Quotes about anesthesia, page 3
Something to Numb the Pain
Their philosophies are proclaimed to be different.
As expressed...
Throughout a long campaign.
For press 'ops' and long speech stops!
Yet both declare they are advocates for change.
And the one thing that remains to be the same,
Are their philosophies.
They proclaim to be different!
Yet redundantly familiar.
Like a medical procedure...
Administered without anesthesia.
And all that is called for now...
Is something to numb the pain!
Or a rearrangement of the routine.
Before an outburst of people scream...
'No more of this! We get it!
Whatever has to be done...do it quick!
The both of you are making us sick! '

Dirty Homes
While going my way, searching an eternal flame
I confront an extraordinary trauma,
God does not live, but dies in me daily.
There was green pain in this condemned strangeness
as the young world moves on
dancing with joy.
It was not a coincidence
that intellectual anesthesia
was not able to bring good sleep.
So much passes by your city
existential traffic, soaring above arguments,
but a chilled, far away voice
defends the crumbling palace of syntax.
The masks are crying from the split walls
languishing in the hopeless garden.
Wherever you go, the windows are closed
and the smoke rings

Apathy and Endurance
Caught during the action,
When he pumped into a Matron,
Her jewels were his attention,
and missed the concentration.
The angry crowd beat him,
Punch, pinch and waste him,
He becomes ‘unconscious' fast,
Police bring him to treat.
Stretch on the stretcher quiet,
The doctors take the pulse right,
The mannerism says the rest,
Send him to have his torn tight.
Anesthetic not be administered,
As the thief patient is unconscious,
The doctor finished the sutures on his lips,
the drops of tear roll down his cheeks.

New Boobs
Something is lacking, Im not attracting
My boobs are not as big as I want them to be
I want 36d
Im not receiving enuff affection
Gonna get me a silicon injection
And fulfill my dreams, bust through my seams
My social life is pathetic, I cant find a man
When I need is cosmetic surgery
Be the best I can be
Proteins, and milkshakes, mass vitamin consumption
Who needs to diet when liposuction
Is painless and quick, local anesthetic
Now my body is a model, a flawless perfection
I most certainly will cause an erection
Wherever I go, but I still dont know
The reason why I cant find a mate
Guys I meet ejaculate
Then leave through the door,
I cant take anymore

My Confession
... my confession
because i'm diluted
and
perfectly flawed
i shall
live by passion
and
not by law
and i'm
insecure ...
i need aggression
to
feed the spiders
of perception
and i'm

A Political Lullabyebye
We sway you left and right
And central boom
We care about your doom
Sway you left and right
And central boom
We care about your doom
We’re briberal lateral uni bi
Sing a historical lullabyebye
We preserve conserve reserve we serve
Preserve conserve reserve we serve
Driving along a deadly curve
We critically knit an enclytical web
High tide low tide ebb
We’re red and green blue and white
Bring you bread and flags and human right
Make you sleep in tune so sweet and high

A Little Son's Promise
As i was wheeled to the operating room
His little voice still lingered in my ears
The anesthesia was successfully done
And before i went into a deep sleep
I can still see his face in the waiting room
Worried, with tears in his eyes
But showed his bravery for me
We were alone in my hospital bed
Waiting for the doctors to come
I was having a miscarriage
Nervous and fear painted my face
My little boy was holding my hands
Touching my head, stroking my hair
With his soft voice, he whispered
'Don't be afraid, I am here,
I will take care of you, Mama
This promise of a little boy

Digital Man
Words by neil peart, music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
His world is under observation ---
We monitor his station
Under faces and the places
Where he traces points of view
He picks up scraps of conversation ---
Radio and radiation
From the dancers and romancers
With the answers --- but no clue
Hed love to spend the night in zion
Hes been a long while in babylon
Hed like a lovers wings to fly on
To a tropic isle of avalon
His world is under anaesthetic ---
Subdivided and synthetic
His reliance on the giants
In the science of the day
He picks up scraps of information ---
Hes adept at adaptation
cause for strangers and arrangers

Wrong Choices
When after a drink or two
You take a Harley ride,
This one thing is very true -
You are asking for Suicide.
When all your life you smoked
And you find your lungs are aching,
If you do not get a Stroke -
It's from Cancer you'll be dying.
When you're not due for surgery
But you ask for Anesthesia,
Well, the end is a certainty -
Your family will be grieving for you..
The lifestyles that you take
Eventually lead to your exit -
Health issues you forsake
Later clicks your life to 'Delete'.

Lewis
Bummed out again
Buy early business friend
The smell of fear is bigger than you think
Hey don't do it
Do it
Change seem to fit
In the end you just feel sick
And then you choke on an anesthetic
Hey don't do it

Save yourself the pain
You'll never get there

Save yourself the pain
It never really matters here
We never noticed
We never understood
He just get crushed to fit
He never even smile

How Did You Kill Me?
All German concentration camps
will be run under total authority
of dread Death's Head Units of SS;
after 1934 a unified Nazi plan killing
with Prussian military precision
Theodor Eicke will command
SS-Totenkopfverbände (SS-TV):
under SS, Heinrich Himmler
author creator of Dachau in 1933
creator of eastern Europe's death camps
head of most extremely feared unit;
in Nazi Germany the Gestapo in 1934
put in charge of Ministry of Interior
June 1934 Night of the Long Knives
grim SS deed conducted with cold chilling;
efficiency the stamp of events to horrify

Burnie
Brought up in a world of changes
Part time cleaner in a holiday flat
Stare out to sea at the ships at night
No anaesthesia, Im gonna work on it day to day
No zephyr no light relief it seems
But maybe its a dream
Im lying back in a row of timber cases placed out
On the dock with nightmare faces looking at me
And I can see now, and I wanna be free now
This is my home
This is my sea
Dont paint it with the future, of factories
I want to stay, I feel okay
Theres nothing else as perfect
Ill have my way
Brought up in a world of changes
Waste product, pedestrian, limb from limb
Short changed by the surfing priest again
Two children in the harbour
They play their game stormwater drain

The Season of Depletion
The season of depletion comes.
With the loss of those dancing sugar plums,
Fading innocence from the eyes of young children.
This Fall brings cutbacks on illusions.
Grumpy teachers prepare...
To receive fewer apples and more weapons,
From backpack wearing kids glaring in protest.
Yes,
The season of depletion comes.
Gone are overpriced 'sneaks' and thigh riding skirts.
Jeans worn to expose undies...
With piercings everywhere to be seen.
Offensive tattoos shown on those cussing on school buses.
Parents fussing about the lack of quality,
As they try to contain a disgust.
And those given assigments,
To share their essays of Summer activities.

Of Course It Hurts!
Of course it hurts!
What pain inflicted doesn't?
The blood stipened from veins
Is the same that is sucked from Mother Earth.
Don't you think that does not hurt.
And She is here bleeding.
While we trash and polluted the dirt...
Until it becomes worthless!
Of course it hurts.
To have creatures leech,
And kill themselves.
To have scientists experiment,
Fusing and abusing the normalcy of cells.
To invent diseases and attempt to find cures.
There is not much more,
Mother Nature will endure.
Of course it hurts.
To witness a demonicness increase.

From Which Two to Choose
Does this sound remotely logical...
That someone sitting,
In their home...
Alone.
In a quiet peacefulness,
They feel has been earned.
To wish upon themselves,
Havoc, chaos and twenty four hours...
Of nonstop conflict?
To wilfully admit a wish to invite 'that'?
And plot to destroy their own peace?
Are people that lonely?
I can be driven to the edge,
To make a decision...
Whether I prefer happiness,
Over walking on clouds of joy.
Those are my choices...

Affable Alf
Have you heard the inscrutable mutable Alf,
The mannerly man with the silvery tongue?
Ever loquacious,
Smiling and gracious.
Loud in the land have his praises been sung.
He has magnetised all with his eloquent speakin'
The Great oratorical oracle, Deakin.
His somewhat sporadical radical speeches
Have over-persuaded us all, and his style
His easy urbanity
Tickles our vanity;
And we are won by his affable smile.
He captivates all with his eloquence sinister,
Does the persuasive, evasive Prime Minister.
His fine pyrotechnical technical phrases,
His grand perorations, exordiums, too,
'Spite their obscurity,
Are of a purity

When They Call You, You Must Go
do not refuse a chance to be a hero,
so on this day,
or tonight, when they call your name
go,
do not tarry, be ready with the raincoat
and the flashlight
you just do not know what happens next
they will take you to the place
a house on the side of the forest
at the foot of the mountain
there is no fire there
no smoke
nothing is cooked for supper
there is a bleeding man
and he is groaning in pain
and they open the door and you enter
with your black leather bag
and they call you
doctor
there is no ideology here

Hammer To Fall
Words and music by brian may
Here we stand or here we fall
History wont care at all
Make the bed light the light
Lady mercy wont be home tonight yeah
You dont waste no time at all
Dont hear the bell but you answer the call
It comes to you as to us all
Were just waiting
For the hammer to fall
Oh evry night and every day
A little piece of you is falling away
But lift your face the western way
Build your muscles as your body decays yeah
Toe your line and play their game yeah
Let the anaesthetic cover it all
Till one day they call your name
You know its time for the hammer to fall
Rich or poor or famous
For your truth its all the same (oh no oh no)

Love is befitting,
Hate is misfitting.
Love opens,
Hate closes.
Love is dynamic,
Hate is inertic.
Love is licit,
Hate is illicit.
Love is optimism,
Hate is pessimism. [6]

Some Lessons Learned Have to Go Into Immediate Effect
There are several reasons why,
I choose not to go out of my way for folks.
Most of them are thoughtless.
And the rest...
Get provoked!
I do not care what is done...
They will be back for more.
And once they have become addicted to this,
The 'victim' becomes disrespected.
If a wish and whim is dismissed.
There are several reasons why,
I choose not to go out of my way for folks.
Many simply do not care.
Who it is that supplies their needs.
Or who they have left pulling out their hair.
And I know that I have aged with values long gone.
When all I require is a 'thank you' from those I assist.
