scared I plea or flee

Sometimes I show bravery like a lion
With nerves of steel made of iron

Sometimes I give off a scent
In the heat of the moment

As a woman I have my season
When you can capture me on the heat
Till today, I do not understand the reason
Why I hunt then, like an animal hunting for its meat

The animal in me is confused

Lion

The lion is called the king
Of beasts. Nowadays there are
Almost as many lions
In cages as out of them.
If offered a crown, refuse.

Animals in Clothes

Animals in clothes I see
Driving cars or sipping tea
Animals in clothes I see
But they don't know what they are
These animals that drive a car?
Dress in clothes?
Sip the tea?
Just like you
Just like me
Very clever animals they'd be!

But they don't know what they are
These animals that drive a car
Dress in clothes
Sip the tea
Just like you
Just like me

So truly stupid animals they be
Not to realize what they are

Mystery beast

Do you know me?
Thats the question you ask.
Well I know you allright.
I am the beast.
That fucks up your day.

What is this mystery beast.
The one that eats my day by day?
Why does this unforseen beast pick on me?
What did I ever do?

Oh mystery beast.
I can not see you.
But I sense your presence.
Please dont pocess my body.
Realease me please.

This mystery beast.
Runs through my vains.
Eating me day by day.
