It was the year 2007,
that was the year Jean went to heaven.
I went to see the place she was raised,
she had an interesting life I do say.
She designed Hallmark’s house,
Her dad was friends with Walt Disney
who created Mickey Mouse.
She loved children,
for she designed a playground set,
She was very talented and the best.
A storyteller and a poet talented at age 8,
She edited her mom’s poems made them great.
Ted Nugent is her famous cousin,
I saw him perform at Iowa Jam,
He kept people buzzing.
Now I wear Jean’s ring,
she wanted to give me everything,
but that’s o.k. memories of her are the best thing.

Pearl, a republican, finds it hard to change.
Merle, a democrat, as usual thinks Pearl is strange.
Earl, is independent minded and politically on the fence.

Pearl whines, “When I hear the liberal crowd, they’re just too loud.”
Merle snaps back, “Pearl, that’s no reason.
Would you vote for Mickey Mouse if he were quiet for a season? ”
Earl joins in, “I’d vote either way for anyone who didn’t say
Something stupid for a day.”

Pearl laments, “I’m worried about where our country’s going.”
Merle agrees, “All politicians argue while our problems keep growing.”
Earl declares, “We, the people, will demonstrate,
Until our government really starts to improve our fate.”

These senior members differ on many issues, but they’re closely bound…

How Has He Managed To Do This...?

I think he is fantastic.
I think he is glorious and tremendous.
I think he is exceptional.
Brilliant.
Focused and sharp.
He is credible and responsible.
A breath of fresh air.
Magnificent with integrity.
And...
As long as he remains,
As high as he is in the polls...
I will endorse him with the utmost respect.
When he dips,
That's it!
He can forget all of the praise.
However...
This also has to be taken into consideration.
These are the days of change.
And IF he should plummet into a cesspool...

White bread and white maids,
Marmalade and sugar tarts: stick me
High atop the citrus tree,
Like a paper airplane, paper nose pointing
