Theodora Onken about time

Time~

Time waits for no one
Tick tocking itself along
Even measured seconds
Morphing into minutes
Minutes into hours
Into days, months
And, yes years;
Where did it all?
Down the drain?
Much like the water
Draining in the sink...
This sink that we call life
This sink that once held it all...
The sink, my sink, once full now empty
Down the drain
Kind of like my life;

Clock

The clock, it tells a story-
One look at its tired face-
And a glimpse of both of its hands-
Why those seconds, just simply race...

Tick tocking its continued sounds-
Reminding us that time simply flies-
No it does not sprout feathered wings-
Nor take to the azure-blue skies...

But it moves nonetheless-
And with each day that passes away-
We are another day older-
And out of our youth-filled May...

Out of our heated July...
Rapidly, the clock, it simply ticks away-
Out of the falling leaves of our October-
Into Decembers white-ice chilled days...

Awaiting June~~~

The mourning doves run rife through the Mimosa
While a deluge of California sun beats down
Everywhere is getting acquainted with somewhere
While the bougainvillea leave their fingerprints all around;
Messengers are still a little invisible-
As many a blind eye might attest--
Windows of Springtime sunsets prevail
Surviving the mountains out west;
The in between of the seasons is nearing...
Awaiting in the trails- is the sizzling of June-
Bathing itself in warmth, a bit early, is May
Impatient for that perfect Summer Moon;
So here's to the Seasons of flowers and the shore
The woodlands and mountains so high
Spectators to the greenhouses of seasons & mighty sea
Welcoming all with a most longing sigh;
Two seasons dancing together...
Near to the riverbanks are the Pheasant and Quail
Past experience has truly taught us
That Sun and Blue Sky oft' times prevail;

Living Off Of Memories

I am living off of memories--
Just wasting my time....
The hours pass into days...
And there is no reason nor rhyme;

Blue skies have gone missing-
Replaced by dark grey--
The Sun has taken its leave---
And the night has replaced day;

Springtime no longer exists-
All the blossoms are withered and dry--
Summer times brillance...
For me has just died;

I am living of of memories--
Just wasting my time...
The hours pass into days
There is no reason nor rhyme;

Stems

Empty hours accumalate -
And take over;
Nothing ventured and definately-
Nothing gained...
Critical minute blown away in --
Idle contemplation...
While 'Rules Of Thumb' are busy twiddling;
While the clocks tic has now regained its tock...
And happier days are -
Even further away;
At one time-our life-
Was like a Merry-Go-Round...
Circlling-the proverbial 'Brass Ring';
Brazen to haughty...
Where nothing -
Or no one could-
Disturb our daily lives-
Which were-
Lived just under the-
Guise of permissable;

Void

I closed the doors to the Seasons
Leaving time void of any change
Leaving the Earth in solid limbo
Putting tomorrow out of range
Bringing a silent closing-if you will
A stillness to a barren view
I closed the door to all Seasons
Leaving nothing old-nothing new
Just an empty cavern-like abyss
A swirling of nothingness remains
Blank views are my past and present visions
Nothing will ever be the same!

~Soul's Quest~

I do believe that i have waited
All of my life-
For words so tantilizing sweet-
The sound of hearts beating
So close
To one another-
'Tis a life complete!
And wide open Soul's-
Beneath the Love-
Expressed-
A million years-
In one second-
That passes-
And stills the sound-
And radiates heavenly-
The aroma-pheromones!
And knowing-
But not really knowing-
For sure-
We're bound...

Full Circle

Beginning 'neath the late Summer moonlight-
Embraced in the leaves of Fall...
Awed by Winter time and icy places...
But reponding to the Springs south wind call;

Lips tempting more to come...
Over the past months of weathered time...
Verging on passions filled Summer fire once again-
Ending in loves most perfect rhyme;

Dedicated to: The Passage of Seasons and Times In Our Lives;
To remembrance and Debbie Harry -Blondie and her songs-Call Me, One Way Or Another, Heart Of Glass and to her amazing performance on The T.V. Land Awards this evening.
April 25,2010. Thank you all for taking us on a walk down memory lane.

In Making Up For Lost Time

We are as a heated sauna...

...Your lips and mine are one

...Drenched in the sensual ambience...

...Hotter than Noon day Sun;

Sweltering dalliance upon the teak bench...

...Your arms they reach for mine

...Grasping mine as if to never let go...

...Pinned down my hands in lost time;

Time Changes Everything

Across the mountains of once believed...
Where Good Shepherds Lead Their Flock-
I found a sweetheart residing there-
Who ignored the hands of the clock;

Over the mountains of Majesty...
Under the skies deep paisley blue-
I found a sweetheart residing there-
Who promised to love me true;

Leaving me nary a broken heart...
Painting rainbowed dreams inside of my head...
Leading me down the path of no return...
Into the Garden Of Love I was led;

Once in the ecstacy of this floral dream-
We wrapped ourselves into: 'One'
Embracing one another as no other...
Under Edens most heated Sun;

Treasure N Time

O' treasure of my heart simply linger...
Where sweet memories have gone astray
For, i need desperately to see your image-
Through these lost neurons of yesterday;

Your absence leaves such an abyss
Nothing to grasp in this void called living
I am dying a thousand little deaths daily...
No return for the love i am giving;

Treasure of my heart remind me
How to be ever so humble in my need
Splash your image 'cross my psyche
I shall follow where ever you lead;

I have missed you ever so deeply...
And my hours are filled with unending fears-
The clock of life 'tis ticking rapidly
The second hand 'tis spent with my tears;

C. Bledsoe: In Remembrance

Eighty years old plus a week and three days
Today your suffering is finally through
Leaving behind-your sweet Carmen
But soaring through the Heavens Divine wisps of blue;

It was eight months of horrific suffering
But guess that God needed you more up there
So loved upon this Earth from the moment of your birth
Still loved-although you are no longer here;

God Bless You-Sweet Cecil-God Bless You
You will be missed and to that we all can attest
For you were so loved-blessed by our God above
Quite simply-you were one of Gods very best! ;

June 16,2010 at 6: 00 P.M.
Rest In Peace.
Dedicared to C. Bledsoe
And for his sweet Carmen

MoonStruck

Moments became true seconds
As days moved themselves along
Into clearer skies and rainbows
Emitting a multi-coloured spectrum view
Back-so far back in time
To Washington State and you;

Tonight the sky casts its star beams
Telling reminders of way back then
Of a Galaxy of maybes and why nots
Of why we never did begin?
Its my Moonstruck reverie come calling
Counting the months and the years
Knowing of our deep attraction unrequited
At last closing my eyes to past tears;

Amber Mist

An imigrant of Dawn, i rise-
I search the roses and trees for thee-
Comes Spring and Summer joy of Love-
Where warmer shadows hide the last freeze...

A sanctuary of green paints itself free-
Comes the dusks past twilight all-
The brick wall with Autumns climbing ivy-
With two mysteries remaining-
The Amber Mist and Black Rose Of Fall...

Answers are not forthcoming-
Insidious and hidden in times past-
The seasons of blustering winds comes calling-
All leaves from the trees are cast...

Succumbing in days to the chill-
The Amber Mist and Black Rose decay-
Irrevelant now in this day and time-
For Winter White has gotten his way...

Reflections

I am a silhouette
In the mirrors of your mind
The scent of a woman
Upon silken sheets sublime;

I come to you in silence
For a season with passion defined
Leaving you with my fragrance
Of once upon a Spring time;

Peretti's Dreamer

Reality bites with its wicked sharp teeth
Yet, another day of emptiness spent
Eating me alive with its caustic erosion
Each moment- another hour despondent;
The Sound looks so vast these days
It dwarfs Bainbridge and Vashon Islands green
Loving you all these years has been fathomless at times
Even though this depth has been unseen;
The Emerald City cries your name
The Evergreen States knows we are not one
Should it have been? And why wasn't it?
Questions, i ask when day is done;
A fortune in time has been spent in loving you
Far away and forever gone from me?
Surely you must have felt it over the years

Alas, as Puget Sound-your destination-The Sea;

A Day in the Fast Lane

Wait a minute
What was this day about?
Going by so swiftly
Like a sail in the sun
Hurried day passages
Flowing into evening's
Gentle whisper's
Time for repose
And gentle reflection
Discussion
Rallying debates
And soft recollections
Collections of the days
Import
Of moments spent
In life altering turns
And acceptance
From far-away Souls

Never mind

I Colour My World

Within the colours of this day--
I find myself recounting the days gone by...
Cherishing every blessed memory...
While gazing at the sky upon high;

I colour myself a warm shade of pink...
As i reminisce over past glorious time...
I colour myself red-with a love memory-in my head-
All collected together and written in rhyme;

I colour myself various shades of blue...
In remembering the loss and sorrows of my past...
That took a large part-of my heart...
These memories ever-engrained to last;

I colour my memories a bright yellow...
As i bask in reminders of my days 'neath the sun...
Happiness back then-and the where and the when...
All-a multi-shade of ONE!

Mornings Ecstacy

Night and blue stars in a silver galaxy-glimmer
Soon swirls of golden eddies mark the way
Daylight bathes her in brightest sunlight
'Tis a velvet- soft musk- filled day;
Her window on the world -pulses
Morning dances in- raising the east
Clocks tick in- time mounting
While her kitchen of creation prepares a feast;
The birds announce morn's arrival
The roosrter cocka-doodle-doo's his call
Waking her 'neath beams of sunshine- shimmering
Nearest to the ivy's -climbing wall;
Making her home in natures green vale
A bucholic Lamb- enhanced bed
Emerald blades of grass-dew tipped glitter glistening
All the while- ecstacy resonates inside her head;

To Be Or Not To Be? (You Came, You Saw, You Conquered?) ?)

Near Winter solitude exudes reflections
Through the windows of time, i peer
Remembering the Sparrows Song
It is their sweet melody i hear;
Tomorrow is yet a question mark
Somewhere is still just a dream
Forgotten are all past day of days
And their deepest darkest scheme's;
Truths are all Hale and hearty-Today
As the Tom turkey roasting still
Hungering for it's stuffing of sage
Hoping that we get our Fill;
Life is just a tapestry-my friend
Of misfortune, ill intent and surprise
Of happiness, love and gratitude
Of Time and how it flies;
Make Today the answer: 'To All'
At last put to rest all of the Night
Cut the ill Will for you've had your fill
Embrace this, the First Day, of new found Light;
