I Miss The Beach

I miss everything about the beach from the sands between my toes to the mighty sound of the ocean crashing against the rocks; it is there where I found my serenity.

I miss the sun raise to the sun fall at the beach, where its true colors have this wonderfully glow right at the point of when the sun touches the water.

I miss the smell of the salted water when the wind blows, I miss the way the sun feels when it caress my face, it has this magical warmth.

I miss the beach from the family fun to the just one on one in the sun, it reminds me of what home feel like, I miss seen the kids playing in the water, and how the fire bounces off the ocean in the darkness of night.

I miss the beauty of the beach for this is the loveliest gift that God has created for us to enjoy our time with each other, oh how I miss the beach.

Awakened on the beach
Look at the patterns in the sand
Incredible patterns
Who made this beach? ?
This fantastic breach, by who's hand?

Each grain and pebble unique
All the flotsam and jetsum arranged just so
The name of the arranger I seek
Will the designer I ever know? ?

Could such things happen by chance? ?
Could nature arrange the things I see? ?
But where is the romance
If such things could just be? ?

No! ! I believe in the designer! !
His ways to me he'll show
How this perfect beach he made could not be finer

Flu

If I could but linger all day in bed
drinking tea and medicinal whiskey
no more than is good take sudafed
and capture great sneezes in clean, white linen handkies
gorge my cold like a robin her brood
on broth stewn with bits of chicken
or curd with honey drizzle, that preferred
on shivery, brief trips to the kitchen
scratch in the tablet of the frosted pane
as my fingertip goes numb
some couplet of Ovids' or Verlaines'
that straightway dissolves and down the window runs
then climb to the parapet of my pillow again
browse travelogues and dream
of the beaches of Carossal or plage de Saline
I should be the happiest of men.

But I can't so I rise like Lazarus
reluctant to be summoned from the dead
thick with the afflictions of my flux

To Beach or Not To Beach

The beach, for some a burst of bravado,
for others a bath of brilliance.

Sand-coated with lotion and encompassed with cellulite,
I enviously gaze around me.
Bikini bronzed bodies swarm the beach,
while children are amused with sand-castles and beach balls.

Invading music blares from the neighbouring umbrellas,
and with a headache developing,
I cringingly approach the waves.

Mulitcoloured surfboards ride the towering waves,
and currently joined by eager faces,
we duck and dive in time to each wave.

For a cure to the killer salt in one’s mouth.,
I recommend the common beach ice cream
and armed with my overflowing towel,
I retreat for the day.

Toko,
Yes stands for Tokomoro Bay,
Not a place i'd want to stay,
Only to visit,
Certainly it is a beautiful place,
Shouldn't i think not,
Its a place where you can ride horses on the beach,
A beach,
Yes i mentioned a beach,
Yer a nice beach for some,
What im trying to say is its not a place i'd want to stay,
Couldn't even last a day,
Thats from my point of view after all,
Although there is nice people down there,
Sometimes anyway...
Not to be mean to or to offend the people,
Its just not the place i'd want to be..

Dreams to Nightmares

I stare at the wall and close my eyes
I started to dream about parts of the world
Beaches to oceans to schools of fish
My dreams turn to nightmares after awhile

The cool, damp beach where sand comes to rest
The emptiness in the pastel blue sky
The sand placed perfectly in place
The smell of salt water against the shore

The crystal clear ocean calm as can be
The current not even moving sea life
Fish eating at the bottom by the sand
The sound of calm waves hitting the shore

The colorful fish ranging from green to blue
Fish from all different sizes
The sound of fish jumping out of the ocean
They swim without a government to follow

Do you remember the time we walked on the beach
to the sound of the surf as it beat at our feet
and the sun was rising crimson with love
as we walked hand in hand and flew like the doves.
