A beautiful painting-Monet-
Hangs upon walls of yesterday

Empty
I miss you so very much-I miss you- I truly do-
In the hours and days that are empty of your sweet smile...
Where silence echos against the walls and the walls echo only you-
I miss you so very much-I miss you so-I truly do;
Gathering up my memories-Gathering up all of my memories of you...
Arranging them all alphabetically-Alphabetically, i do-
In the silence where emptiness echos-It echos of all that is true...
I gather up my memories-Sweet memories-My memories of you;

Broken Heart Road
Well-its down the road of broken dreams-
Ima' travelin' on my way...
Goin' down the backroads of emptiness...
Past the street corners of yesterday;
Memberin' your sweet smile...
And your oh so gentle touch...
Missin' all of you and words once true-
Missin' you-oh so much;
Its down the road of broken dreams -
Ima' travelin' on my way...
Goin' down the back roads of emptiness...
Past the street corners of yesterday;
Lost and so alone ima' travelin'...
On a journey longer than forever-
Memberin' you and i and wonderin' why...
Our together ended in stormy weather;

Born Again
It goes with me in Eternal Belief-
The greatness of your Immortal Hand...
You who created this Universe and ALL...
You who 'tis poised tall in Divinitys Stand;
For without your molding and shaping...
Your revision of my shell of clay...
I'd surely be lost to the fires slaughter...
Burned in Eternal Fires of Hells yesterday;
Saved me you did one day passed yesterday...
A quarter of a century 'tis not so very long--
Spent it trying to live up to your commandments and Grace...
Spent it trying to undo my oh so many wrongs;
Today- i thank you my sweet Savior for finding-
This torn and oh so lost Soul of my yesterday...
Forgiven of past sin-allowed to begin once again...
Forever indebted-a child of God-i am this day;

Treasure N Time
O' treasure of my heart simply linger...
Where sweet memories have gone astray
For, i need desperately to see your image-
Through these lost neurons of yesterday;
Your absence leaves such an abyss
Nothing to grasp in this void called living
I am dying a thousand little deaths daily...
No return for the love i am giving;
Treasure of my heart remind me
How to be ever so humble in my need
Splash your image 'cross my psyche
I shall follow where ever you lead;
I have missed you ever so deeply...
And my hours are filled with unending fears-
The clock of life 'tis ticking rapidly
The second hand 'tis spent with my tears;

Here Today
Our ride
Through life
Is short
At best
Choices made
Do count
Moments lived
Savored
Memories made
Golden
Embraced in
The gilded
Frames of time
Honored vestiges
Of Era's of
Yesterday
And today
That are too
Soon gone
Reflections play

Mister Ed
It was brought to our attention yesterday-
Because to us it pertains...
Your poetry or lack of words...
Have-indeed-left many stains;
And an impression on some: 'in the know'...
Who deemed we should be told...
So glad that we have true friends out there...!
'Cause this world is getting really cold;
Now keeping track of words you've said or blank pages-
In a hyperion sorta way...
A horse is a horse of course-
And the scars we bear are from yesterday! ;
The Garden Of Eden is gone in your world (Blacked Out)
While July third is still a mystery...
But its been brought to attention and received questionable mention...!
'Frankly'-it may go down in the annuls of history! ;

I Colour My World
Within the colours of this day--
I find myself recounting the days gone by...
Cherishing every blessed memory...
While gazing at the sky upon high;
I colour myself a warm shade of pink...
As i reminisce over past glorious time...
I colour myself red-with a love memory-in my head-
All collected together and written in rhyme;
I colour myself various shades of blue...
In remembering the loss and sorrows of my past...
That took a large part-of my heart...
These memories ever-engrained to last;
I colour my memories a bright yellow...
As i bask in reminders of my days 'neath the sun...
Happiness back then-and the where and the when...
All-a multi-shade of ONE!

~Growing Old? ~
A Look Back To Now...
Basking in the New
Spring Sun
Knitting needles
Construct the weave
Drinking Cristal
Toast's de-jour
As this day prepares
It's leave
I lay my weary head
Down
And breathe in the
Elixir's of Spring
Enchantment decree's
In effervescent degree's
What a nature filled
Ambience it brings
For i have lived a life-

Maybe i could...
Summer sun conjures up memories of youth
And an equation of two like minds
Fractions of loving moments spent
Warm embraces defined;
Maybe i could consider you...
If the Spring of youth could return
If my years allowed new blossomings
If our long ago Summers could again burn;
But we have gone long past those days
Where deluges of passionate hours ruled
We've sailed through the burnished of Autumns
And our Winter 'tis no fool;
But the sun still conjures up memories
Even though the air, too soon, turns to ice
Remembrance 'tis forever Golden
It warms on these chilly Winter nights;

A WayFarer
The cliffs are the edges of paper--
That time has torn away...
Eroded rock-solid paper...
Jagged reminders of yesterday;
Once a diary of stone-hearted entries--
Surfaced as hardened clay...
But worn away from the Springtime downpours...
And collapsed in Wayfarers Bay;
Pages and pages of dogeared cliffs...

Memories Mirror
It was the in's and out's
Of your inuendo's
Your heated breath
Near my ear
It was the moist silver
Tongue of your promise
That reflect's now
In my memories mirror

Living Off Of Memories
I am living off of memories--
Just wasting my time....
The hours pass into days...
And there is no reason nor rhyme;
Blue skies have gone missing-
Replaced by dark grey--
The Sun has taken its leave---
And the night has replaced day;
Springtime no longer exists-
All the blossoms are withered and dry--
Summer times brillance...
For me has just died;
I am living of of memories--
Just wasting my time...
The hours pass into days
There is no reason nor rhyme;

Yesterday And Today
Trapped in the alley ways of yesterday--
Sheets of fog cover up my flaws...
Protected by the Winter of Cold Indifference--
Where doubt and fear once bore their ugly claws;
In a labyrinth of charcoal grey conundrums...
I breathe in my past once and again---
Wondering where my truth has run off to...
Fleeing all the way- back to then;
'Neath a canopy of: 'Might Have Beens'...
Not pursuing them to the end---
Anxiety obliterates all of my coverings...
Totally disabled my ability to mend;
Underneath The Umbrellla

Together Again?
Blazing past the perimetters of yesterday-
Into a valley of new possibilities...
We are back together electronically;
Across the computer we fuse;
The beats of my heart become yours.
In e-mails of trust-we lust...
Caught up in a quagmire of impossiblities...
Heated sensibilities become frustrated...
Realizing our longings will never come to fruition...
As they blaze across the airways-
From East To West and back-
Yes, we are together again-
If only in our dreams mon amour;

Times A' Tickin'
Its half past forever...
And i'm wastin' no more time--
I gotta get through...
Your reason and your rhyme;
Gotta make sense--
Of the things that you do--
Gotta find answers...
To the enigma thats you;
Its half past forever--
And i'm wastin' no more time--
I gotta get through...
Your reason and your rhyme;
Gotta try to understand...
Why your heart is so cold--
Gotta find out...
Before i get too old;

All Is One? ? ? (A Cold Case Solved)
Collective guilt tallies it's members...
Peruses over their years of past energies
Hops a memory flight back to Seattle
And concludes that their gooses might be cooked! ;
Fear makes them scurry...
Dumping all of the DNA and other evidence in their local landfill;
Covering over the beaten path they all walked...
Disinfecting the newspapers archives
In the needful hope of remaining incognito;
The headmaster still makes all of the calls.
She has her degree in Justice...
Oh so sure all of these years that her
Black robe would keep her lily white;
Unfortunately for her-her name surfaced a long while ago! ! !
Tied in with my April Showers & past Big Birds-
Merry-go-rounds with brass rings & Emily Dickinson;
Recalling: 'Pops beauty queen, perhaps no prude
But words were cutting' and
The proverbial Vic and Marion of yesterday...
When a puppet was a thing on a string-me! ! !

Yesterday-Today-And tomorrow
I remember you from yesterday
Your warm smile and baby blue eyes
I remember the touch of your hand
And how when you left me, i cried;
***********Chorus*********************
Been countin' on my sweet memories
To carry me through today
Been countin' on all my wishes
To make you come back my way...
*************************************** *
Today the reality is so very sad
Together, you and i were everythin'
A compliment to one another, we were darlin'
A love as fresh as the Spring;
Chorus
I am left wonderin' 'bout tomorrow

Garden Wall
The ivy 'tis climbing the Olde Garden Wall...
Leaving green memory not too far behind--
While the later zephyrs of Summer dance ever near...
'Tis a perfect picture out of days past time;
Oh-the Golden of memories-sweetest...
How it plays iteself in my minds eye...
Gentle surrender-in Loves Garden-tender...
'Neath a canopy of Summer Blue sky;
Paint me a picture again won't you?
Make it verdant and blossomed anew--
Give it the peace and serenity so needed--
Brush stroke perfect again-my loving moments with you;

Eastland County Flowers
Serene moments pacify
Gentle breeze whispers: 'I am here'
Feather white clouds move above
...I can feel your presence so near
Though gone from my eyes of reason
...A bit blinding by passages of time
Yet sensations come bounding back
Still in my heart, you are mine
Never to relinquish past memories
...For they are locked inside of me
Feelings, i yet embace, this day
Only prove that we are eternity
Everlasting flowers, not as most others
That bud and bloom, then wilt over time
We are simply and truly forever
...So perfectly permanent in my mind
