I have always been a trucker
I was raised on diesel fumes,
And I smoked two packs of Lucky's
From daybreak to afternoons,
While I ate at roadside diners
From a plate that swam in grease,
And I downed two mugs of coffees
In my cab, the one I leased.

My Big Mack, my eighteen-wheeler
I once drove through western plains,
Then I hauled hogs out of Denver
And I shuttled freight to Maine,
And I kept my eyes wide open
As I popped those purple hearts,

Strong winds come to stir and blow.
With it a mixture of ocean rain.
Could this be the season so soon,
Of those unpredictable tornados.
Could this be already,
The season to prepare for hurricanes?

Nashville sky, in the morning sun
Somewhere up north, a new life begun
He was drawn to the twister, with a Memphis sound
Kissed by an Angel, of a music town.
Jump a train from Chicago, trace it back

Summer days, where did you go,

Tornado In January!

major tornado damage here
in the western North Carolina
foothills last night!
up to fifty homes, and/or mobile
homes, damaged, or destroyed.
forty degree temps, and a tornado,
in January!
people left homeless, injured, and
lost everything they had... they
need our prayers, and our help!
we take so much for granted... we
complain about how hard things are...
and then you watch your neighbors
lose it all in an instant...
we need to be family, right here
and now... and to learn to be
thankful for the small things!

Travis The Terrible

This is an adorable little creature called Travis The Terrible
It lives in toys, trees, towers, and transformers
A Travis eats toads, trampolines, tornados and tomatoes
It likes trucks, ticks, tortillas, and tests
It tortures, teases, tricks, and treats
It took my television and with a twist turned it upside down just one of its little tricks.

Shine All Your Light

Here under heaven's eyes,
down under paradise,
sometimes it seems like we're so small.
Here on the shores that reach
into infinity,
how could we matter much at all?

Reached,
not yet pubescence:
a cloud says, moon was

forbidden lake of frozen tears.

The Butterfly Effect

Foreword

An Adelpha Cytherea changed the cycle of events,
as she left the rotting tree and flew to ground.
Whereon she took her moisture, then she held her wings, so tense
that the swift, ensuing flap could cause, the weather to astound.
That lightest shift of molecules, that domino effect,
would end outside the realms of credulation.
As two tornados turned that day and came to intercept
the origin of what may be her lifetime meditation....

My grandmother was the greatest cook in the world. She could just go in there, the whole kitchen would look like a tornado hit it and then she'd come out with the best food. Then she'd sit at the table and she wouldn't eat!

Tornado Tornado

The buff flaunts his elements
in a dissenting voice.
Don’t go into the lake.
There were no survivors.

Stop kissing the moon
all night. Clouds were moving
away for the coronation
of the sun.

The windowpane was broken.
Somebody has jumped into
the audience for a
golden drink.

to donate my grief to
