A Better Ressurection

I have no wit, no words, no tears;
My heart within me like a stone
Is numbed too much for hopes or fears.
Look right, look left, I dwell alone;
I lift mine eyes, but dimmed with grief
No everlasting hills I see;
My life is in the falling leaf:
O Jesus, quicken me.

My life is like a faded leaf,
My harvest dwindled to a husk:
Truly my life is void and brief
And tedious in the barren dusk;
My life is like a frozen thing,
No bud nor greenness can I see:
Yet rise it shall--the sap of spring;
O Jesus, rise in me.

My life is like a broken bowl,
A broken bowl that cannot hold

More Elusive

A fallen leaf can not be revived,
Or returned to thrive on a disgarding tree.
A force implemented to do a will rejected...
Finds no success accepted.
We are here to conquer our own inadequate ways!
Share those discoveries,
And build together on that foundation!
Unsatisfied that our own nests have crumbled...
We then seek ways to shake others,
From their places of comfort!
Believing this destruction benefits a peace,
That grows more elusive!

The Cruelty Of Fire...

so many fallen leaves
on graveled grounds
less are the worms
and the moss

someone so cruel
who does not have the patience
of water
resorts to the abruptness of
fire
and burns them all....

Autumn Leaves

The autumn leaves swirl to the ground in their millions.
Gold, russet, ochre, burnt umber, and deep vermillion.
Down to the ground, the dying leaves flit and flutter;
On to the grassy bank, the pathway, and into the gutter.

Some of the colours of the leaves are deep and so very rich.
Whirling along the ground, some leaves tumble into the ditch.
A thick layer of multicoloured leaves now carpets the earth,
Leaving the trees bare, in readiness, for next spring’s rebirth.

With changing leaf colours, many people love this time of year,
But, that summer is well and truly over, it is now perfectly clear.
The many colours mixed together are a magical sight to behold;
I love the shades of yellow, crimson, sienna, and ruby red, so bold.

Some leaves are mottled, with two glorious colours or more;
Adding to the fabulous display, which now lies upon the floor.
Children love nothing better, than to frolic through the fallen leaves;
When workmen collect them up, they’re left feeling very aggrieved.

September Stream

Fallen to the wash
Dead leaves in September
There only to float away
A sign of seasons change
Autumnal picture postcard
In the landscape which we walk
Pathways losing shade and shelter
Bare branches rise above
Flower heads falling away
Leaving bowed stems
Tall grass and broken sticks
Leaves blown to the water
To be washed away
The world in all its movement
The world amid its change
The cycle of everything
Now seen in the dying leaves
Falling and taken away
In a September stream

¤`Åloné i Walk`¤

Alone i walk these streets,
covered up with fallen leaves.
Oh, it's so hard to sleep,
with head full of memories.

There's no one to comfort me,
when i just don't stop to bleed.
Too far from reality,
i'm too close to misery.

It's really so hard to believe,
all those i had, are gone from me.
And now it's so hard to sleep,
with head full of memories.

They all came after asking me,
but never ask before they leave.
Making me the last one to go to sleep,
when no one else in this world use to sleep.

Winter Solstice

I swept the litter
off my mind;
the fallen leaves,
thoughts that don't fit,
pauses and smiles that
were awkward and cool,
conversations that died,
and dreams gone beyond
their good-until this date.

Sanctuary

'And on the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither nor their fruit fail, but they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water
for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing.' ~ Ezekiel 47: 12

sanctuary
dying trees
and fallen
leaves

dried river
hungry heart
and wounded liver
sanctuary

bones of dust
sanctuary
my head
know longer knows

Roses Withered

Fall has come, I see roses withered
with timely settled of fluttering birds.
The golden colors of fallen leaves,
upon the grounds and upon the eaves.

With whistling winds a joyous tune,
an eerie light from an Autumn's moon.
And underfoot fresh acorns fallen,
with the scent of Summer's last final pollen.

Masks wearing children, running door to door
carrying bags of sweets hoping for more.
The echo chirps of the southbound geese
the sight of that flight, wish it not ceased.

I think of the crisp, clean air
and laughter's from an Autumn's fair.
A feast prepared for a family's gathered
around the table and around a smoked bird.

Autumn Air

The autumn air is clear,
The autumn moon is bright.
Fallen leaves gather and scatter,
The jackdaw perches and starts anew.
We think of each other- when will we meet?
This hour, this night, my feelings are hard.

No Sight

Li Bai, no sight of you for a long time,
It's tragic that you pretend to be insane.
The whole world wants to kill you.
I alone treasure your talent.
Quick-minded, improvising thousands of poems,
you roam like a falling leaf for a cup of wine.
You studied here at Kuang Mountain
and it's time to return, now that your hair is white.

Whose Journey?

i am sick
of a thousand births
in a thousand forms,
is light not light?
is not the water dripping
from the faucet,
the same water that
fills the ocean?
is not night the darkness
of the womb?
be not the fallen leaf the bud
of another time?
is not the old man just buried,
the baby in the mother's arms?
is not the soldier that just fired,
the child killed by the bombing?
is not the lover that just left,
the young girl in first love?
is not the king of the world,
the begger in the alley?

Autumn Feeling

Feeling of love is everywhere
As the times go on by
I'll remember it here and there
Like sun glow in the sky
Days gone were lonely some
Everything is again calling
Emotions like summer blossom
Day to the autumn falling

Feeling of a dream in heart
Love like tones of deep
Everything goes night will start
Nothing is ours to keep
Garden flowers falling leaves
Songs of summer leaving
Moments in their lonely grieves
Hours in shadows deceiving

Feeling inside of loneliness
As autumn says goodbye

Black Raven

My heart is held hostage
Seeking refuge in safe haven
Fallen leaf from the maple foliage
Perching on a branch is a Black Raven
I sit and watch from the windowpane
Sheet of glass so clear and visible
Feeling my heart carrying a ball and chain
For now I am indivisible
In future quest I will relive
Experience again sweet loving tenderness
Companionship and a great friend
By the deep forest’s wilderness
If you have ever been in a position like mine,
you might comprehend
Black Raven fly freely
With time - problems will disappear ideally

What life is!

Life is ………………………
Sometimes hearing sometimes deaf
Sometimes green fruit sometimes a fallen leaf
Sometimes speaking sometimes dumb
Sometimes sensitive sometimes numb
Sometimes shallow sometimes deep
Sometimes arid sometimes damp
Sometimes honour sometimes damn
Sometimes king sometimes clown
Sometimes full sometimes hollow
Sometimes dim sometimes glow
Sometimes stagnant sometimes flow
Sometimes quick sometimes slow
Whatever life is …………
Stand straight, never, never bent or bow
Remain glad, never, never sad or low.

When Life Is But A Round Of Crushing Care

When life is but a round of crushing care
And, a great heap of stones, lies heavy on us,
There suddenly, God knows how, why, upon us
A joyous mood descends... Of balmy air
A breath comes from the past and, o'er us drifting,
Invades the heart, its fearful burden lifting.

At times with autumn's coming is it so,
When empty lie the fields, when bare the groves are,
And paler turn the skies - and of a sudden, over
The darkened earth a damp wind starts to blow.
A fallen leaf it chases with elation
And to our hearts of spring brings a sensation.

Hammock Upon The Winds

there lies sadness like patches of green moss
sticking upon a rock half covered by the clear water of the river

one may think that sadness will always be there as patches of
what we have always wanted to get rid off like peeling them off gently from
an old sharp and rugged edged rock

sometimes you become so tired planning and doing and then surrendering into the helplessness of a fallen leaf that floats and is carried slowly by the current of the river early morning on a Sunday

when people are not around spending holidays on places that they miss for the whole week

and so one lays its tired body on the side of the river's bank
wades his hands and feels the coolness of the water and then starts to flow and release what he thinks must be given away

one feels the restfulness of finally giving up
of not minding about what cares must be done in order to make
life smoother

flowing and easier like the way the brown leaf floats
like the way the blue clouds drift
