Epic Joureny

Epic Journey

This story happened before the invention of snow-scooters,
a couple- the Østerjøen was frozen over- wanted to flee
the poverty of Suomi to the relative prosperous Svearike on
a sledge pulled by their pony. It was a long, cold treck, their
small horse got very tired and could not pull them anymore.
They needed the pony it could be used as carter of gods in
Stockholm. They made the tired animal lie down
on the sledge put a big blanket over it and continued their
journey. The winter night was very cold and they also got
too tired to pull the sledge. They lay down beside the horse
and slept snugly to a dazzling sunlight awoke them.
The pony rested was fed with the last sack of hay left and
harnessed. In good mood all three continued their heroic
crossing to Svearike and new future.

White Winter Gold..

I've been sitting and watching
as the kids from our town
take sleds up the hill
and sleigh ride back down..
from short ones to tall ones
from young kids to old
to them a big snow storm
is white winter gold...
Theres some building snowmen
some throwing snow balls..
others building snow forts
ignoring their mothers calls..
with their nose and cheeks
a bright ruby red,
and heads that are sweating
neith the caps on their head...
They just keep on sleighing
ice skating and stuff
making snow men and snow balls
They can't get enough..

Ticket to ride.

Father Christmas goes out on his sleigh with presents for troy and his sister
He’s slipped up as he’s stopped his sleigh in Westminster
He won’t get away with a bribe
There are cctv’s, nowhere to hide
He’ll slide down the chimney quick as a flash
If he hears Rudolph’s bell he’ll dash out, up up and away

Nine Pound Sledge

With the kinetic force of a nine pound sledge
she strikes my chest. This sudden blow from nowhere
against my protective ribcage
fractures my thought processes.
It drives innocent nails into the palms of my love
puncturing my heart with splintered chords of hate.
The striated muscles of my limbs go soft; embarrassed,
they become limp, emasculated,
a pathetic atrophied excuse of a man.

Pierced and shocked by this unpleasant surprise
I experience a prolapse and begin to bleed.
My chest heaves in silent opposition
to this forced regurgitation,
and I protest
the vitriole of her ambush.

Deaf to my plea she puts the sledge down
and picks up a Stryker saw,
a saw designed to cut through bone

Santa's Reindeer Ride

We've got our little fingers workin' hard
On the trains and dolls and cars
Hurryin' 'cuz Santa's a-waitin'

Truth is stranger than friction

The joy of truth is
that it can be funnier,
crazier,
than fiction.

On September 16 the referee
suspended a football match
following complaints by the spectators
that the players on both
multicultural or should I say
multiracial teams
had been racially abusing each other
with terms like 'black bastard'

a player corrected this, explaining
that it wasn't racial abuse but
'sledging' - to put off
players from kicking penalties etc.:
'Sure it was abuse, but there

Under that cold amber glow
That professed to be the sun
Trying to melt our fun;

Merry Christmas Santa Happy New Year

Santa Claus had done his very merry best.
He was almost ready for Christmas.
The reindeer were eager to make a start.
The elves were packing toys furiously,
Like there was no tomorrow.
Yes, time waits for no man...

Santa Claus made a final inspection.
His sleigh was in tip-top condition.
Everyone stopped to say the Christmas Prayer.
The magic moment was upon them all.
Once in his sleigh, he gave them a wave.
Suddenly Santa was on his way...

The reindeer flew above the clouds
With Rudolph's red nose aglow...
And Santa sang the song he wrote
Then shared out some of the mince pies.
Three hours later, the mince pies had run out
And half the world had received their presents.
