Purple Heart

As I sit and wait
I can't rest my head
I light my fire
as I smoke another cigarette

your want everything
but you break apart
there's no compromise
inside your purple heart
inside your purple heart
iside your purple
inside your purple heart

I smoke another cigarette
inhale it into my lungs
yes it takes my life away
and then it turns around

oh

Crayola Marker

Small fat and short
Felt tip with purple unending
Purple poison fills the page
Small purple cap Crayola is its name
Always a helper
Beginning to bleed
Known well throughout
Smells terrible
Words unending
Falls away
To the black world
Feels death
Mrs. Crayola is now dead

Purple Music

CHORUS:
Don't need no reefer, don't need cocaine
Purple music does the same 2 my brain
And I'm high, so high
Don't need no cymbals, no saxophone
Just need 2 find me a style of my own
And I'm high, so high
Some people can't understand
Just bein' inside a church don't make a righteous man
U're high, so high
In time we all die, all music gone
So we better try our best 2 get along
And get high, so high, oh
Ain't got no theory, ain't got no rules
I just let the purple music tell my body what 2 do
And I'm high, so high
Every subject, any key
Purple music can't be judged, it happens naturally
It's alright, alright, oh
We'll find a serpent 2 sacrifice

Sonnet XIX

The soul's Rialto hath its merchandise;
I barter curl for curl upon that mart,
And from my poet's forehead to my heart
Receive this lock which outweighs argosies,--
As purply black, as erst to Pindar's eyes
The dim purpureal tresses gloomed athwart
The nine white Muse-brows. For this counterpart, . . .
The bay-crown's shade, Beloved, I surmise,
Still lingers on thy curl, it is so black !
Thus, with a fillet of smooth-kissing breath,
I tie the shadows safe from gliding back,
And lay the gift where nothing hindereth;
Here on my heart, as on thy brow, to lack
No natural heat till mine grows cold in death.

As purply black, as erst to Pindar's eyes

Sonnet 19 - The soul's Rialto hath its merchandise

XIX

The soul's Rialto hath its merchandise;
I barter curl for curl upon that mart,
And from my poet's forehead to my heart
Receive this lock which outweighs argosies,—
As purply black, as erst to Pindar's eyes
The dim purpureal tresses gloomed athwart
The nine white Muse-brows. For this counterpart, . . .

Still lingers on thy curl, it is so black!

A Flower To Auroville Mother-73

Amaryllis(belladonna lily)

You're there in my garden
White with purplish veins
Enthralled and peace trodden
Unknowing albeit your facts

But as I wish and study

'What fancy' I should ask
Makes people all to mistake
You for unfit other names
For yours is unique pleasance

Wonderful o'belladonna lily

Divine outer-inner tepals
Strappy leaves glory-laden

All Hail To The Purple Race

All hail to the purple race
That flutters from heaven
And the space beyond.
It is to bestow mercy
On us, on our kinsmen,
But it will descend
With tears and lament.

All hail to the purple race.
The scent of violets makes
Dizzy and drunk any lass,
And Love – the sacred feeling
Beautifies all
That is heavenly and thrilling…

All hail to the purple race.
“What nonsense! ”
May someone say.
That race annoys many,
Even the sages,

Something Missing

I remember I put on my socks,
I remember I put on my shoes.
I remember I put on my tie
That was painted
In beautiful purples and blues.
I remember I put on my coat,
To look perfectly grand at the dance,
Yet I fell there is something
I may have forgot----
What is it? What is it?. . .

Silly; Short: Purple

What can I write about purple, the color?
Over that above question I shall mull …. or
just make some stuff up you might just believe.
Let's see what Brian has up his sleeve.

Purple was the seventh color discovered by man.
It's the most often used color in a Chinese fan.
When someone acts silly, we say they are 'acting purple'.
The only word it rhymes with is the archaic word snurple.

Purple was my hair color when I was born.
That that is true, my oldest brother has sworn.
In England they spell purpple with one, two, three p's.
A billion years ago it was the color of all the tree leaves.

You'll forgive me (I hope) for acting purple today.
Now that I'm retired it is one of the way……..
zi get along ….. without too much knowledge.
It may be one big reason ….. I was kicked out of college! !

No Spring Chicken

Oh my lord,
No spring chicken,
How old can she be?
I think she knew Truman,
That's plain to see.
Purple shoes, purple pantsuit,
Even purple hair.
I wonder what color,
Is her underwear.
Oh my lord,
No spring chicken,
Walking down the midway,
With nary a care.
But oh dear lord,
Will you look at that hair!

Purple And Silver

frozen evenings
on me, they camp greetings
intruding me to the dark feelings
demolishing any happy traces
that i once discovered
teardropp cases, these faces
never seem to get em' outta my head
paint in purple, paint it silver

track a train
to the valley of midnight pain
which i once suffered
i still suffer
when we look back to the spring shower
they left us, leaving poison flowers
i extracted the pulp
she wrapped the words
we made a bomb
mark our words

Sunset

The weary wind is slumbering on the wing:
Leaping from out meek twilight's purpling blue
Burns the proud star of eve as though it knew
It was the big king jewel quivering
On the black turban of advancing night.
In the dim west the soldiers of the sun
Strike all their royal colours one by one,
Reluctantly surrender every height.

Peace, Little Girl, Peace.

The poor young girl
with beach blonde hair
and pale white skin
stands in the middle of the street,
in the middle of a war.
Her face shows pain,
her face shows she wants help.
She goes to the hardware store
and steals a can of purple paint.
She doesn't know better,
so it doesn't matter.
The pale girl opens the can of purple paint
and uses her hands to write a message on the
big brick building wall.
She uses what knowledge she has of spelling,
and traces her purple paint covered fingers
over the wall.
First she draws a P
than an E
than she dips her hand back in the paint.

Klage

Dreamless sleep - the dusky Eagles
nightlong rush about my head,
man's golden image drowned
in timeless icy tides. On jagged reefs
his purpling body. Dark
echoes sound above the seas.

Stormy sadness' sister, see
our lonely skiff sunk down
by starry skies:
the silent face of night.

A Flower To Auroville Mother-67

Lupin(Lupine, Lupinus spp.)

A visual treat ornamental
Invasive field perennial
Heart and mind and soul
Never to forget the whole

A sprawling beauty such
Herbaceous Lupins stretch
Leaves palmate as a bench
Up erect the flowers much

In open whorls on high spike
Watching keen monitorlike
As helping companion in hike
Florets each winged fairylike

Purplish blue a massive beauty
As if blooming the azure sky

free purple plum fruit
from dawn til eve.
