The Beautiful Rose
A beautiful rose
With crimson petals
Bloomed in
In the back yard
She laughs and plays
Under the rays
The wind caresses
Her face, the rain
Washes her dirt
And makes her bright
Aesthetic sight
Worthy to be put
In the memory
Of the hard disk
The story is not so simple
It has twists and turns
Yet to get the climax
Before comes to an end

An evening in the company of a Sufi...! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
The café was packed-event,
Book release and reading of excerpts
From ‘love and Longing’
A compilation of letters
Exchanged between
Imroz and Amrita
Over a time span
Of five decades.
Imroz took the dais,
Simply dressed in white
A pair of spectacles
Resting on his nose.
Began to shyly share
Sufi poems and
Anecdotes
On a reminiscent note…
Love shone in his limpid eyes,
In the delicate curve of his smile,
Reverence in his mellifluous voice,

Justice for all storypoem
The bards of old their stories told.
In rhyming verse they had writ,
to entertain the young and old.
Sometimes they stretched the truth a bit.
To please their current lordly host
They would extol his bravery
and of his prowess loudly boast.
Although their words lacked verity.
They spread the news from far and near.
Tailored to suit their audience.
Some news which they were glad to hear.
The bards received in recompense.
The recognition and respect
accorded to them for their skill.
A place to sleep as you’d expect
and food and drink enough to fill.

They've never written a love story for me since I've been on the show and I think there's just more weight to it when two people love each other.

May
May used to be
a nun wearing a white habit
but due to some
misuse of words
which offended her
Mother Superior she was
asked to leave
and she married
a priest who fell in love
with her
left the congregation
so they can
have a life of their
own
if you think that they
live happily
ever after like
the usual story

Blow Out The Stars, Turn Off The Moon
Here on the hilltop where we fell in love
Many moons later, now were giving up
I start the engine, you start to cry
Its a beautiful memory but a sad sad goodbye.
How many times have we wished on a star,
Wrapped up in a quilt on the hood of my car
We saw halleys comet in lunar eclipse
And I sure saw heaven when I tasted your lips.
So blow out the stars, turn off the moon
Fade out the crickets and the nightingales tune
Take down the magnolias that ride the soft wind
Another love story has come to an end
When our love was new as the first evening star
We both said Ill worship you just as you are
Then I tried to change you, girl, and I dont know why
You tried to change me, hey we might as well try.
To blow out the stars, turn off the moon
Fade out the crickets and the nightingales tune
Take down the magnolias that ride the soft wind
Another love story has come to an end.

Lookin For A New Love Story
(donny lowery, dave loggins)
All my life Ive looked at love as a fairy tale
A woman a man never never land and a storybook ending
Leading roles and my heros upon the silver screen
I played em all but always came up empty
But one of these days Ill be in a movie with em
Cause I believe that fantasy
Is one step from reality
For those of us who dream of love
And I believe cause I want to
Theres some one man for someone who believes in love
To not give up
Even though youve heard so many say
Thats the way the story goes
Chorus:
Im lookin for a new love story
Im lookin for a yellow brick road
Thatll carry me to his door
Im lookin for a new love story
Oh one thats never been told before

Paradox?
I was born
when I died at the foot of your cross,
a Love story,
When I will die
I will be reborn in splendor,
in eternal glory.

Why People Become Poets Poets Dreams
have you ever wondered why people become poets?
poets have been around since the beginning of time
and they have been mostly men, speaking of their loves, life
and emotions.
famous love stories, plays, movies, all seen thru a poets eyes.
just as the centuries have gone by and everything in life has changed
so have the poets.
there is now as many and if not more female poets
than male poets. why? because they are more sensitive to emotions
and are not afraid to show or speak of it, unlike men who want to
show the 'MACHO MAN IMAGE'
poets see life thru different eyes for different situations
and write about it in so many forms, and see the light and
the darkness in everything, including the good and bad.
it may be just one word, or a line, or verse
that enters their mind to start creating
what will become a poem,
what is the poets dream that you will create?
a love story, a sad story, one of fear or hate, or passion
one of beauty, or war.

Eyes
There is no problem with my eyes
I can see whatever I like to see
My eyes can differentiate between the things
Ugly and beauty, appearance and reality
When I see in your eyes which tells a different story
The plot is ready and characters are you and me
As pure love in your heart I see
Look at my eyes too which never lies
Truthfully expresses what my heart feels
If my eyes are caught seeing at you without guilty
That means my heart tells here lies the real beauty.
Only your dialogues are waited to make it a super love story.

Spurts of hormones
Love talks, love scenes and love stories
Will trigger spurts of hormones-
Oestrogen and testosterone-
In girls and boys respectively.
Which in turn activate zones
Of sexual pleasure in brain.
Thus sexual pleasures are undergone
Without prejudice to virtues.
Elders must encourage youngsters,
And youngsters must shut eyes to elders
When they respectively indulge in love.

On A Message From Timothy MacSweeney
A message from Timothy MacSweeney a son of Dominic Mac
The proprieter of the Star Ballroom brought the old memories back
Of the long gone nineteen sixties and seventies when i was a young man
When on thursday nights I danced in the Star ballroom 'Where love stories began'.
Dominic's advertisment in the Cork examiner for The Star Club included the caption 'Where love stories begin'
If there were a prize for advertising originality this one would surely win
In the tough game of promoting entertainment Dominic did succeed
One well known and respected and a clever man indeed.
In the Star Ballroom in the sixties and seventies Ireland's best Showbands did play
Joe Dolan, The Royal, The Capitol and Big Tom all big names on their day
The Miami, The Champions and The Dixies, Larry Cunningham and Mick Del
Of the sixties and seventies I have good memories as memory serves me well.
A nice message from Timothy macSweeney one I have yet to meet
Took me back to the sixties and seventies to Duhallow and Millstreet
To the Star Ballroom on thursday night where we danced till after one
Our young years were our best years when all is said and done.

The cable news - PEACE
some unbelievable love story
is running on the screens
of our home cable
all the members of all the ages
postponing their regular routines
are nailed to the actions
and are absorbed so deeply
for two and half hours
while the cinema was on
our home was so lovingly calm
free of murmurs and argument
echoing complaints and undercurrents
except, the noisy sound tracks
of the false story sequences
dreamily uniting the warring home groups
I thank that producer for his excellent piece

I Have Seen Your Picture With Your Daughters In Kimono
i have seen a long time ago
you and your daughters in their colorfol kimonos
then there was this guitar that you play
and the english language that you teach
and the education you are giving them
there are other many people in this world
not just us,
we are not living inside walls and fences
there are other playgrounds out there
where you my children can
play
beyond colors beyond chinky eyes
are other possibilities with us
the firetrees here burn with loneliness
this summer
forgetting the color of your memories
Japan, the city of the sun
where you now live

I definitely would like to do something serious. Not like a love story, but serious like maybe a gangster or a mobster. A gang or a mob movie would be great.

Talk about Romeo, This is my Fairytale
Once upon a fairytale, dictated my life, like fantasy itself touched everybody's hearts and hypnotized minds and twisted feelings...
My life indeed traveled through thousands of wonders, experienced definitely good and bad and helped more than i can count!
It was more than a dream, A lovely sunset, It was more than an epic love story that can take away your breath...
When time came that you were not there, It was more than a dream you were dancing all along, It was more than heartfelt- Broken song. But in the end, You were like sent from heaven...
My romeo, my new cocaine! A better path to a new love story...

| Love |
Don't beg him
To fall in love
With you…
For, if Almighty God
Cannot love you,
How can a mere
Mortal love you?
If God would have
Loved you…
He would have
Made sure…
Whoever you loved,
Would have loved you
Too…
All your love stories
Would have had
Happy endings…

Thou hide thyself behind the Fabrics of life
weft is Energy and matter is
warp,
Weaving fabric after fabric of
worlds,
Filling your own breath in all,
Every breath is eternal story of
thy love,
thou are blind to thy own brightness,
Covering yourself with colourful fabric of life,
thou art that primordial existence and cause,
Primordial love,
Thou art the love, ever loving lover,
beloved of all life,
every life is a ray of thy love,
Every life is thy love story,
You weave the web of life,
Using corporeal and Empyreal illusions,
Every word is colourful and
powerful,

Skip not a chance
There is no world beyond
Give a momentary thought for second
Love is not to align bodily
But long for each other and resign
Love is to spread message
Not to be pulled down in page
Love story must speak of sacrifice
Not of life and death promise
Live for life that is precious and divine
One must thank of God and feel always fine
Who know what next world is?
Whether you will be bonded or free?
Younger generation look forward to us
They want us to be their guide with trust
Selfless life mission speaks a lot
Where love is won without being sought
