Quotes about Champagne, page 3
I Woke Up In A Strange Place
Ghost calls to visit
With my keys in his pocket
Kisses in my mouth with his
Eyes hanging out of his sockets
My memories crumble
Under still resistance
I was torn out like pages
From the book of existence
I woke up in a strange place
My mind a blur and some blood on my chin
I made a call for a blackened cab
Some destination was moving on in
I remember the words that you told me
How they come down so hard, so plain
Fate is going to find your love in a
Glass of champagne
I lied to my host I told him
I knew how far I could go
When I emptied my guts out
On his brand new stereo

A woman should never be seen eating or drinking, unless it be lobster salad and Champagne, the only true feminine and becoming viands.

Drinking Champagne
I'm drinking champagne, feelin' no pain 'till early mornin'.
Dinin' and dancin' with every pretty girl I can find.
I'm havin' a fling with a pretty young thing 'till early mornin'.
Knowin' tomorrow I'll wake up with you on my mind.
Guilty conscience, I guess.
Though I must confess.
I never loved you much when you were mine.
So, I'll keep drinking champagne,
Feelin' no pain 'till early mornin'.
Dinin' and dancin' with every pretty girl I can find.
Having a fling with a pretty young thing 'till early mornin'.
Knowin' tomorrow I'll wake up with you on my mind.
Guilty conscience, I guess.
Though I must confess.
I never loved you much when you were mine.
So, I'll keep drinkin' champagne,
Feelin' no pain 'till early mornin'.
Dinin' and dancin' with every pretty girl I can find.
I'll keep having a fling with a pretty young thing
'Till early mornin'.

The Diamond, the Socrateses in You
can life be so simple?
as is written in all the books?
where have all your probing
Socrateses gone to?
the bubbly quest for life
that is so infectious everybody
is drawn to your enthusiasm
to take a fresh view of themselves
giving themselves new angle
to breathe life, for truths, for the
realities behind every written word
where has the diamond in you gone to?
the characterthat makes you shine
in so many facets

End Of The Season Drama
Nerves all jittery and fraught
fingernails chewed to the quick
this is the lot of the football fan
end of the season can make you sick.
One minute your team is staying up
the next you're on your way down
that smile you had on your face
is now replaced with a miserable frown.
With mobiles flashing up scores
and radios pressed to one's ear
it's either going to be bubbly Champagne
or crying into a pint of flat beer.
No time for a sun drenched vacation
Gardening, Fishing, or a spot of D.I.Y.
to the fan this is a really serious matter
but it's only football I can hear you cry.
Try saying that to the weary supporter
who follows his team home and away
when faced with the dreaded relegation
he drops to his knees to pray.

Judith and a Wedding Day
You and Judith
sang in the choir
at the major's
daughter's wedding
and after
you walked along
to the house and gardens
where the reception
was being held
where there were marquees
for food of various kinds
and a huge beer tent
where there was champagne
and beer and wine
and soft drinks and lemonade

Liquid
A bubbly drink has entered my stomach,
Through a period of time, in a minute.
The whole question is answered,
A little worry has disappeared,
The vest I wear will cushion me
As I wear the liquid of love.
The drink I wear is preposterous,
The money involved is tremendous,
The work I live in does not matter,
Those living in this country are dreaming
Of an abode in the very land of their heart.
My drink is this land, and very worth it.

Louisville, CO/2000
Pour into glasses
and dreams slowly bubbly
Achieving islands uninterrupted rigging
dusk weeping face
Maybe the sky was blue beyond
Between Louisville was a stranded island
Within self-guzzler
Within pedestrian
Shoes stepped between snow
Who never stopped looking for shelter
Cold air from the storm outside
The islands are left in a staggered
The legs do not tick-early evening hours
in the hands of

Today
Weekly news, spreading egos
blasted brains and maniacs
polite smiles, awkward eyes
disregarding the brave act
Radical views, comical scenes
post traumas and tantrums
nosy lives, winning strikes
delusions of sane minds
Bubbly thoughts, serious faces
unknown depths and train wrecks
Are these new? , they are now
perversion of the neophytes
Tradition calls, memory recalls
resemblance of tamed cats
try these shoes, wisely choose
hypothesis of an outcast.

Michelle's Surprise
Michelle is a spinster in her thirties
she's lived and knows the score.
She'd finally found a likeable man,
divorced and single for sure.
She allowed herself several weeks
to ensure he was Mr Right.
Over shadowing all her past lovers,
he was sincere, loving, and bright.
For twelve weeks she lived in heaven,
until she discovered a lie.
He was using an on line dating service,
seeking relationships on the sly.
She thought, don't get mad get even,
and joined the same dating site.
As another woman she replied to his posting
and arranged a date for a Friday night.

An Innocent Victim
She was a lively
and a bubbly girl of three,
running around and playing
with her brother in her flat.
As the sun went down
she fell ill and
started vomitting.
Short of breath
she was rushed to the hospital
she began sinking
Inhaling the pesticide
sprayed in a
neighbouring flat,
she struggled with life now
ultimately she gave up
and died
without an antidote
for the banned pesticide.

Bubble Toes
It's as simple as something that nobody knows that her eyes are as big
as her bubbly toes
on the feet of a queen of the hearts of the cards and her feet are all
covered with tar balls and scars
It's as common as something that nobody knows that her beauty will
follow wherever she goes
up the hill in the back of her house in the would she love me forever

Fighting is like champagne. It goes to the heads of cowards as quickly as of heroes. Any fool can be brave on a battlefield when it's be brave or else be killed.

I think getting drunk is the key to flying comfortably. A couple of bloody marys or several glasses of champagne, and suddenly it's like you're on a roller coaster.

Boys From Brazil
Boys from brazil
Champagne
Desert shore
Celebrate
Memorize
Associate lips with the poor
Eyes of the world on you
Boys from brazil
Champagne
Desert shore
What can you say
About anything lost now
What can you say
About stolen things too
Anything stolen
Something is lost now
What can you say
And how fast can things move
Boys from brazil
Fortune of bird in flight

A Flower To Auroville Mother-43
Fuchsia(Fuchsia spp)
Vine Fuchsia(Fuchsia corymbiflora)
Eardrops you look like
O'fuschia pendulous
Or
Neckpendant you look like
O'fuschia pendulous
Or
A dancerlike you look..
Sepaled fluttering
Four upward all alike
Petaled drooping
Rest downward all alike
Peeping stamens peering
Mixed colours all to strike
Laughing leaves notched
There a cousin nearby
Hanging in clusters

For a while we had trouble trying to get the sound of a champagne cork exploding out of the bottle. I solved the problem by sticking my finger in my mouth and popping it out.
