Quotes about green, page 2
Green, green and green
I want a holiday with a scene
Of green, green and green
A summer of green trees
A landscape of green grass
A view full of green vegetables
The colour green
Is a beauty that must be seen!
From a moving vehicles screen
And while we hold onto those machines
That deprives us of the colour green
Remember they provide us vaccines
As well as help the air to be clean
So for green, green and green
I will travel continents across and in-between
And also to any place that I have never been

The Gippsland Hills Are Greener
The Powlett river downland go whispering towards the sea
And butcherbird is piping on sunlit wattle tree
And silver gulls are calling along the Gippsland shore
I love you my dear Country each day i love you more.
The English Land is greener some have been known to say
And English birds sing sweetly in leafy woods of may
But Gippsland hills are greener the greenest i have seen
And Aussie bird sing sweetly where woods are evergreen.
I've been to Indonesia and I've visited Japan
And I've had cake and coffee with wealthy Asian man
With wealthy men of London i have been out to tea
But bold men of Australia appeal far more to me.
I work for London company for influential co
And all my friends are wealthy and wealthy men i know
I once was middle class girl from Korumburra Town
And dad worked for demolition co knocking old buildings down

A Film on the Water
tercets, puns
Sir Rule, Ian Ballew and Ock, a marine
set off on a houseboat to study
the difference between greenish-blue and bluish-green.
The deep blue sky on that fog-foggiest of days
they mistakenly thought was the sea
which explains why to us, when they saw a green haze -
Ian whooped, 'It's a film on the water! ' And so...
Sir Rule sent Ock for popcorn and Pepsi,
Ock started to cuss, 'Why? I always have to go! '
If blue means profane and if naive spells out green,
Who wins the Oscar? It's not hard to see -
greenish-blue, naively-profane - Ock, a marine.
or if you prefer:
bluish-green, profanely-naive - still Ock, a marine.

And we will call it Britain
Crisp green the stems of daffodils
That brave in spring cold sun
Soft tender green the hawthorn buds
Unfurled with winter done
Bright green the fresh leaves on the limes
That verdant branches lace
Dark green the lily’s slender shoot
That moist earth, piercing breaks
But greenest of all that is green
An island Earth did make
And we will call it Britain
Natures green estate

The grass is not, in fact, always greener on the other side of the fence. Fences have nothing to do with it. The grass is greenest where it is watered. When crossing over fences, carry water with you and tend the grass wherever you may be.

The Greening Of America
Shes closing all the shades
She finds the daylight just a little freighting
She pulls the peddles overhead each day
But shes opening her business is blooming nightly
And every time it does it gets me tazy
The color of her head changing every day
A little breath of wind and I just go crazy
The greening of americas progressing smoothly
Cuz shes choosing me
Its later then I said
And all the worlds a shade of black and purple
Everybody else has gone to bed
But when she makes me happy I just fly in circles
And every time she does I just get teary
The color of head changing everyday
A little puff of wind and shes always near me
The greening of america is progressing nicely
Its all right with me
Ba ba ba ba na na na na na etc.
If theres another life, and if get to chose Id like

Lust Africans
Looking for greener pasture
outside the greenland
what are they really
looking for outside the
greenland
how can i leave my greenland
for lust of madness
the lust keep blinding
them
the greener pasture is
here in Africa

Embracing the Roses
Crisp blue sky
Parks
The night
Their love
Rustled
In dewy
Greening gardens
…unobserved
