Just
Is it just...
Another form of tyranny
trying to enforce the dream of peace
upon humanity.
Is 'he'* just another Dictator...
attempting to brainwash
the masses with his socialistic
'share the wealth' mentality?
Maybe I am... Just
another old hippie chick,
my sign held high.
But...
I still feel the need to protest
for there are those who see
Liberalism as a disease
to be eradicated.

The Proposition
You cant have the flower without the root
You cant have the fire without the soot
Even a stripper needs her red tasseled suit
And we were meant to be
In every war the north needs the south
And everyone knows all assholes have a mouth
Without mystery what would writers talk about
And we were meant to be
An apple needs pits the way melons need seed
Your foot needs your arm and your arm needs your knee
And one of these days I know you will need me
We were meant to be, ooohhh, we were meant to be
Youre mothers an ogre your fathers a scamp
You wont see my parents honored on any stamp
But just like a bulb screws into a lamp
We were meant to be
The way the aids needs a vaccine, somewhere a vaccine needs
Aids, the way a victim needs life, a life needs to be saved
And out of all of this will come a better way
We were meant to be

Hypocrisy or Sincerity
What sort of hearts your chests contain,
What sort of brains your heads breed,
That you operate upon eyes of the serpents blind,
And you kiss lips of the leprous lions,
You wash their pads, claws and jaws.
You allow dogs to share meals at the same table,
And sleep in the same bed.
You dive into oceans to vaccinate the diseased sharks.
You are anxious to save from extinction
The rare species of turtles and toads.
To prove the maxim, “love begets love”,
You place scorpions on lids of the eyes.
But you produce missile, bombs and bullets,
Devices of the extensive destruction,
And poke humanity into the fire of wars,
Pools of blood fascinate your eyes,
The world is being coloured red,
You raise conflicts wherever you wish,
For royalties, trades of weapons and natural oil.

Gasoline
You need fuel to get where you're going,
A source of combustion in the engine
That circulates how energy's flowing—
Fluidly in a fast forward motion.
You need fuel to achieve the high speeds,
The rushing feeling of never stopping—
Progress eternal—consumption exceeds
While the necessity of it's dropping.
We have better, quicker, new addictions
Advertised as things you must have to live.
The motivation of constant action
Plugs you in at the pump—stay submissive,
Hooked on personal, commercial vaccines:
Fill up on your fuel, your gasoline.

Star Wars
STAR WARS
God was not happy with the goings-on
Resolved to punish the mankind harshly once
Locked himself in the Master-switch room
With a molten red face of anger and disgust
He thought of sending all the natural forces
But, man has conquered each of them long back
When He tickled upon viruses and epidemics
Earth is securely immune and fully vaccinated against
On test, God sent a big fire ball down
But our Mr. Red Adair **, was there to fight it alone
Now, God has no levers to pull
To cause havoc or deter the peoples down
God was tired, self-defeated and was ashamed
To realize that He is no more omnipotent
Wanting a truce under a forced ceasefire

Learn Ramdas 2
Learn Ramdas,
Who else can Fill your life with
happiness than yourself!
Learn Ramdas,
The mind that sees beauty everywhere in nature,
Surely is naturally beautiful,
Beautiful in its own nature,
It is not that innocence has to see beauty everywhere,
But also the eyes with mature mind!
Learn Ramdas,
Who can smile with your lips
than yourself?
A life can bring smile to another,
Smile is contiguous,
Laugh wakes up the sleeping envious,
Because smile knows to conceal,
Laugh is innocent of envy!
learn Ramdas,

Green, green and green
I want a holiday with a scene
Of green, green and green
A summer of green trees
A landscape of green grass
A view full of green vegetables
The colour green
Is a beauty that must be seen!
From a moving vehicles screen
And while we hold onto those machines
That deprives us of the colour green
Remember they provide us vaccines
As well as help the air to be clean
So for green, green and green
I will travel continents across and in-between
And also to any place that I have never been

Western Medicine
Monday through Friday, we need our caffeine
To give us enough energy to be
Productive members of society.
We love our acid pot of coffee beans.
Friday through Sunday, we need a vaccine:
Something to kill the lingering debris
Of motivation. We need lethargy,
So we soak in alcohol, get serene,
While failing to realize we poison
Ourselves to enjoy our lives. We forget
What it feels like to see things clear-headed.
We're surrounded by Western Medicine—
And narcotics and television sets—
Making sure diseases are embedded.

The Lily In Your Mind (for Susan)
be thankful that it was quick
love suddenly skinned out from your bosom
like a vaccine injection
and then you realize everything is gone
like a wink and then
what you see is an empty room a bed without a shadow
of a man against the moon on an open window
i do not send flowers nor cards
they cannot help drown the grief
i leave you alone with the memories of the lilies
white lilies and soft winds caressing your hair one night
sleep now Susan, dream some more, do not wake up early
tomorrow comes and you must know another name
soon.

Recruiting Agency
I met her the directress Elsie early in the morning.
'Amigo! Long time no see and where were you? '
'Went to the Moon' I said angrily.
'That sounds good and there are some vacancies in the hell
And they require some moon experiences.'
'Please send me there as here they never give me a job.' I begged
'Get ready it takes less than a week to process the Visa.'
'I have a problem about the language.'
'Not to worry and where are you from? '
'Sri Lanka.'
'Then it's O.K. there are lot of your old politicians work there voluntarily
And you are familiar with the dialect, one thing you have to get the vaccination anti-rabies before mingling.'
I took the yellow card and walked towards the Health Department.
And I found myself in the toilet after the strange dream.

On AIDS
Why get the stigma by your carelessness?
Why hold your life and that of others’ in harness?
Why spread the virus through life-saving blood?
Why pluck a flower when ’tis just a bud?
A victim like yourself, why make your spouse?
Why disturb harmony of your own house?
Why pass the virus to your new-born child?
The disease has no cure and could run wild!
The AIDS virus does not spare anyone;
The victim will meet his/ her grave quite soon;
Others around them too suffer (no less):
The curse could leave many a life in mess!
Go test your blood if you have slightest doubt;
Good change of life, counseling brings about;
Adhere to ART for life and live;
Promising future, new vaccines could give!

Melodie Finds The Answer
Melodie travels to China Doll town
to find answers that are very sound.
She sees a Chinese Master who
lets her know
why her condition is bothering her so.
When Melodie was a baby she had a
vaccine—
it was made by Razel who is very mean.
Luckily Melodie has found a cure
she will live longer and more than endure.
Now she will be like a Super Hero like Sarah Star
they will save their planets people from an
evil scar...
Made of course from Razel's hand
Melodie will lead all people out of
quicksand.

Protection
We don't need protection from terrorists anymore.
What we protection from is never-ending war.
Protect us from the propaganda.
Proect us from the lies.
Protect us from the legislation
set up to tyrannize.
Protect us from the vaccines
that cause more harm than good.
Protect us from the violence
that comes from Hollywood.
Protect us from injustice
emanating from the courts.
Protect our kids from drug enhancements
while they're playing sports.
Protect us from illegals taking all our jobs.
Protect us from the gangs and all the angry mobs.
Protect us from the wealthy who never have enough.
The terrorists are not coming.
It's time to call their bluff.

When the Body Starts to Go Broke...
you complain of flu
time has now asked for an accounting
how your body is used
how is it abused
with so much work
and thoughts and stress and
waste
you think about drugs
and the possibility of a vaccine
i say there is more to it
we don't live by drugs alone
or bread
there is more to this tired body
this restless mind
go deeper
ask your heart
and listen

Made to Feel Welcome
I'm sure Sandra M. Gilbert
The author of her collection
Of poems titled
'ghost volcano'
Had no idea what her poem
'Kissing the Bread'
Would remind me of
When she wrote about
Her mother's habit of
Kissing old bread
Before she threw it away
Sandra found out
'Her mother the Sicilian midwife
taught her, taught all nine, '...
'Non so. You kiss it like
crossing yourself before a crisis, before

Paschal
Easter was the old North
Goddess of the dawn.
She rises daily in the East
And yearly in spring for the great
Paschal candle of the sun.
Her name lingers like a spot
Of gravy in the figured vestment
Of the language of the Britains.
Her totem the randy bunny.
Our very Thursdays and Wednesdays
Are stained by syllables of thunder
And Woden's frenzy.
O my fellow-patriots loyal to this
Our modern world of high heels,
Vaccination, brain surgery—
May they pass over us, the old

The Irony of Bloody Sweet
They spend more
huge budgets for war
excited about the prize
a lucrative enterprise
weapons in silos
and despair in ghettos
They caress warheads
foreplay of the living dead
Then missile rain
And splattered flesh
sweet blood stain
as ‘civilizations’ clash
Genocide redefined
Holocaust modified

There’s Hope Anew!
There’s hope anew for the PLHA!
Hope that was never, ever before;
Hope that has withstood the times;
Hope that has braved the climes.
The stigma is just vanishing;
The future is quite promising;
It’s no more a scourge of God;
It is just another chronic disease,
Although a cure isn’t yet in sight.
The world is united against HIV/AIDS!
There is loving care for the sad victims;
There is no more discrimination;
Drugs and ARVs have come to rescue;
It is no more a ‘melting disease’!
So, buck up man, woman and child;
A vaccine is in the near offing;
Practice safe sex and take safe blood;

Puzzles
Immense is God's love for men that
He not only keeps them companied
But amused and entertained
Through his ubiquitous
Puzzle games intricately
worked out for them
..in the sky, in the oceans,
In the mountains.... everywhere
If only they care to seek them out.
To boost their enthusiasm
In this mind racking tournament,
A rich reward awaits
Each puzzle solved
As can be seen from
Watt's answer to his rattling kettle
That won us the locomotive
Or Jenner's answer to the
Uninfected dairymaids that
Won us the vaccine for smallpox
Or Fleming's answer to the growth
