Quotes about falling leaves
500 quotes about falling leaves.
One summer when the wind was strong
This is the place, now we are here again
I remember that summer when the wind was strong
And everything around us was dry,
The acacia trees towered and showered us with
Round leaves falling and falling and falling
Some birds were there and they flew away
Some cars were there and they speeded away
It was getting dark and it was a dry summer
We stayed there for a while when the leaves fell
Then we went under the trees not seeking shelter
But to catch those leaves falling and falling and falling
We are trying to feel again what falling was
We are here on this summer, we see the leaves

A Leaf Song (imitating V. A.)
the song of the
fallen leaf
remains on the
bank of the river
despite its
sojourn
in the heart of the
sea

What My Hand Is For
fallen leaf
at that moment when
you are
floating
and not having
tasted what
a rocky ground is
i have already
caught
you in my hand

Be gentle with the earth....
how many times
did i tell you to focus on the falling leaf
follow its way
when it finally lands
on the earth?
take that leaf
with your two hands
as though
it is your baby
and feel it closer
to your
breasts
sit on the grass
and look at all those
around you
do not talk,
feel.

What I Like Most About The Falling Leaves Of Autumn
i like most the sound of the falling leaves
of autumn
just right after we make love
when my eyes lay wide awake on the ceiling
my mind travels like a falling leaf
it is asking: what for? where? and why?
and then i hear the hazy sound of silence.

In spring and summer winds may blow
In spring and summer winds may blow,
And rains fall after, hard and fast;
The tender leaves, if beaten low,
Shine but the more for shower and blast
But when their fated hour arrives,
When reapers long have left the field,
When maidens rifle turn'd-up hives,
And their last juice fresh apples yield,
A leaf perhaps may still remain
Upon some solitary tree,
Spite of the wind and of the rain . . .
A thing you heed not if you see.
At last it falls. Who cares? Not one:
And yet no power on earth can ever
Replace the fallen leaf upon
Its spray, so easy to dissever.

The dry fallen leaves
on the ground, with wind

October is the fallen leaf, but it is also a wider horizon more clearly seen. It is the distant hills once more in sight, and the enduring constellations above them once again.

The Autumn Sing
Here’s the autumn sing…
A symphony from its falling leaf…
Catching the wind from a future winter…
Rolling through a shy light…
Oh autumn shall not die in winter…
As a promise summer will surely come….
Ah autumn is a second spring…
Not all could see, all leaf is flower….
Autumn warn a terrible winter phase….
No one listen, No one will hear it…
As it is only the sound of silence….
Who can hold an indefinite sound...?
No one embrace the autumn….
As it is only a sad phase…
It gives nothing but an autumn chill….
Spring always comes with a better glory…

Leaves (thread)
under the dogwood
leaves cover
a cat’s grave
early spring
one leaf still dangles
from the tree
palmistry
dew drops on a leaf
pick a vein
widow’s diary
pressed rose petal
the last leaf
with the rain drops
leaves flutter to the ground
fall showers

Leaves of Glory
Through fallen leaves of glory on a fog-drenched path
She stands above them with everything she has
Living before the smolder of her own ashes
And desperately trying to be the one who surpasses
Sometimes she falls behind, sometimes it wears on her mind
But someday she will find the way to cross those lines
She will rise from her ashes like a phoenix reborn
Soaring above the trees who dropp their leaves of glory, and so stand torn
Sometimes she fails to look forward and glances behind
The pangs of regret try to fog her mind
But she's too strong to let them go
She holds on as fallen leaves crush beneath her toes
'Cause this girl is a flourishing rose
And above fallen petals of glory, she will always grow

The Fallen Star
I am like the fallen wish
So lonely as a fallen star
My bed a pool of tears I cry
Alone! ' I cry myself to sleep
'Alone I am with me!
Lonely in a world of mist
Alone, I reach to touch your wrist
And see if I am thee.’
To be alone beside a soul
Afloat, adrift; an empty ghoul
Alone in woe; the yearning flesh
To fill a thin, contorted mesh
Diffuse atop an icy floor
All alone I am alone
Too much stare much nightmare
Only thee walls
Can speak and share
loneliness a disease

Bridge, The
I once
as a young boy
stood on a little
wooden country bridge;
tip-toed to look at
the languid moving water
Tomorrow popped up -
the wind that had blown in
tore off a leaf from
a tall standing tree
roots entrenched
by the water's edge
and this leaf
wafted and fluttered
and glided into the
current below
taken bodily
where gravity pulls

Death is a washout.
Once you are dead,
You are the yesterday’s paper.
The hot news is forgotten.
Once you are dead
You are the fallen leaf.
No speck of green is found.
Fortunately you will not be there
To witness and weep.

The Fallen Leaves
I.
WE stand among the fallen leaves,
Young children at our play,
And laugh to see the yellow things
Go rustling on their way:
Right merrily we hunt them down,
The autumn winds and we,
Nor pause to gaze where snow-drifts lie,
Or sunbeams gild the tree:
With dancing feet we leap along
Where wither'd boughs are strown;
Nor past nor future checks our song--
The present is our own.
II.
We stand among the fallen leaves
In youth's enchanted spring--
When Hope (who wearies at the last)
First spreads her eagle wing.
