They lose men

Overweight, short-height and black skin
Constantly stay in women’s mind
And obsess them with subtle fear
Of being stigmatized by men.

Leanness, tallness and fair skin
Stay always in women’s mind
And work to lend confidence
Of being formidable to men.

Both ways they lose men.

The right deed is a good deed,
Feathers are reclined on since birth.

Loss Of My Friend

Today I lost my best friend
The best that could ever be
his love for me was tall and strong
Just like the tallest tree

I felt his strength around me
The branches hugged me close
Now I feel I’ve been ripped bare
I feel so lost and exposed

I will not let my dear friend down
And wallow in self pity
I will again grow tall and strong
