Quotes about Salvador Dali, page 2
Will you teach me-Hoceš li me nauciti
will you teach me the meaning of the dusk and dawn
and if I learn it will I be able
to set with the sun and dawn in the morn
hoćeš li me naučiti smislu sumraka i svitanja

Cyclic dance of the entrance (Nafaka)
a silk made fabric beyond the arch
like a scarf made of stars
the smell of the snow through October and the wind
the street I live in smells of bad perfume
the house I live carries a damp smell
the treetops my birds live in
shoke all of their nests
will there remain any trace
the graves will sing the way the cradles can?
a silk made fabric beyond the arch
like a scarf made of stars
will be torn by night?
the moon will start dancing beyond the arch
the dance of love and hate
pain and bliss
cyclic dance of the entrance
nad svodom tkanina svilena
ko marama satkana od zvijezda
brise pred sobom

Down 'n Brown in Darwin
Fil's birthday being early May
She threw an Easter party.
Everyone brought eggs.
The power went off,
The chocolate soft,
Dali-ed in its foil.
It flowed across the lino floor,
No-one could keep their legs.
'Down South will laugh out loud for sure.
Take photos, please! ' Fil begs.

Love kept her for a teacup
Love kept her for a teacup close to his lips
With both hands trembling on her hips
Her eyes they too were so love-in
That he pulled away at her silk napkin
She held him like he were a teaspoon
But he felt just like a great big baboon
His kisses were like rose water honey
Their bodies crumpled like a Dali oil limply…

Dream scape at night when you were not beside me
Time melts for sure you have seen
how Dali did it once tables float in air
hairs become rain and eyes
can be suns or moons in technicolor
skies like sweeping brooms made of
leafless branches of dead trees
in all these there is one horrible limitation
the soundless passing of images like
fog and mist and smoke and breaths

Šta tece sad
šta tece sad
pomisli rijeka
suznoga oka razjapljen slap
i kuda ide
i koga ceka
s ugaslog oka zapaljena kap
i s cim se miri
i za cim cezne
kad zamre u sjenci korita
i kojem bicu
dok duša grezne
sa mreže dlana misao cita
i koga sanja
i koga voli
i kojem izvoru žurno hrli
s ledom u srži
kada zaboli
mije li sebe

Dali znaesh mila majko
shto sum ne srekjna
Cel den doma sama sedam

Do you know, mother,
How unlucky I am?
All day I sit at home,
I am not allowed outside

The Doors And Windows
the windows would have been more beautiful
wider than the sea
and the doors
are as tight as the cracks
of the cliff so that
the thoughts may fly
and the secrets may find it
hard to escape
from themselves
mas nindot unta kon ang mga bintana
sama kalapad sa dagat
ug ang mga pultahan
sama kakipot sa mga liki
sa pangpang aron dali
ang paglupad sa hunahuna
ug lisod ang tinagoan sa pagpahawa

A Lightweight Ode to Ars
A Lightweight Ode to Ars
or A Not So Fauve Muse
Fernand Leger watching me
Bloats my limbs
But when Salvador Dali comes
He makes my edges flow.
And if Pablo Picasso shows up
My face looks
Like it hit the fan.
Of them all I adore most
Marcel Duchamp’s tongue.
He says I taste like
A cubed sashimi roll from
A fauve Rousseau beast.
A the roaring sound

The Glass/Č Aša
Would you have liked it if it had not been broken?
Who likes those smashed ones standing
At the edges of the tables made of pain
Who likes to put them together like pieces of a puzzle
Fill them with the water from their own fountain
Drink them to the bottom and smash them again?
Dali bi je volio da nije bila slomljena?
Ko voli one što skrhano stoje
Na ivicama trpeza od bola
Ko voli da ih ko slagalicu spoji
Napuni vodom sa svoga izvora
Ispije do dna i ponovo razbije?

Gidalidali, gadalidali aron way sakit
Gidalidali niya
Ang pagpananghid
Kanimo nga iya
Nang kuhaon ang
Iyang kasingkasing
Kay duna na
Siya lain
Gidalidali sad nimog
Langkat kay morag
Lahi na ang
Timpla sa iyang
Kampat
Mas lami man gud
Ang pagdalidali
Aron dili na
Mailhan kon kinsay
Nangilad
Ug kinsay

Gaba
Sa dihang molarga na unta
Namugos nga mokuyog gayod ang bana
Walay nahimo ang asawa
Sa dihang mogawas na unta sa baba
Sa barge ang bus nga ilang
Gisakyan gikan sa tiil sa Mukas
Hunong sa agtang sa Ozamis
Kalit lang mibuto ang bomba
Nga gitanom sa terorista
Sa lubot sa Rural Transit
Nga ilang gikatulgan
Nasunog ang tanan nga wala
Moambak sa dagat sa tumang
Kahikurat ug ang ilang mga matang
Nagsulirat wala gani tagad kapiyong
Sa dihang gidali dali silag kuha
Sa limbong sa kamatayon

Kabahin Sa Halangdong Kritiko
Kinahanglan pa bang silakan o pintalan ba hinuon?

Illumined Pleasure
The Horizon seems distant
The sense of theatricality embraces whole
The dwarf monkey
The grasshopper still longing in my mind
Swarm of civilized ghosts with stones on their head
Moving in chaos
Oh God!
Do you hear the firing of gun on the stone
Fierce and Flinch of childhood cling in my coat
Oedipal jealousy reverberate
Nothing is in oblivion
Why you hide your face
Why you stay alone
Everything is normal
In the Freudian hole
The tiger

Blue Islands
Nubian mermaids rise with ice eyes
Snow glares on tamarack and pines
Respite the glowing land of Neptune
Reverb the guitars without rules
Light and sound rejoice everywhere
Radiant notes on fire with moon glare
Prayer travels the stars everyday
Ships visit the distant Milky Way
Pause into an ancient corridor of Dali
Everything breathing under the gold sea
Being, smooth like a mountain rivers cry
Your clocks mean nothing to the sky
Have you seen the dolphins swim free
What is time without your dreams?
Bliss the rest of bold eternal wings
Blow free you joyful stardust winds
I feel the wondrous blue islands

The Refusal
On a wild midnight excursion,
I take a car ride in the trembling realm
Of illusions;
Thoughts scatter and fall apart.
Exiting on surreal rainy streets
Where time bends
Like in a Salvador Dali painting,
I think I could trace a perfume scent
Through a South American jungle
To find a gorgeous woman
With a missing earring
She left with me years before.
Love is a desperate child
Pounding at a closed door
That conceals his mother;
Only a relentless drive
Can keep beauty and romance alive
In the face of everyone’s willingness

Looking Thru the Divine Doors
Castles of Spain like Byron’s rhymes
Impulse of rising Goya’s soul
Waters as blue as serene saints
How the heart yearns for permanence
Fresco deeper than a bold sea
Picasso has left the vision of love
Firing squads trample the poetry
Dark colors in every ivory kiss
Matisse stands in the corridor
All resolution hidden in the doors
Red flag where women resurrect
Delacroix sees a new freedom
Sky is a great mystery lost in beige
Little do they know when rain rules
The earth is swept with storms
Joan Miró soft as fading memory
Dali as bold as brazen frozen sin
Alchemy of color like scattered poetry
Reality has many crevices

Where Am I Heading For?
i've gone to Ireland
stopped at the United Kingdom
slept in the Virgin Islands
and left U.S.A for good
after a week
of jet setting
there is no Disneyland
in me anymore
no Golden Bridge
nothing like Spring Flowers and
Autumn leaves
I search for summer somewhere
in South Africa
almost had the sting of
Salvador's Dali's interpretative
painting rendition
of what life has for me to offer
Got laid in Mexico
and had zip-less memories
in the train bound for Zurich
