We Cannot Cease (World Peace)
world peace,
we cannot cease...
miles mean nothing,
as long as, ....
doors open, eyes open,
hands and hearts
ready for the plow...
fallow ground, sacred again,
for the hopes of our children....
speak not of God
if you cant speak human!
world peace....
we cannot stop!
hands to the plow,
hearts on fire!

Tired Light
The distance is enormous
The universe is vast
I am the light
I travel fast.
The cosmos is monstrous
I am tired now
But space is boundless
I continue to plow.
Space is tremendous
My energy is lost
Between galaxies
In darkness and frost.
The universe enormous
I am tired now
But space is boundless
I continue to plow.

My father was a progressive farmer, and was always ready to lay aside an old plough if he could replace it with one better constructed for its work. All through life, I have ever been ready to buy a better plough.

Revelation...
i am...
something more
than my regrets,
something less,
than my dreams.
more of a carpenter
than a sculptor,
more of a farmer
than a savior.
dented, bruised, dusty,
and often busted.
i know the darkness
as well as the light,
sometimes better!
peaceful, but not a pushover,
will fight when cornered.
know about your jails,
and the prison of self.
been a drunkard, been a healer,
a mad lover, an unholy priest.

Joe Ramsbottom
Joe Ramshottom rented a bit of a farm
From its owner, Squire Goslett his name;
And the Gosletts came over with William the First,
And found Ramsbottoms here when they came.
One day Joe were ploughing his three-acre field
When the front of his plough hit a rock,
And on closer inspection o' t' damage he found
As the coulter had snapped wi' the shock.
He'd got a spare coulter at home in his shed,
But that were some distance away,
And he reckoned by t' time he had been there and back
He'd have wasted best part of the day.
The accident 'appened not far from the place
Where the Squire had his sumptuous abode;
He thought he might borrow a coulter from him,
And save going back all that road.
