Quotes about violet, page 2

Each Small Gleam Was a Voice

Each small gleam was a voice,
A lantern voice --
In little songs of carmine, violet, green, gold.
A chorus of colours came over the water;
The wondrous leaf-shadow no longer wavered,
No pines crooned on the hills,
The blue night was elsewhere a silence,
When the chorus of colours came over the water,
Little songs of carmine, violet, green, gold.

Small glowing pebbles
Thrown on the dark plane of evening
Sing good ballads of God
And eternity, with soul's rest.
Little priests, little holy fathers,
None can doubt the truth of your hymning,
When the marvellous chorus comes over the water,
Songs of carmine, violet, green, gold.

Purple Violet

Purple violet
You live in my garden
Druring the summer months
And that girl
That lives next door
Is wearing a purple violet dress today
so that she can go to school in style
Like the rest of the other kids
But one thing that I have noticed
Is that she is not as rich like the other kids
In her school

This flower had a yellow center white lapetals
with Violet edges each little part a much larger
representation of this whole thing was not
as big as mye own hand eye devised a plan quite
similar to pulling stem from apple reading
alphabetic eye have to get to V for Violet
but instead of tempting fate or GOD or Jesus
his own SON or human reflex eye placed no letter
on this game but gamely twisted this flower
in a circle flicking petals in the air until
to mye surprise only one remained with
yellow centered white for love with Violet
edges this Symbol of our love this Flower
stem of green to base this Flower on,
this viable of love.

Girl With The Hungry Eyes

I like to move at the speed of light
Albert says I cant -- but I can
Circle of stone, circle of steel
I want to ride in an iron wheel
I am a child of atomic war
You are the daughter of the overlord
Lets get together on the killin floor
Give me -- more, more, more, more, more
Violet lightning
Violet lightning
Shes the girl with the hungry eyes
The girl with the hungry eyes
She holds up half the sky
The girl with the hungry eyes
I just met the girl with the perfect lips
I just met the girl with the perfect fit
Every atom in my body could inhale her
Speed of light girl, she is a sailor
Violet lightning
Violent lightning

I. PROEM.
This was a sweet white wildwood violet
I found among the painted slips that grow
Where, under hot-house glass, the flowers forget
How the sun shines, and how the cool winds blow.

The violet took the orchid's colouring,
Tricked out its dainty fairness like the rest;
Yet still its breath was as the breath of Spring,
And the wood's heart was wild within its breast.

The orchid mostly is the flower I love,
And violets, the mere violets of the wood,
For all their sweetness, have not power to move
The curiosity that rules my blood.

Yet here, in this spice-laden atmosphere,
Where only nature is a thing unreal,
I found in just a violet, planted here,
The artificial flower of my ideal.

The Mauve Basket

Purple like a tulip in a spring field. Swaying calmly with the wind, under a violet sky, beckoning you to come closer, and closer. A Mauve Basket coming closer and closer.

Then a hand picks the plum flower, covering the tulip with warmth, and whispering it's secrets to it.

The flower looks back at it's past home, a wild violet field, waiting to get placed in the purple pocket, but instead finds a new home, in the Mauve Basket.

Nothing to Save

There is nothing to save, now all is lost,
but a tiny core of stillness in the heart
like the eye of a violet.

Violet Moon

The moon so bright tonite,
darkness cowers in fear,
light dances with joy,
as the moon turns violet tonite.

Color

What is pink? a rose is pink
By a fountain's brink.
What is red? a poppy's red
In its barley bed.
What is blue? the sky is blue
Where the clouds float thro'.
What is white? a swan is white
Sailing in the light.
What is yellow? pears are yellow,
Rich and ripe and mellow.
What is green? the grass is green,
With small flowers between.
What is violet? clouds are violet
In the summer twilight.
What is orange? Why, an orange,
Just an orange!

Prewdence Baldwin (once my maid)
From whose happy spark here let

In The Desert

in the desert
one night
under a full orange moon
among the sands
and vipers
a tiny flower
still blooms
so beautifully
violet.

take Me With You(wherever You Go)

take me to the place
where a waterfall
really is a waterfall
deep dark blue
take me with you

take me to a place
where a sunset
really is a sunset
bright orange and violet
i don't care what colour
just take me with you

take me to a place
where a rainbow
really is a rainbow
red, orange, green and blue
indigo, violet and yellow to
take me with you

Reality

Children of the violet wind
Dreams shelter grown children
Your dreams are now thorns
Our ideals can be so cruel

Adjust yourself to reality or cry

Keats

An English lad, who, reading in a book,
A ponderous, leathern thing set on his knee,
Saw the broad violet of the Egean Sea
Lap at his feet as it were village brook.
Wide was the east; the gusts of morning shook;
Immortal laughter beat along that shore;
Pan, crouching in the reeds, piped as of yore;
The gods came down and thundered from that book.
He lifted his sad eyes; his London street
Swarmed in the sun, and strove to make him heed;
Boys spun their tops, shouting and fair of cheek:
But, still, that violet lapping at his feet,—
An English lad had he sat down to read;
But he rose up and knew himself a Greek.

Violet

And the sky was made of amethyst
And all the stars look just like little fish
You should learn when to go
You should learn how to say no
Might last a day yeah
Mine is forever
Might last a day, yeah
Well mine is forever
When they get what they want they never want it again
When they get what they want they never want it again
Go on, take everything, take everything I want you to
Go on, take everything take everything take everything I want you to
And the sky was all violet I want it again, but more violet, more violet
Hey, Im the one with no soul
One above and one below
Go on, take everything take everything I want you to
Go on, take everything take everything I want you to
I told you from the start just how this would end
When I get what I want I never want it again
Go on, take everything take everyting I want you to
