Baylitz's Wife And A Game Of Chess
Baylitz's wife served you snacks and booze
while you played chess in the lounge
at the small table set aside for games
and you watched her come and go
the swaying of her hips
the well crafted thighs
beneath the dress
the way her hands held the tray
her eyes green as emeralds
searching you as she laid it down
watch your bishop
Baylitz said
but in your imagination
you were already undressing his wife

Sexiness, particularly in movies, is the chess game in the 'Thomas Crown Affair'. It's, it's, I don't know, but Faye Dunaway comes up a lot in that thinking. It's the subtlety of sexiness. The moment you try to be sexy, then it's not.

One cannot play chess if one becomes aware of the pieces as living souls and of the fact that the Whites and the Blacks have more in common with each other than with the players. Suddenly one loses all interest in who will be champion.

An Easter Song
a chess to be played
victories and losses
to be taken
like gentlemen
the game is his
an ultimate plan
to make us gentlemen
of the best kinds
like how he gives
himself to us
on the Cross
a pain, a loss,
an eternal joy
a perfect gentleman

Pride Games
we've been waiting here
for far too long
stuck at a standstill
stubborn checkmate
finally,
crumbling,
the pride chips off icy face
falls to the dust in a defeated heap
i turn
-your eyes alight
sensing final victory
meaningless in reality
yet you breathe more easily
stand taller now, importantly
but you're the one who still can't sleep
replaying battles in your dreams
obsessively repeating memories
-you wear your pride on your sleeve
while mine runs deep
mine runs deep

She felt like a chess player who, by the clever handling of his pieces, sees the game taking the course intended. Her eyes were bright and tender with a smile as they glanced up into his; and her lips looked hungry for the kiss which they invited.

G.H. Tribute
The quiet intensity of a weeping
sound and shiver whose refrain is missing
they don't know mildness
they forgot, they left it behind, a queen chess
this wounded love image of a fall
while knights eclipse with the owl's call
in half-light their stone

In search of the perfect chess mate
Embedding new rules in a new arrangement and having a new strategy
The white king is driving the opposing king to the wrong corner, for being controlled by the bishop.
The white king is very rich.
He takes seemingly worthless properties from his own people
And turns them into his own properties,
Defending a system which has enslaved and still exploits.
And he gladly tries to see himself as a great hero, thinking how smart and clever he is,
Because he can encounter the Dark Essence.
His citizens become blind and very poor...
The black king has the power, he has respect for the private property
And rights of people to freely acquire and use property..
In his kingdom there are people who are rich and there are people who are very rich..
But the black king is blind...
The bihop gets greedy, day by day, because his two cards are identical,
And he may split the cards into two hands,
And his two hands can be played out independently.

I see myself more as an ambassador of the game. And I hope to bring chess to a higher level in the United States. Making bigger tournaments, more interesting events. Making it a respectable profession for young people to be able to pursue in the future.

You sit at the board and suddenly your heart leaps. Your hand trembles to pick up the piece and move it. But what chess teaches you is that you must sit there calmly and think about whether it's really a good idea and whether there are other, better ideas.

It's less about the physical training, in the end, than it is about the mental preparation: boxing is a chess game. You have to be skilled enough and have trained hard enough to know how many different ways you can counterattack in any situation, at any moment.

Once Upon a Time Words
The art of Dance, poetry in motion,
Poetry is the art of once upon a time words
Metaphorically painted in the mind
By a poets notions of love and nature's wonder.
The magic poetic symphony of words in a poem is
Placed by the genius akin to a chess master.

Whispering Sparrows
The native walls
were hounding me-
out of game.
I was playing chess with god.
Was stoned to death.
A small boy’s arm
was crushed.
He stole a bread.
What was the truism
of unheard voices?
Groping in green darkness
I was watching
the lethal plunge of man.

Man with a vision! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Child, its late, are you awake?
Ill pull up quilt and just fake.
He would walk away saying no hurry.
It’s bright and sunny but not to worry.
Oh, it’s his weekly off day.
I thought as I quietly lay.
He loved the family up and around.
House filled with laughter’s sound.
He was a man with vision,
And quietly on a mission.
Today I fondly reminisce
It’s been long since
Heard him recount his life
And how he met his wife.
A woman of substance,
Who learnt classical dance

Walking On The Edge
Music :rudolf schenker
Lyrics:klaus meine
Welcome to a trip
Into my hurt feelings
To the center of my soul
You better bring a light
To find the house of meanings
In the labyrinth of yeas or no
For you, life is just like chess
If you dont make a move
Youll lose the game like this
Cause you, youre walking on the edge
You, you chose the way of love and pain
You, dont you see the bridge
Ive built for you, its just one step to start again
Welcome to a trip
Into my emotions
To the language of my heart
Youre sailing on a river
That becomes an ocean

There was one point in high school actually when I was on the chess team, marching band, model United Nations and debate club all at the same time. And I would spend time with the computer club after school. And I had just quit pottery club, which I was in junior high, but I let that go.

To The Lucky Quill-Feathered Poets Of MAC-PC Yore
When I think of all the seconds I drubbed my fingers
On the skin of long-drummed typefaces to wipe spam
Away from the screen of my inboxes in my computers
I wonder how many years of my life drift as flotsam
So many sales pitches tail in mouth in epizeuses
String their tuneless spiralling from end to no-end
Swim in the swirling soup strings of multiverse oases
Lost as jetsam into a blacksucked bottomless oven
A spam is a foe who seeks to con you as an old friend
Sure don't mean that old spiv driveling over your girl
But who'll make you think you're good for a lend
While he seeks to worm your hard disc in a whirl
McPeesee McCoffee McMoney or McMaster Kasparov
Spam is the Checkmate King none of us can fend off

Counting Hearts
I guess…
We x-ray hearts differently
Pints, love, pity, bangs and chess
No conscience walking confidently
Blue stained red and black as an awful dress
Bad versus evil, good is knocked out completely
Plunges, blood stained, wet grasses in sour vex
Burdens, sorrow chipped correctly
Poison arrows, bands and clamps make life a mess
Emotions not drawn from senses sniffs deadly
Curie might have started the problem, but who will end this dance which seems endless
And the clay He would smash and start off again coldly
Mother, this world is for counting hearts
Not your game to say checkmate
The frog roars, the bird howls, what louder noise my mate makes?
Till everyone's funeral is in their diary up to date
Coarse hands yank life far away in deaths
Of countless, stubborn, stiff and cold hearts in a suitcase
Whence does music calm troubled breasts?
But frenzy all tied up for theirs to use

Checkmate!
I’ve pride in the work
I’ve done and will do…
But who are you?
Too take that away, from me.
Your knights might…
Encroach upon the field of play.
But my king rules over me
And darling you!
You’ll see… You’ll see…
You’ll see…
With a shield of ice
Win or lose…
It’s all the same to me.
A game of dice!
“Loaded for the best chance
A checkerboard
Wherever I move he too does advance

I just don't know
Oft times it seems to me, a maze
A puzzle of a life deploying
I’m not yet lost in life’s hindering haze
I just don’t know where I’m going
Chimeric choices, perplexing places
Devisive devices, puzzlingly annoying
I’m not yet lost in life’s repetitive races
I just don’t know yet, where I’m going
Seems an arcane game, with no obvious answer
checkmate and stalemate keeps hope from bouying
I’m not lost in life’s ballroom, I’m simply a dancer
And I just don’t know yet…where I’m going
If you've figured it out
you could save me much toiling
I'm not really lost, yet could you just give me a shout
and tell me where it is that I'm going
