Big Mack

I have always been a trucker
I was raised on diesel fumes,
And I smoked two packs of Lucky's
From daybreak to afternoons,
While I ate at roadside diners
From a plate that swam in grease,
And I downed two mugs of coffees
In my cab, the one I leased.

My Big Mack, my eighteen-wheeler
I once drove through western plains,
Then I hauled hogs out of Denver
And I shuttled freight to Maine,
And I kept my eyes wide open
As I popped those purple hearts,
I could feel my heart keep pounding
As I rolled beneath the stars.

It's a great and grand old country
From New York to Idaho,

Another Storm Between Us

Strong winds come to stir and blow.
With it a mixture of ocean rain.
Could this be the season so soon,
Of those unpredictable tornados.
Could this be already,
The season to prepare for hurricanes?

It seems as the Summer leaves,
And it is missed...
I,
In my mind...
Sit with wishes quick to reminisce,
Holding you in those heated breezes.
With closed eyes,
As we kiss lips.

I sit with wishes quick to reminisce,
The last touch we shared...
As the winds begin to stir,
And the rain pours swiftly...

Mississippi

Nashville sky, in the morning sun
Somewhere up north, a new life begun
He was drawn to the twister, with a Memphis sound
Kissed by an Angel, of a music town.
Jump a train from Chicago, trace it back
With the neck of a bottle, and the groove of the tracks
Spend your life running, that Angels sweet sound
Chasing the ghosts, of a faraway town.
Oh Mississippi, running through my veins
Oh Mississippi, never the same again.

Laredo Tornado

Summer days, where did you go,
Youve let me down so bad,
Clouds fill the sky,
Gone is the dream
My happy hunting ground.
Wild buffalo played and I never saw a rainy day.
But it looks like summer days aint coming back.
March april may, june and july,
You took me for a fall.
Big chief he lie,
Cold wind blows cool, so cold to make you die.
Mountain breeze, ocean bay and I never saw a rainy day.
But it looks like them summer days aint comming back.
Chorus
Laredo tornado,
Adios amigos
What can you do, when your dream world is gone.
And your friends and lovers too.
West winter street under the ground,
The air that makes you choke,

Tornado In January!

major tornado damage here
in the western North Carolina
foothills last night!
up to fifty homes, and/or mobile
homes, damaged, or destroyed.
forty degree temps, and a tornado,
in January!
people left homeless, injured, and
lost everything they had... they
need our prayers, and our help!
we take so much for granted... we
complain about how hard things are...
and then you watch your neighbors
lose it all in an instant...
we need to be family, right here
and now... and to learn to be
thankful for the small things!

Travis The Terrible

This is an adorable little creature called Travis The Terrible
It lives in toys, trees, towers, and transformers
A Travis eats toads, trampolines, tornados and tomatoes
It likes trucks, ticks, tortillas, and tests
It tortures, teases, tricks, and treats
It took my television and with a twist turned it upside down just one of its little tricks.

Shine All Your Light

Here under heaven's eyes,
down under paradise,
sometimes it seems like we're so small.
Here on the shores that reach
into infinity,
how could we matter much at all?
Would it be enough
if each of us would give our love?
Like sand on a mountain,
rain on a fountain,
shade on a shadow,
a breeze in this tornado,
just do what you can.
Clap with one hand
and shine all your light in the sun.
We live to learn to love.
Oh, mercy from above.
Amazing grace, like rain comes falling down.
We sing our hearts to you,
our song of gratitude.

Midnight Blues

And peer international corproation
Got the blues like midnight.
Honey wont be long fore day.
Got the blues like midnight.
Honey wont be long fore day.
Wish that tornado would blow my blues away.
Lord, I can tell my bulldog
When I hear him bark
Lord, I can tell my baby
When I hear her in the dark.
Got the blues like midnight.
Honey wont be long fore day.
Got the blues like midnight.
Honey wont be long fore day.
Lord I wish a tornado would blow my blues away.

Tempest

I met a twister
On a narrow country lane
A Sunday afternoon
When man had gone to the beach
Dismounted my motor bike
Just in case the little rascal
Wanted to have fun
But it took no interest kept on
Rushing down the lane
I sensed it had lost its way
And was looking for its mother

A Habit

waking up the morning
with some ideas popping

another boring day?
with nothing to play?

i look to the world inside me
and say

oh! there is so much to do
there is another tornado

Tree by the Road

A naked tree
stands apart.

Cars pass
with freeway speed
bending thin branches
in their own furious wind.

Slowing
I see black leaves
on nearly empty limbs…

No, not leaves,
but dark pears,

or glass balls left to fall
from a forgotten Christmas tree

abandoned, alone, without cheer,

Mistral of poetry

Thus the story of two:
You and me alone...
And words...
As floods which no one escapes.
A tornado that does not bother anyone.
As we love hurricanes.
Just you and I...
And words...
Mistral of poetry.

1 Air

Escaping body
Can not but break through earth's hoops
Earth's timeless breather

2 Zephyr

Healer of pained heart
Godly treat timely caress
Zealous choice mortals'

3 Wind

Fluty through leaves, reeds
Dusty roller clouding sky
Fair monsoon's friend best

Twist My Heart Again

Reached,
not yet pubescence:
a cloud says, moon was
crazy, treading on a
forbidden lake of frozen tears.

Breaking fast unto death
for releasing the doves
in sky of hymns.

The gametes were weary.
Procreation will wait.
Let the dark particles
start a ceremony of scoops
to carry the impatient twister
inside me,

to pull off the yokes and
set the flames free.

Dry Lake

Rain lurks
behind clouds
too thin
to send drops,
puddles,
surging waves.

flash floods go north,
to green Seattle,
easy landfall,
where no resistance is
ever given by
sandy bottom or
rocky shore.

There the ancient
desert lies
beneath tons
of breathless redwood,

Splinters

Self sent a twister
A tearin after me
Gonna bust my house to splinters yes
An take all thats dear to me
You say you saw it comin yeah
But still you did not flee
I was too weak I couldnt move
Held by growth of a tree
An yes I fell upon that rock
I did not die jus badly broken
An in time my healin it will come yeah
By the words that he has spoken
I fell upon that rock
Who is it now that loves you
Straight in the front door
An crooked out the back yeah
What is it now youre a slave to
On your knees out in your shack
I fell upon that rock yeah
Hes beyond the shadow

The Butterfly Effect

The Butterfly Effect

Foreword

An Adelpha Cytherea changed the cycle of events,
as she left the rotting tree and flew to ground.
Whereon she took her moisture, then she held her wings, so tense
that the swift, ensuing flap could cause, the weather to astound.
That lightest shift of molecules, that domino effect,
would end outside the realms of credulation.
As two tornados turned that day and came to intercept
the origin of what may be her lifetime meditation....
_______________
'A single snowflake caught her eye, as it fell from a cloudless sky
Drifting then lifting, then as one, undulating. She followed its path
as it searched for her tongue...'

_______________

I was that solitary snowflake, left to wanton winds' device

My grandmother was the greatest cook in the world. She could just go in there, the whole kitchen would look like a tornado hit it and then she'd come out with the best food. Then she'd sit at the table and she wouldn't eat!

Tornado Tornado

The buff flaunts his elements
in a dissenting voice.
Don’t go into the lake.
There were no survivors.

Stop kissing the moon
all night. Clouds were moving
away for the coronation
of the sun.

The windowpane was broken.
Somebody has jumped into
the audience for a
golden drink.

It was my abstract thought
to donate my grief to
unrelenting god who was always
sending a twister with daffodils.
