Quotes about handwashing, page 2
And So The Search Begins
he starts with an advertisement
wanted: a clean woman
neat down to the nails
of her toe
one who washes her hands
with chlorine
and gargles salt and vinegar
and munches mint
before kissing
in a line he sees
laundrywomen and washers
and babysitters
he closes the door
and wonders where is the clean woman
of her dreams
he dreams of the unicorn

Just Know About It
One hand washes the other,
But your potentials on this love are known to all;
So just think about it because i love you.
Low and slow,
Nice and easy,
Sweet and lovely;
Just know about it because i love you.

She Cries
Time passes quickly for our lady of the hour
She brushes her long blonde hair
From her face only to find a tear
But she dont know why shes been crying
She looks inside herself
To maybe find an answer
But shes willingly distracted
By the man who likes her glitter
She says, fool, I aint gold.
She dont even know she cries cuz shes so tangled up in lies
In her head she plays a game
Pretending that shes not the same lady who is cheating on her husband
With a man she hardly even knows
She says, ignorance is bliss.
But when he asks her name
She must fumble for an answer
Shes been called so many
But now she cant remember
So she just makes up another
And she dont even know she cries cuz shes so tangled up in lies

Blood on your hands sister
You said you loved him told him you cared
Promised him forever together
Instead you broke his heart into countless pieces
You drew tears of blood from the Prince of hearts
Hurt his pride with your insolent words
Blood on your hands sister
Blood on your hands
I saw the pain in his eyes
I felt the bitter tears that he cried
Kicked a man when he was down
You left him a broken man
Blood on your hands sister
Blood on your hands
From a loving giving sensitive Prince amongst men
You took your pleasure and stifled his laughter
You took your fill and threw him upon the scrapheap

Go With The Momentum
When I was a child I remember vividly,
This young woman reaching for sheets to hang...
In one of the community spaces used,
To hang and dry washed clothes.
And I wondered to myself,
While watching from our second floor three room apartment.
Shared by my sister and parents...
If those sheets hung,
Were hand washed.
'I like it.
This is a touching personal interest story,
We can introduce during the next debate.
And remember...
To look right into the camera,
As your lower lip begins to quiver.'
What about a tear?
Let me repeat it again.
With a tear at the end.

The Stain
they bury the bodies
in shallow graves....
never forgetting the faces
of hunger and need.
great planes flying overhead,
covered trucks on dusty roads.
soldiers with guns, blank stares,
cold as the oil in their veins....
the reporter speaks, eyes half lowered...
you turn off the tv,
and go to wash your hands...
but you cant wash away the stain!

Children's Party
May I join you in the doghouse, Rover?
I wish to retire till the party's over.
Since three o'clock I've done my best
To entertain each tiny guest. My conscience now I've left behind me,
And if they want me, let them find me.
I blew their bubbles, I sailed their boats,
I kept them from each other's throats. I told them tales of magic lands,
I took them out to wash their hands.
I sorted their rubbers and tied their laces,
I wiped their noses and dried their faces. Of similarities there's lots
Twixt tiny tots and Hottentots.
I've earned repose to heal the ravages
Of these angelic-looking savages. Oh, progeny playing by itself
Is a lonely little elf,
But progeny in roistering batches
Would drive St. francis from here to Natchez. Shunned are the games a parent proposes,
They prefer to squirt each other with hoses,
Their playmates are their natural foemen
And they like to poke each other's abdomen. Their joy needs another woe's to cushion it,
Say a puddle, and someone littler to push in it.

You always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me.
these are the most
abused word: the poor
and oppressed
the masses, the crowd
and mob,
the people, always in the name
of the people
for, by,
in,
how many crimes shall
be committed still
for, by,
in,
how many justifications are
built like bricks upon
a wall
a wall that walls us all out

Together Again
...hayeahhhh...
A red black beetle crawls over my feet
Its little steps tickle
It gives me the creeps
I wash my hands and I wash my face
A fresh summer breeze catches my hair and I say
...hayeahhhh...
...hayeahhhh...
Went long the river it was a red night
My teddy fell asleep
Closed his black button eyes
It was a red night when I walked on my own
When my teddy awoke theres one thing I knew - cause were
Chorus:
Together again
Yeah forever together
Your heart is my home
Together again
Yeah forever together
Your heart is my home

Waterborne love with Neptune’s Daughter
I’m goin’ wash you
right outa my hair
I’m goin ‘to wash you right outa’
this torrid affair,
I’m goin’ wash my hands
of you untrue
Once made my mouth water,
the likes of you,
You held my love like water
on a ducks back
You conniving water nymph
dressed in black,
Plying your waterborne love,
in you I did trust
Lying on your waterbed
goading my lust,
My God I knew this would
not hold water
Are you really the delinquent
Neptune’s daughter,

Do They Come Clean?
at the end of the day,
when we wash our hands,
do they come clean?
homeless people, young girls
sold on the block,
hungry children, AIDS victims,
gotta watch your stocks.
black and white, brown and red,
gunfire and poverty;
kids afraid to go to school,
aint no profit in honesty.
SUV's, invaded countries,
oil doesnt buy liberty.
the takers take, the hurting weep,
at the cost of dignity.
politicians lie, preachers sell

Soft Caramel
Take a young girl.
Fill her with ice and gin
shake it all up to make it androgynous
And return her to her family
Hello, hello, operator don't cut me off
Ah! how sad it is to be the king of animals,
Nobody says a word
Oh! Love is the worst of evils
Take a young girl,
Fill her with ice and gin
Put a slight drop of angostura on her mouth
I knew a man very unhappy in love
Who played Chopin's nocturnes on the drum
Hello, hello, operator don't cut me off
I was talking to....I was talking to the....hello, hello?
Nobody says a word.
—don't you find that art is a bit.....
We tell children wash your hands
We don't tell 'em wash your teeth.....

Hangmans Knee
(hopkins, beck, newman, stewart, wood)
Hangman, hangman, slack your noose
Slack it, oh slack it
Slack it for a while
There aint no use in your hurrying me
Aint nothing gonna change things now
Now I aint trying to prove your judge is wrong
And your jury, oh your jury
I guess Ill know the way out
And if you kill me with my canvas shirt
Good god, you could put my lawyer in jail
Listen
Its just this twenty two minutes to prepare yourself
I havent been in this position before
Wash your hands, get your .? .
Find the waistcoat, lock the door.
And oh!
Get your .? .
Oh yeah, get your .? . lock the door
Come on
