A Ballad
In a costly palace Youth goes clad in gold;
In a wretched workhouse Age's limbs are cold:
There they sit, the old men by a shivering fire,
Still close and closer cowering, warmth is their desire.
In a costly palace, when the brave gallants dine,
They have store of good venison, with old canary wine,
With singing and music to heighten the cheer;
Coarse bits, with grudging, are the pauper's best fare.
In a costly palace Youth is still carest
By a train of attendants which laugh at my young Lord's jest;
In a wretched workhouse the contrary prevails:
Does Age begin to prattle?-no man heark'neth to his tales.
In a costly palace if the child with a pin
Do but chance to prick a finger, straight the doctor is called in;
In a wretched workhouse men are left to perish
For want of proper cordials, which their old age might cherish.

Gypsies In The Palace
Gypsies in the palace
By: jimmy buffett, glenn frey, will jennings
1985
"i have heard that some of the great parties of all times have
Been at my house - when i wasn't there."
-- spoken:
"in days of old, when knights were bold,
And journeyed from their castles,
Trusty men were left behind,
Knights needed not the hassles.
They helped themselves to pig and peach,
And drank from king's own chalice.
Oh, it was a stirring sight
These gypsies in the palace."
"and some things never change. hit it boys!"
So long boss, knock 'em dead, don't worry 'bout a thing
Wish that we could come along, we'd love to hear you sing
Limo's here, your bags are packed, the list is by the phone
Me and snake will watch your place and treat it like our own
Look at all this liquor

Success consists in being successful, not in having potential for success. Any wide piece of ground is the potential site of a palace, but there's no palace till it's built.

Golden Children
Gold has an advantage over us. Gold mattered over all other matter. Glowing is the metal of desire, the metallic abode is upon us like a golden palace twitching like silver, but gold. Golden palaces harvest children of gore to expertly slice and shear the halls and walls so that the germs must disappear from their scalps. Are they skulls, or just plain children? Is there an uprising? Or are there too many children in the golden palace? Gold shall teach the mighty reward to the ending of some crazy children.

La Muse Vénale (The Venal Muse)
Récolteras-tu l'or des voûtes azurées?

Ajisaka
I later that night, did not want to be alone, here
I want to watch the Night
when people around the palace, silence
Not to speak and speak sapa
Meditating on the Word of Natural hundreds of centuries ago
Turn of the year, the turn of the night
Many people around the court all night long
Blessed hope
Driving around the palace as night patrolling officers
A security guard in every alley, every street
Looked with suspicion on the doors are still open
Are there people still keep a watch on them
Or was sound asleep, and sleep in the cradle of his dreams
Meanwhile, night birds, flapping their wings looking in
Rays are still a crescent moon, a star pendarnya looking away
Reciting praises to Ida Sang Hyang Widi
Hopefully tonight mankind free from sambekala, when bebendu
The Teacher, Harjono, suck smile, advised:
If this works out in the puja and prayers,

Palaces of Glass
‘I don’t love you anymore! ’
Then she turned to face the door,
As the well-spring of emotion burst at last;
For the truth will not be hidden
From the moment that it’s bidden
Though it shatters all the palaces of glass.
All the palaces of glass
That we toil to build, alas,
Shatter surely at the first bleak winter’s chill;
Along corridors and towers
By the eaves, and in the bowers
Icy winds and bitter mists will take their fill.
‘I have loved you now since when,
And will love, until again
You can find it in your heart to think of me.’
Then I looked, and she was gone
With a winter coming on,
The like of which I thought I’d never see.

Sate
'Sate, sate..... te te'
Sound builders satay at night
echoed through the halls of the capital
go on and on so every night
the walls of the houses across the street, alleys
in the capital of the kingdom
witness craft, tenacity and perseverance
peddle wares
favorite food of all citizens,
officials and the king
anticipated arrival
moreover the king's wife and family
they secretly love it
although manners forbade direct contact
with the repairman satay
'Te, te...... te goat, and cow's father.... '
Until one day the king, officials and retainer
In the vicinity of the royal palace
Angry, out skewers
