The Crying Desert
Each and every sand of desert
Asks me as an expert
Where you were
When she was doing this crime
She left me alone, all alone
In the roaring desert zone
I just wanted her to phone
But she was not in the home
The scene was so horrifying
I searched and every sand
The desert called me crying
She is now in their hand

Loreena mckennitt, THE OLD WAYS
IN the desert
A camel
A lady
Riding
Against an orange sky
The lady in silk
She is running away
From the hot sun
In the desert
The sun is confident
Following her
In the full view
After all, the desert where the camel
And the woman walk

Upon reading Naseer Ahmed Nasir's 'Don't Ever Come, O December
'Deserts unnumbered have expanded in me.' - Naseer Ahmed Nasir'
A slight sigh moves sand
though a complete desert
may not notice being fluid
as a river yet static as the
Milky Way where your words pray,
'Fill distance with light. Make me limitless..'
Deserts, limitless, too, each grain a star,
each-as-One, refer to Referring Fire.
We must quarrel with December,
enumerate our grievances to angels
of every month,
'Who will knit dreamlike sweaters?
Who will pick snowflakes falling in the soul? '

The Wind
A poem written for me :)
The wind is calling, Her breath cold and clear.
She is trying to tell me she is near.
To the desert she calls in soft haunting ways
Mother Nature is waiting so patient and true
The desert she calls out, Has so much to offer you.
The sunsets of yellows, oranges and reds
Dance across the sky up over head.
The is an energy so pure and serine
Only your soul alone in the desert will see.
An eye of an artist, or stroke of a pen
Will be able to capture her to the end
The wind is calling so soft and so true
The desert she whispers will be waiting for you.

Sonnet: The Desert-war
Two Eagles want a mouse as Baghdad’s King!
The Desert -Snake is too wily to swoop:
Once he is gone, they can have anything,
From oil and gasoline to camel-soup!
They encircled the Snake in the desert!
The Snake is swift and appears like mirage!
His oil-wells burn the two intruders' heart;
They cannot turn so fast to be his phage!
The Eagles know the Desert-Sun is hot!
They know they cannot bear the heat for long:
They take a risk but don't want to be caught;
They cannot take the country for a song!
The Eagles may be Kings of their own skies!
The Desert-Snake rules, though on belly lies!

Disjointed Pieces, Bits Of Torn
Disjointed pieces, bits of torn
And butchered flesh, strewn randomly
Around a battle field of smoking dun:
These, these present verses, so I willed
So my Muse willed dictating to my mind
Sub-conscious all unconsciously:
She led me to the desert, and there
Parched and burnt
I asked her for her water which she gave
I imbibed it without a look at it:
And in the night the cold fell from the skies
And in the night the desert vultures came
And in the night the desert wolves did howl
And in the night the desert strangeness came
Appearing like a mist, a restless ghost:
And in the night the cold fell from the skies.
