Who Is Afraid Of The Fading Of The Yellows And the Greens
WHO IS AFRAID OF THE FADING OF THE YELLOWS AND GREENS
Who is afraid of the fading of the yellows and greens
of this park’s long summer evening?
Who is afraid of the moon come to replace the sun?
And the lights going slowly to their own longer darkness?
Near its end life is afraid of life
Beautiful still and waiting,
For the end which will inevitably come.

Teeth sensitive to the sand
Teeth sensitive to the sand
in salad greens--
I'm getting old.

Apple Tree
Violet apples, on the tree hutch
The juicy shine,
Embarrassed at the sun touch,
The golden and greenish leafs,
hold the air, that breeze flattery
while fall dead, ferment.
The birds drunk sang.

The Green Woods Of Truagh
In the green woods of Truagh we met without fear,
Your kiss on my lips, and your voice in my ear,
Your tender arms about me, and your eyes glad and clear–
Ochón, the Green Woods of Truagh!
In the green woods of Truagh the days go on wings,
On every brown branch a gladsome bird sings
And the fragrant amber blossom of the honey-suckle swings–
Ochón, the Green Woods of Truagh!
In the green woods of Truagh the bracken stands high,
And wells of spring-water in deep hollows lie,
And the red deer is browsing in the cool shadows nigh–
Ochón, the Green Woods of Truagh!
In the green woods of Truagh no sorrow dared stay,
The lark called me early at dawn o' the day,
And o'er my sleep at night pleasant dreams used to play–
Ochón, the Green Woods of Truagh!

The Beautiful Changes
One wading a Fall meadow finds on all sides
The Queen Anne's Lace lying like lilies
On water; it glides
So from the walker, it turns
Dry grass to a lake, as the slightest shade of you
Valleys my mind in fabulous blue Lucernes.
The beautiful changes as a forest is changed
By a chameleon's tuning his skin to it;
As a mantis, arranged
On a green leaf, grows
Into it, makes the leaf leafier, and proves
Any greenness is greener than anyone knows.
Your hands hold roses always in a way that says
They are not only yours; the beautiful changes
In such kind ways,
Wishing ever to sunder
Things and Thing's selves for a second finding, to lose
For a moment all that it touches back to wonder.

She Loves.
Love follows her,
when engulfs her
the pondered hatred,
he gives out
from her sowed poison.
Green Earth's greenness,
can't give rest to
the green eyes' wrath.
She takes the axe,
but before cutting its
branches she dies
thousand deaths.
Axe lies on jobless ground.
Drops of water,
rains from her
spellbound pairs
of crystal ponds.
For the second time,
she starts loving him.

Mulling It Over
For other sides
and greener grass
my mule decides
to be an ass.

From A Train
Green and green; and evergreen
in my all, and scurrying
in flickered films
of glimpses, painted green...
and a car in the lane silently shimmers,
as I hear the morning swaying past trees that,
green over green,
silently guard the wet summer sadness,
where cattle stare at the hopping rooks
and do not know
of the things that have been...
or care.
Cloudly and bright:
passing the green.
Where, in my remembrance of once long ago,
I felt the mist
rising unseen from the grass
that was green between green
when we kissed.

Summer in the South
The Oriole sings in the greening grove
As if he were half-way waiting,
The rosebuds peep from their hoods of green,
Timid, and hesitating.
The rain comes down in a torrent sweep
And the nights smell warm and pinety,
The garden thrives, but the tender shoots
Are yellow-green and tiny.
Then a flash of sun on a waiting hill,
Streams laugh that erst were quiet,
The sky smiles down with a dazzling blue
And the woods run mad with riot.

The Magic Of The Green And Blues
The magic of the green and blues, a view
Turtle doves in flight in purple night, they flew
Tragic plight a fight, now imagine me its true
Green and blue, blue and green
No matter to you but to me
The blue is woe and envy is green
It has to be, this way it seems, to me
Did I fall, commit a crime or lie, no
But miss misery makes my eyes glow
Through the blues and greens
A future is foreseen, by my eyes but for me
I stand tall above you all and truth I see
The magic of the green and blues, a view
Turtle doves in flight in purple night, they flew
Tragic plight a fight, now imagine me its true

The unsung death
Once there were singing birds with me.
Then it was my spring.
Then there were perching birds with me.
Then it was my summer.
Then there were pecking birds with me.
It was my autumn.
Now there are woodpeckers with me.
It is my winter, the end.
Those who know my greens will not be there
To sing my glory in the funeral.
Those who would be present at funeral,
Haven’t seen my greens to sing.

How Many Shades Of Green
HOW MANY SHADES OF GREEN
How many shades of green
Olive green
Dark green
Light green
Yellow green
How many shades of yellow
Deep yellow
Rose yellow
Sun yellow
Morning light yellow
How many shades of light
How much light
How much Beauty in the world
How much Light-
How much- God.
